  1. Maybe I'm having a placebo effect, since my CTD's weren't extreme or anything, and I've played a few days only, but since I installed these scripts, I haven't had a single CTD (and only one bear encounter xD). It seems, they work wonders! Thank you!
  2. So, if I have a playthrough ongoing, that usually shows those errors in the log, but not as extreme as some people have here (logs of over 100 MB, saves terrible bugged and with constant CTD), it will take the due effect, or it's just useless to install them if I don't start a new game?
  3. I have to ask: may I use this fix in a ongoing character? I'd really like to use them to get rid of the enormous amount of errors related to that vanilla script, but of course, I don't wanna lose more than 100 hours of playing (hell, it wouldn't even be the first time). So, may I install them and they will take effect on my current playthrough?

I have a issue I'd like to adress, or more accurately, a question about mods that stopped working since update 1.8 I have been browsing the nexus recently, and stumbled upon a bunch of mods that I'd like to add to my Skyrim. Thing is, they're somewhat old and the modders haven't updated them after the update 1.8. As far as I know, if you had an outdated version of Skyrim (say, 1.7 when 1.8 was just released), and you tried to open mods created with the CK of 1.8 in ypur outdated version, it wouldn't recognize them, and they wouldn't have any effect in your game (since the format of the esp changed or something like that). But, my question is: if I have my Skyrim up to date with my CK, can I use it to open the old mods and save them, or somehow update them myself, in order to make them work in my game, or they have to be redone from scratch?   6. Hello, I was hoping someone could assist me in an issue I'm having here. I've downloaded a mod which features some female armors, and I'm trying to modify the scale of the tights and calves in them, since they make the body of my character pretty slim (I'm using CBBE). I found this comment on another forum, where a member tells another how to change the size of the breasts using nifscope, and I thought I could also use the formula to change tights/calves: "you can always try to set weight to 0 and change the skeleton in nifscope where you see L BREAST and R BREAST there is a line called "scale" you can change the value here to have bigger breast" After reading the comment, I went to try adjusting the armors in nifscope, not aiming to get bigger breasts but thicker calves and tights. I tried setting the scale a little larger and it looked excellent in the program (I just used 1.2), so I saved my nifs (both _1 and _0) and went to the game. But, for some reason, the changes won't activate, even when I exited Skyrim, went to nifscope again, and checked the meshes were, in fact, as I saved them earlier. I've tried adjusting the scales of many body parts to silly levels (gigantic legs and things like that), trying on various armor, and even on the female body nif I'm using. But no matter how much changes I do and save, ingame, the models will look the same way they were before any editing, even if I don't have any backup of them nowere in my pc. I find this pretty strange, since I'm modding files that nifscope show just as I want them, but I can't see the changes in game, and i have no backups at all, not bsa files or anything that could load the "older" meshes. Could you tell me, if you now, how to make the changes take place? I would be very grateful. Good night!

Long story short: My main quest is bugged, 'cause I can't end "The Horn of Jurgen Windcaller" or start "A blade in the dark", 'cause Delphine won't offer me the option to rent the "attic" (left) room in Riverwood. I've tried every solution available (using the console to set stage by stage of both quests, adding the horn to my inventory. reading the note again, recycling Delphine, spawning her again, and a long etc), I even posted here looking for help, and I concluded there's no way to fix it. So, I was wondering if there would be a way to fix this, or at least help me "force" the next quests to start, using the CK. I've never messed with it to alter quests, but I realized it may be possible since there's a option for modding quests. Can anyone guide me, if it were possible to mod Delphine to force her give the option, or make the next quest available some other way? I would really aprecciate any valuable info/tutorial that elightens me about this. Thanks!

I'm starting to get CTD's just after finishing the quest "Bound until death" of the dark brotherhood, and sorting things out, I have the exact same problem this person had in one topic from some time ago: "Before I post my papyrus log I think I should explain what (I think) is going on: The CTD is related to the Dark Brotherhood quest "Bound Until Death", the one which you have to assassinate Victoria Vici at her wedding. Specifically, one of the bards that only spawns during the wedding. The npc named Lodi(refid 000d5637). After going through my log, I literally only found the below repeating itself non-stop during the whole duration: [08/26/2012 - 05:43:42PM] error: (000D5637): has no AI process, so no idle can be played.. stack: [ (000D5637)].Actor.PlayIdle() - "<native>" Line ? Could it be that the game tried to despawn him but didn't do it completely? I tried to move him to me and kill him with console command, needless to say that didn't turn out well. The commands worked but he just wasn't there, the scripts kept trying to run though. I remember having a somewhat similar problem before with dunBluePalaceArenaSCRIPT.pex, during which the refid for Pelagius the Suspicious and the arena script was filling up my log. That problem was fixed with this. Is there a fix to this? Thanks in advance. " Hopefully, I had a backup save from before doing the quest and I was able to keep playing from there. The thing is, I have the acrive quest in my log, but the "event" of the wedding that triggers the bad script won't activate as long as I don't enter Solitude. I've tried some workouts and none have worked 'till now: - Bringing Victoria to me using "moveto player" command to kill her: the result is the script triggering anyway, even if I later go to Solitude and confirm the Lodi character isn't there. It is as if as soon as I have Victoria near me when the quest is active, the script will run anyway, even if the bard never spanws. - Killing the bard normally and using "markfordelete" on him - the script keeps running anyway. - Killing the bard with the console, when I'm in a location far away from Solitude - same reason. So, can somebody tell me if there's a way to fix this stuff with a file I could download, like the ones that fixed problems with "dustdroprandom" and "dunbluepalacearena"? Maybe you can work with the CK to permanently delete the bard from the quest, or anything? Have anyone had this particular problem also. Thanks beforehand, guys! Any help will be greatly aprecciated.
  9. Oh, my bad. Actually I just found out the script problem I was asking you about was a error that spawns after the quest "Bound until Death" of the DB, apparently the game doesn't "despawn" a bard that only is meant to appear in the wedding. It's causing annoying ctd's for me. I guess it was just a coincidence with your log.

