  1. Eldrin underestimated the count's reply, but he remained content. He was okay with the loot being split evenly, but he remembered the last time that happened on a dungeon clearing contract, he "accidentally" pushed a colleague (from another guild) into a pit with spikes at the bottom. All so he and the rest of the gang could get a little more dough for the contract. He just hoped that the "expedition" wasn't a total failure. He didn't argue about the shady Redguard's acceptance aboard, thinking that it wouldn't be worth it. He still made a mental note to keep an eye on him since he looked pretty damn dangerous. Like the kind of guy who would blow up a ship of adventurers just for shits and giggles. But hell, it's not like Eldrin wasn't as treacherous. After all, he did shove some moron down a hole for a "raise". Nevertheless, he simply resumed his loitering in his chair, awaiting the ship's departure. (He also contemplated on which one of the crew members would die first). The sooner they left, the sooner he got to shoot things.
  2. We could have something similar to Deus Ex, but probably not any time soon. I think that it might come around in the 50's.

  4. You can set the difficulty to Novice mode in the settings menu under gameplay, no mods needed. You deal twice as much damage to enemies and enemies only deal half as much damage than they used to.
  5. If you want to have a group of followers accompany you on your adventures, (If that's what you mean by 'team') then you have a choice of 3 mods, all of which allow you to have multiple followers, new features, etc: Ultimate Follower Overhaul (UFO) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14037/? Amazing Follower Tweaks (AFT) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15524/? Extensible Follower Framework (EFF) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12933/? Comparison video below: (It explains what new features each mod has, and the video maker's personal preference is at the end. His voice is a little quiet so turn your volume up a bit)
  6. http://i.imgur.com/oPIBg.jpgGreat idea! Maybe it could fix this too.
  7. I've said all there is to be said. Go ahead.
  8. Out of all of his previous experiences as a sellsword, none have been this 'exotic'. Eldrin quickly looked over the contract laid in front of him, signed it, and slid it across the table to the Count's Khajiit assistant. He had only one question: "Will the total loot's worth be divided amongst ourselves, or do you already have a set payment for each of us?" Almost on cue, a tall, stalwart Redguard man appeared out of nowhere and made a last minute job application. He also presented the Count with a sizable bag of gold. He'd never heard of a man who paid to get a job. As far as he knew, he was not told he needed to pay a toll to embark on this expedition. He looked the part of a shady dealer or a fanatic, but you never know. He wordlessly returned to his own business. That man's concerns weren't his, but he still tried to keep an eye. Without much else to do, and without further questions, he made himself comfortable. He leaned back in his chair, kicked his feet up on the table, and sharpened his arrows one by one with a stone.
  9. I think it would be a cool idea if you had the ability to pick up a person's head like an item when you decapitate someone, and perhaps you could decorate your house with the heads of your fallen foes. What are your opinions? Also I haven't made mods before so I don't really know the limitations. (Which I'm pretty sure there are.)
  10. Edwin listened to Abdul's protests, which mostly puzzled him for the moment. "Would you leave a worthy opponent to die a slow and painful death and call that humane?" Killing the dragon was inevitable. Even if it kept it's sly attitude, and even tried to bribe them with it's doubtful "secrets", he pitied him. Letting him live would definitely be a much more painful way to go. He stared once more at the dragon. There was not sorrow in his eyes, but acceptance. The dragon knew completely that he was going to die, and he wanted to with honor. They couldn't disgrace themselves by leaving him to suffer, although another part of him was screaming "TRAP!". Edwin cautiously approached the dragon sword in hand and spoke: "You fought with honor old dragon. We shall grant you the death you seek."
  11. Eldrin accepted his meal. Noblemen normally wouldn't give him such luxurious food. The fanciest he usually got was dried pork. Here, it was as if the captain had brought a festival on board. If the captain was this wealthy and generous, then by the Divines he could only imagine what the pay would be. He was going to have to thank Commodus later for giving him this job as well as keeping it a surprise. Speaking of Elsweyr, he was familiar with it's people, as it was easier to find a Khajiit in his guild than snow on a winter's day. He occasionally got a mission to Elsweyr, a few times a year at most. He had the occasional job of getting either moon sugar or skooma for those mentally unwell addicts. He'd once been to Senchal some years ago. Senchal was a mercantile port city filled with open markets, bazaars, and of course, the black market. But with all of it's success, the city still hasn't fully recovered from the Knahaten flu epidemic centuries ago. As a result, much of the city remains ruined or abandoned.
