  1. Yep, I also agree it was probably the Nvidia settings. Hopefully this helps others in future.
  2. Solved finaly after lots of troubleshooting. I will try and briefly list the steps for future reference: - Disabling all mods - Turning game settting down (off if possible) - Launching without F4SE - Verifying Integrity of Game Cache (Steam) - Creating New Game - Uninstalling the game, deleting ALL files left behind - Re-installing the game - Updating video driver (if possible) - Downgrading video driver - Installing Windows Updates - Checking other games run fine (To check your GPU is not dying) - Checking Direct X was updated - Performing a SFC and DISM scan MY GAME WAS FIXED AFTER THE FOLLOWING STEPS - Un-installing Fallout 4 *again* - CCleaner Registry Cleaner - Deleting all de-activated mods in Nexus Mod Manager (I disabled them all before but just to be 100% sure) - Selecting "High Performance" in the Control Panel, Power Options - Changing application profile settings in Nvidia Control Panel (Nvidia Control Panel, 3D Settings, Manage 3D Settings, Program Settings, Select "Fallout 4 (fallout4.exe.)", set "Power management mode" to "Prefer maximum performance", set "Texture filtering - Quality" to "High Quality", Apply - Installing a new Windows Update - Re-installing Fallout 4
  3. Okay, here's what I've tested now. 1. I launched Fallout 4 one more time quickly to check it was still glitched, it was. 2. I then played Metro 2033, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, World of Warcraft and Heroes and Generals. All for around 15 minutes or more. NONE of the games showed ANY signs of anything going wrong. 3. I then re-installed my Nvidia driver using GeForce Experience (Driver version: 385.41). 4. Launched Fallout 4, it was still having problems. 5. Downloaded and installed the previous driver version (Driver version: 385.28). 6. Restarted my computer. 7. Launched Fallout 4 and started a New Game, it was still having problems. (Video included of the New Game) I'm really lost at this point... I don't think it's a hardware problem, from the examples of the NPCs teleporting it really looks like an in-game engine problem. YouTube video of the New Game (Shows the problem really well): https://youtu.be/Sh8qWeyN0wk
  4. Yes, I deleted them before re-installing the game on Steam.
  5. Update: I un-installed the game. Delete all files left behind. Re-installed the game through Steam. I turn EVERYTHING down to the minimum (or off when available) but the problem still remains. I am using NO MODS and started a NEW GAME after re-installing the game to be 100% sure it was a fair test. I validated the game cache integrity and it found 0 problems. 6. Hi, I will try and keep this short but informative. I installed Fallout 4, modded it up carefully checking for crashes (outside only). Running fine until I got to Diamond City. Went into Valentine's office and the NPCs were popping into walls and into the floor above. It looked like when you try to put an item inside another item and the game doesn't like it. I really need help with this, It's making my game unplayable, I can't talk to NPCs inside buildings because they ping around everywhere and the dialog boxes only work when I guess where they might be. Combat inside buildings is also broken, NPC will take cover on things and they will look like sonic leaning in and out of cover. I've tried: Disabling all interior mods as well as texture mods and ENBs (e.g. Merciless ENB, Dynamic Interior Fog Removal, Enhanced Lights and FX, Vivid Fallout)Turning Shadows from Medium to LowLaunching without F4SEVerifying Integrity of Game Cache (Steam)Exiting and entering buildings after all these changeshttps://youtu.be/jmQkY6nkN74 LOAD ORDER (I use LOOT after I install and uninstall ANY single mod): 0 0 Fallout4.esm 1 1 DLCRobot.esm 2 2 DLCworkshop01.esm 3 3 DLCCoast.esm 4 4 DLCworkshop02.esm 5 5 DLCworkshop03.esm 6 6 DLCNukaWorld.esm 7 7 Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.esp 8 8 Arbitration - Resources.esm 9 9 ArmorKeywords.esm 10 a ConcealedArmor.esm 11 b Arbitration - Button Lowered Weapons.esp 12 c UniquePipboy.esp 13 d SatelliteWorldMap.esp 14 e CommonwealthConifersREDUX.esp 15 f TrueGrass.esp 16 10 dD-Enhanced Blood Basic.esp 17 11 ValdacilsItemSorting-00-ValsPicks-DLCVersion.esp 18 12 Armorsmith Extended.esp 19 13 Armorsmith All DLCs Patch.esp 20 14 ConcealedArmor.esp 21 15 GlovesOfTheCommonwealth.esp 22 16 Gloves of the Commonwealth - ASE.esp 23 17 BasementLiving.esp 24 18 Campsite.esp 25 19 Campsite-AWKCR.esp 26 1a Campsite-Full-Sleep.esp 27 1b Reverb and Ambiance Overhaul.esp 28 1c The Rebel.esp 29 1d ShellRain.esp 30 1e ModularKalash.esp 31 