Alright, new development (a.k.a. I found the problem): I was using the original files from hydrogensaysHDT, but when I switched to the new hdt mod available on the nexus it works without issues again. I believe I had this installed the first time as well, but I uninstalled it which broke the physics. I'm not sure why the official files don't work, and would still like some feedback on what the problem was.

Alright, so I've been waiting for HDT physics to be updated for 1.5.97 for a while now (I haven't used it before now, and I was too lazy to revert my game to an earlier update), and when I installed the new version it worked perfectly for a while - I wanted it for clothing physics, not body physics, and the outfit/armor mods I installed to try it out all worked without issues. It didn't last long, however, and after changing some mods and redeploying (I think I tried installing HDT High Heels for an armor mod), HDT broke and now it acts as if the wrong version of skse/hdt is installed, with clothes stretching into the ground (see pictures). I'm really not sure what's going wrong, I tried creating a fresh install with only a few essential mods and I'm experiencing the same problem, so I'll include my load order and ask if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong or what should be changed.