  12. Edwin watched as the dragon was shot out of the sky by one of the ship's harpoons. He ran to the edge and peered down at the dragon lying mortally wounded on the ground below. Following the others he climbed down the rope to the ground. The lower he got, the more he began to spot more dire wounds on him. Yet, the beast was still alive, just barely able to move. The dragon twitched profusely on the ground, still fighting for just a few extra seconds to live. For a moment, he just stood there and stared as the dragon desperately tried to get one last shot at them. He wasn't so sure what to do with it. He didn't like an idea giving it a painful death, but he couldn't just leave him there either. He looked to his partners and gave his say. "If we're going to kill him, we should at least give him a quick death."
  13. Eldrin arrived at the Waterfront from a week's trip from Bravil, keeping a low profile. The guards around him were too panicked to notice him but better safe than sorry. Last week, he received a letter from his mentor, Commodus, telling him to find a Dark Elf captain at the Waterfront and join his party. The letter stated this would be his most important contract, so he assumed his client would be some really big cheese. If only the letter explained more. For now, he'll undergo the regular procedure. He meets the client, shields the coward from his own shadows, and gets his pay within 2 week's time. He continues walking past the anxious citizens, within a minute. He spots the ship described in the letter and sure enough, there was a well dressed Dark Elf, as well as a Khajiit woman as his assistant. "Good afternoon milord. I believe I am the mercenary you hired for your boat trip." He took a seat on the stairs leading to the stern deck without another word, awaiting further orders.
  14. Name: Eldrin Race: Wood Elf Age: 25 Association: Has several ties in the criminal underworld as well as the Corbolo Cutthroats, an infamous mercenary association which he is a member of. Personality: Sly, clever, and nimble, but is also sometimes rude and obscene. He is easily provoked and will not hesitate to put an arrow into those who do. He has a neutral morality, but still takes enjoyment in certain troublesome deeds as well as respectable ones Strengths: Has extraordinary skill with a bow as well as having expertise with the sword. He is also experienced in stealth and other skills. Weaknesses: A magnet for trouble. Because of the sect he belongs to, he is often a wanted man. Background: Eldrin was born out of wedlock to a Bosmeri noble. In these parts of the world, particularly in Elven societies. bastard children are considered disgusting, and are treated no better than slaves. This was the kind of lifestyle Eldrin lived until his 10th birthday. When Eldrin turned 10, he ran away on a ship headed towards Bravil. Eldrin lived the next two years as a street urchin, stealing from the market and pickpocketing the citizens. At age 12, Eldrin was adopted by an Imperial man named Commodus. Commodus took notice in the boy's skill in thievery and other practical skills, and invited him to join his brother's mercenary company known as the Corbolo Cutthroats; a notorious group of mercenaries. Eldrin was trained in several skills in his new guild, like swordplay, stealth, and whatnot. He showed prodigious skill in archery, even surpassing the finest archers in the guild by the time he was 17. By then, he was a force to be reckoned with. P.S: I also wanted to post his appearance, so: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=224178895 (Edit: Sorry, set it to private by mistake. The link is fixed now.)
  15. Edwin heard the loud roar of the dragon. It nearly swept him off of his feet. Startled, he instinctively fired a few spells at the sky before coming to his senses. The dragon was similar to the first dragon they faced before. The only difference was that it was flying. But this is just what his optimism was saying. Nevertheless, he immediately fired several spells at the dragon. This one was fast however, faster than a black horse on moon sugar. Only one or two spells connected. He thought of summoning a Flame Atronach to make striking the dragon easier. Needless to say, he did, and it somewhat worked. Following Tordin's plan, he tried to keep the dragon in front of the ship. Whenever the dragon would attempt to veer to the ship's side or fly overhead, he'd herd it back to the front with a large blast of magic. He even used the crossbows Bragol tossed on deck to his advantage, using a Telekinesis spell to fire them remotely. The only problem was that the dragon could fly under and attack the stern. Thankfully the dragon hadn't thought of that yet, and was just sticking to charging into the same traps over and over again. Soon the dragon was completely trapped in front of the bow. He signaled Raj to charge forward and impale the flying lizard.