1f Colt1911.esp 32 20 SilentProtagonist.esp 33 21 WindowBoards.esp 34 22 No Scope Fade In.esp 35 23 DD_Perk_Reset_WIZURD_HAIRRYY.esp 36 24 LoveToCraftLegendary_Base_NukaWorld.esp 37 25 Weapon Rebalance.esp 38 26 LoveToCraftLegendary_Base.esp 39 27 LoveToCraftLegendary_Base_Automatron.esp 40 28 LoveToCraftLegendary_Base_FarHarbor.esp 41 29 Crafting Workbench.esp 42 2a Crafting Workbenches - Ammo.esp 43 2b Crafting Workbenches - Ammo Special.esp 44 2c Crafting Workbenches - Automatron DLC.esp 45 2d Arbitration - Better Combat AI.esp 46 2e Arbitration - Reduced Grenade Spam.esp 47 2f Arbitration - Farther Grenade Detection.esp 48 30 Arbitration - Stealth Overhaul.esp 49 31 Arbitration - Fall Damage Overhaul.esp 50 32 Arbitration - Molotov.esp 51 33 Arbitration - Automatron AI.esp 52 34 Perk Rebalance Normal.esp 53 35 Live Dismemberment - Regular.esp 54 36 3xEnemyDamage.esp 55 37 3xPlayerDamage.esp 56 38 AnS Wearable Backpacks and Pouches.esp 57 39 Craft_Ammo_HandmadeRoundDolby1021.esp 58 3a StartMeUp.esp
  7. Hey, I've just deleted ALL my Fallout 4 mods to start fresh. My system is quite a beast but I know how Fallout 4 can get when you pile mods on (I just want to make sure I'm at 60 FPS as much as possible) I was just wondering, should I install 'Texture Optimization Project' and THEN install such mods as Vivid Fallout? Also is there any cleaning to do like in Skyrim with the TESEDIT things. If people have any other recommendations for mods/tweaks/patches etc. that are basicaly a must for Fallout 4 (Like a fresh install) then post them in your reply please! TL;DR Install texture optimization mod and then HD texture mod to save even 1 fps? Post other recommended mods/tweaks/patches Thanks all.
  8. Purge Cell Buffers (PCB) & get indoors when you see that, it does the same thing without a reload. Aaaahhh very cool, ty!
  9. I did buy it in the sale about a week ago. Moved 99% of my mods to SE and never looked back. I've not had any major issues. Today I saw weird low resolution textures in Whiterun. but I just reloaded the game and it was fine. Not had a single CTD or FPS issue since playing and I have at the moment 20 hours played. I've noticed using MSI afterburner that it uses more of my GPU and CPU (Including multiple cores). I tested this in Oldrim and it would only use about 25% of both my GPU and CPU (As well as only 2 cores mainly and tiny bits of the other cores). I'm not a benchmark expert by ANY means so this is just from the numbers I see. Anyway I will have to do a will comparison once ENBs are available for SE (I was using Tetrachromatic ENB before)
  10. Yes that's what I was thinking to be fair. It is -25% off on Steam for the holidays (£22.49 instead of £29.99) until the 2nd of January. How is the lag and CTDs, are they just as often? Also did you notice any improvement in FPS? for vanilla yeah it is a bit better but i have never had vanilla Skyrim crash on me for oldrim and SE so eh. the main reason to wait is for mods. I'm not sure if this is the proper way to reply (To quote people) but I want to thank you. Thanks for the replies and advice. By your post count and content you seem like a very helpful and active member of the forums and it's nice to see people like you around. I decided to go ahead and buy it while it's on sale. Install my mods, see if it's better. If it is then I'll be a happy bunny. If not I'll wait for patches. I'll post my results in FPS and CTDs here if it's okay within the next day or too in case anyone else is wondering this question. The only things I could find on Google were from big game magazines only talking about the base game and nothing to do with modding which I'm sure 99% of the people wanting to transfer to SE are. Anyway I'm rambling. Thanks!

  12. Ty for the recommendations, I was looking for a grass mod to go with SFO after I get SkyRealism - Grass
  13. Hello all! I've been playing Oldrim a lot the last month after taking a big break and I was amazed at how good the mods can make the old game look. I have a pretty good PC (i7-6700k, GTX 1080 8GB VRAM, 16GB RAM. Not bragging because it's relevant) but I still get some lag spikes in towns etc. Even after trying to tweak my .ini for quad core (Which didn't make a difference at all it seems by MSI Afterburner). Anyway to the point. I've heard that the new x64 engine helps to reduce the FPS lag that Oldrim has. So I was wondering if it's worth it for me to move over to Skyrim SE. 99% of the mods I use at the moment are already on SE and my save game is pretty new and not heavily modded. TL;DR Even with a good system still getting lag.Is it worth buying SE?Is SE better than Oldrim (Less CTD and lag)? Thank you
