  1. Pretty happy with myself, just figured out tes5edit enough to make some nice tweaks and adjustments for my own personal gaming experience. Hoping to make my own first mod and upload it, if I can figure it out it will be to make skyrim bows only use one first person aiming stance (the regular one of course) even when sneaking since i'm into archery and although both animations bug me the regular one is by far the lesser of two evils (imo at least) About me, I'm 22, have a 3 year old son who's a monster, I'm a stay at home dad so i get time to fiddle with my games (have morrowind, oblivion, FO3 and skyrim atm) and i'm getting to the point where i rarely break them (at least the last two, morrowind and oblivion are pristine atm) I have Black ops 2 for the 360, gamertag Smokyninja1620, and lately i've been mercin in hardcore TDM. My modding exp. is only FO3, which is limited broke more than i fixed, and now skyrim, hopefully i can get around to oblivion soon and my brother has a vast collection for morrowind that he wants to set me up with so i hope to get to that when i can. Fortunately I learn pretty quick, although i can sometimes overlook the obvious, so i hope to one day make a great mod to unleash upon the nexus. I think that's about all so... hi everybody .
  2. in tes5edit what would i change to remove the sneak bow draw animation (so i would always draw as if standing up, with the bow vertical at my side, regardless of sneaking) or what would i change, If you could reference the entries on the imperial bow with the line(s) to change (formID 00013841 from skyrim.esm) I would be ever so grateful as i think i could figure it out from there and do all the bows that way i only have one manner of aiming to deal with. If this isn't possible with tes5edit, what would be needed to do it? Thanks for any help you can provide. This will be the last edit I feel I absolutely need to skyrim so I will forever be grateful, and providing for success will upload and give credit for your help
  3. crikey mate, that second one is a masterful work of art
  4. no, i learned about those issues before hand, my skyrims interaction with steam is as limited as possible
  5. Started having a problem where wrye bash wouldn't make bashed patches and also had a problem where loading skyrim on it's own it would crash if i tried to load a game or start a new one....lo and behold, it was something to do with how wrye bash edits the skyrim.ini luckily had several backups and was able to input all the tweaks manually with no problem, now i have the tweaks and everything works...moral of the story, don't inject into your ini file with wrye bash (if this is common knowledge i missed the memo)
  6. yeah, i don't use third person and don't use my crosshair while using my bow and see very little sideways movement from first person just don't like the aiming. I just know like FO3 has iron sights and was hoping a small mod had been made to make archery better, even changing the game to always use the stock standing bow position/draw would be an improvement...just don't know enough to mod anything like that and not have to worry about breaking something
  7. I'm looking for a mod that adjusts first person aiming with bows, as it is it feels like I'm holding the bow at chest height and not really aiming. Using iHUD and it's a pain to try to get on target always aiming up and to the left of where it looks like i should be aiming. I have some archery experience and so the sloppy aiming bugs me, i want the real archery feel. anyways, it should look something like it would for the guy in this video <a href=" "> where if it was a short range shot ~30-40 ft I'd be shooting pretty much straight down the shaft, and longer shots my target would be below the arrow head. EDIT: have been using the tweaks to make the arrows fly straight rather than rising, but the aim still feels off more than it should

Reposting in the request thread in case there isn't one EDIT: am using tweaks so the arrows fly straight, but still feel i have to aim low
  9. yeah, I've been using NMM since i started modding except for FO3/NV as i heard FOMM is better, and know about utilities, have a few and seem to keep getting more. Just that i have only heard mention of wryebash and haven't touched the tes modding programs because i don't wanna damage anything. well i'll give a bashed patch a shot and see if i have any problems still lurking, thanks for all the advice :)
  10. ok, quick question on that, should i only use NMM to install mods and use wryebash and boss for managing and launching?
  11. [Archive] sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa sResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Voices_PL.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra_PL.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesUpdate_PL.bsa What i found...will backup and alter with your whole string as i have the update and dlcs so if they're supposed to be listed i reckon they should be, will be back in 10 to say if it helps. btw i did make changes for ABT but didn't touch any of that so idk what happened. EDIT: I love you, no homo. total fix. thank you very much
  12. I'm an amateur at modding and can never seem to get a merged patch that i can feel sure is proper, now i have SkyRE installed with the reproccer and my understanding is it basically makes a merged patch of all boss recognized plugins. What i want to know is when gathering my plugins together to make a merged patch would i include the reproccer with everything below it , just do everything below it, or (it sounds crazy to me) pull everything into a merged patch? Also what is the current best program to use? I have tesvsnip and tesvedit (no wryebash as it scares me, only bad experiences with it) thanks for any help you can provide
  13. MShoap13 is steering you right, the easiest way, in my eyes at least, would be to compare how the water and surroundings look with VFO to screenshots from WATER. i'd install 2k, then VFO then water and go through one by one picking yes or no for overrides, that way no plant textures get changed and you choose what you get worse case scenario, you uninstall and reinstall one or both and replace them in your load order. I like to fiddle and will take some time if i want to change in game visuals, but i have time to tweak. just my opinion and suggestion
  14. I don't know drake, I've never experienced that, but then again I'm a beginner to modding and still get lost. Boss has never gave me a message that wasn't directly related to something i had, it does give me things about inactive mods on my list, and it doesn't look like that's the case. I've been trying to learn to mod about 8 months (I'm a hands on learner with no teacher or guide that works for me) but that includes morrowind, FO3, FO:NV, oblivion and skyrim. Boss only showed me pertinent problems.
  15. might seem a stupid question, did you check it on a new start? I don't know much but have had mods resistant to popping into a game in progress, had to wait for some time in game for the area or whatever to refresh so if it shows in a new game this might be the case. a good rule of thumb, always start a new save to check if it shows up to be sure if it's not working or just being problematic. hope it helps