  16. Hi! Are we creating our characters in this page? Sorry for asking a bit late.
  17. Edwin rested near the ship's bow on his way to their next destination. He looked over Skyrim's surprisingly calm environment. The pine trees of Falkreath were replaced by birch trees as they headed east. The mountain High Hrothgar was always visible throughout the trip. Time passed, he had been absorbed in his book for the past hour, until he heard the word coming out of someone's mouth Riften, The City of Thieves. He had heard stories about Riften, a godforsaken city populated by the lowest vermin Tamriel has to offer. The ruling Dragon Priest contributed to this. This fossil was notorious for performing gruesome rituals on those who displeased him. This time he aimed to do more than what he did in Whiterun, which was mostly getting in the way. If he hesitated or made one slip this time, he had a horrible death to expect. He kept his hand close to his sword, fully aware what kind of hell they were descending into. (P.S: Sorry for the wait, been distracted lately. Grella and Bragol don't need amulets, we've got enough as it is. They could stay at the ship, protect it, make sure it doesn't get stolen or blown up while the rest are gone.) (Edit: Nearly three weeks and still no word. Are we still alive?)
  18. Thanks Fennec! They're all great. :) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
  19. (Edwin's at Dragonsreach, slacking off. I don't really know what to do with him at this moment.)
  20. Hopefully, i'm still active.
  21. Edwin awoke the next morning, sitting on a bench close to the throne. A handful of servants were cleaning from last night. He had quite a horrible hangover, as if his stomach was full of pond scum. Edwin disregarded the note, believing it was for the Jarl. He stumbled up the stairs and out to the balcony for some fresh air and to collect his thoughts. After he painfully crawled up a set of stairs and walking over to the edge of the balcony, he looked over he saw the town of Whiterun. It was a beautiful view, much different when they first arrived. People were going about their daily lives, not a single unhappy person on the street. Although the thing that caught his eye was a colossal ship with dragon bones on it's hull. Intimidating. He disregarded this for now at least as this was probably something the Jarl was doing. All he worried about right now was getting water for his terrible hangover.
  22. Airships are great! They're actually lore friendly and dragon fights will be a lot more epic. Ominous also has a good point. It will be a necessity to do side quests and dungeon delving to gather resources for the ship. A little idea of mine is due to the scarcity of the resources, the crew won't dig up as much fuel. Therefore, the ship might not fly as high or fast as it normally would which makes it easier to see random encounters and other stuff below.
  23. During the feast, Edwin slouched in his chair feeling ecstatic. He had a rather large plate of food which he ravenously ate. He was also satisfied by his place at the center of attention. He eagerly chatted his lungs out with the other party-goers, nobles and peasants alike. It sure was pleasant to be at a party again. The food, the music, and the delicious wine, it was pure nostalgia to him. With all of the people around him, it would be much easier to gain information of the other holds and dragon priests. "So what's there to know of the other holds?" An elderly nobleman spoke up, casually leaning on the wall. "Well if you're wondering which hold to liberate next, Falkreath seems like a nice idea. It's closer to us, and the dragon priest there, Krosis, is the least experienced. However, because of his inexperience he is under close watch by Alduin. On the other hand, if you go to Riften, I'm sure the Thieves Guild will be willing to help if they're still active. But I have to warn you though, I hear the dragon priest, Rahgot, is a frequent practitioner of human sacrifice, don't take this one lightly." Edwin took a moment to consider this. It was a difficult decision. Five minutes later, he gave up and decided to hold on to that thought in his head. This was the time to have fun and he was going to use it wisely. Soon enough, he was celebrating like a Nord. That is until he got so drunk he passed out on the middle of the floor.
  24. Edwin returned to the Dragosreach balcony. Hevnoraak's ashes were still there, untouched. In the ashes was a mask that survived. He pulled it out of the ashes and stared at it for a few moments. The magical power in the mask was very strong. He stuffed it in a large pouch on his belt! Keeping it as a trophy. When he came back to the main hall, he was just in time to see Abdul and Sivari leaving. Edwin left as well, but not to join them. His intentions were to spread the news of Hevnoraak's death. Edwin stood boldly in front of the statue of Talos. He pulled the mask from his pouched, raised it into the air, and announced: "Attention everyone!" A good sized crowd gathers around the statue. "Hevnoraak lies dead on the Dragonsreach balcony! His draugr servants are back to what they're supposed to be! Rotting corpses! Jarl Balgruuf the Greater has finally returned after three long months, and is having a feast tonight at the palace!" The crowd bursts into a chorus of cheer and happiness. Edwin slams the mask on the ground and stomps in it, much to the people's enjoyment. Nords wildly celebrated along the streets of Whiterun. Edwin and the others were heralded as heroes and saviors. At sunset, the gates of Dragonsreach were open for the citizens of Whiterun. The long awaited feast has begun.