  11. I'm having some new CTD issues after some mods I installed recently, and I'm noticing some new script issues I haven't seen before, and they are similar to yours. I'm talking about "has no AI process, so no idle can be played" and "F_BardSongsInstrumentalWedd_0010C67B.Fragment_0() - "SF_BardSongsInstrumentalWedd". By some chance, you installed Reaper's Dark Tower recently?

  13. Indeed, I also fin it strange as hell. I've used the console before to start "Blood on Ice", and also to complete a bugged objective of one of the quests of the Thieves Guild without problem at all. I've also seen two or three threads with the exact same problem as mine, and they never got the solution, only "start a new character and pray that you're not screwed". I was hoping someone could help me here and maybe share the solution. Anyway! I tried mmoving around the characters with little sucess, I don't think it's as much a locational trigger as it is regarding the stages of the quest. Just to picture the situation, I've also tried setting the stage of mq105ustengrav to the point when you have to hand over the horn to Aerngeir, I added the horn to my inventory via the console, and even when tue quest marker points to him, he gives me no option to take the horn or continue from there. Reseting the quest also didn't work. I'm guessing the only way to fix this, would be if a mod exist out there that forces NPC to offer you all their dialogue options, or replacing a messed up script manually, since veryfing the integrity of files haven't been of much help.
  14. Thanks for the answer man, but it didn't work. If I use setstage mq105ustengrav 40, the quest marker indeed points to Wulfgar, but he won't interact with me, nor say anything; also, ANOTHER quest marker keeps pointing at Delphine, wh won't give me the desired dialogue. So, I can "force" the stages of the quest in the log, but it won't make any difference in game. I find this pretty strange, since the console seems to work alright with other bugged quests not related to the main storyline. If I try to set the stages of mq106 just as you told me, anything would happen. The console won't mark any error, but in the game, anything changes, any quest starts and Delphine still won't offer me the attic room. So, I'm back at the beggining. I don't want to think I'm screwed, there must be way to make it work, via console, a mod, or maybe replacing a broken script manually, perhaps?
  15. I have a severe problem regarding the main quest of Skyrim, one problem that actually breaks the main quest, and I've tried everything I have at hand to solve it. It goes as follows: In the quest "The horn of Jurgen Windcaller", I got to the point when I need to ask Delphine for the attic room in Sleeping Giant Inn, in order to sleep in the room in the left, be aproached by her get the horn to take to the Graybeards, and get the quest "A blade in the dark". I've been past this point two times in other playthroughs with no problems at all. But now, when I talk to Delphine she won't even offer me the option of the attic room, only to rent the normal one. As consecuence, I can't end the quest of the horn, nor start "A blade in the dark", at all. I've tried several ways without being able to solve the issue: - Ending the quest of the horn and starting the next with the console - the first marks as finished, but the Graybeards act as it never happened, and the latter won't even start, no matter the number of the stage I use. - Adding the horn via the console - it won't work, the graybeards won't recognize I have it in my inventory. - Attacking Delphine, ley her crouch into the ground and then standing up, killing her and resurrecting her (after making her non essential), disabling and enabling her, using "recycleactor" and everything - she won't give me the line for "rent the attic room" no matter what. - Reverting to an old save - the result is always the same, and I keep backups from practically all my older saves. - Returning later to ask for the room - same result. - Veryfing file integrity - same result. I don't have any mods that alter Delphine or the storyline in any way, and I don't have DLC (Dawnguard or Heartfire). Also, I've seen some threads with the exact same issue, without a solution. If by any chance anyone can help me to progress the main quest, I'd be absolutely grateful. IDK, if the issue can be solved in a normal way, maybe someone can point me to a mod/make one that serves the purpose of start quests, making them advance, or something that forces NPC's to give you all the options in their dialogue in order to trigger quests? Anything could help. Thanks in advance.
