I tried that. The prid returns an error message about the code invalid. Makes me wonder if lydia was not generated by the quest. Until the quest finishes i never actually see her anywhere.

Which companion do you have acompany you and why?
khbazur replied to Dan3345's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I have Lydia for my companion. I'm a sword and spell Heavy armor MageKnight. To use Lydia effectively you have to do the dismiss/disable/enable/follow me sequence to make her level with you. There is a bug where her starting level and current level values are reversed so she'll always be at the level when you first meet her. To effectively equip her you have to do the removeallitems command then give her the items you want her to use. To keep her at range and using a bow simply don't give her a hand weapon. Just remember to stock her with lots of your preferred arrows. She can go through 150 arrows very quickly. (ancient nord arrows are useful throwaway arrows for this. You'll never run out of them.) Still I miss the fallout companion wheel. and being able to set companion aggresiveness. Hopefully the CK will fix all that. -
the ref id i get is 000a2c94 but when i use it I get an error.

Yes, checked the house and the entire castle and the entire town, no Lydia.
-
After completing the quest in whiterun and the king awards Lydia as housecarl, she never appears. Looking everywhere within the castle shows no sign of her and her ref id is invalid. Was playing a female Breton witch. Is my savegame bugged? Loading a different game with a different character that had lydia active then loading my witch save game results in a crash to desktop. Anyone else have this problem?

I noticed that there is a wide difference in dragon behavior. There are those rare smart dragons that use all thier advantages in combat, and there are also those really dumb overly cocky roar I'am a dragon! ph3ar me!! types whose only attack strategy is land, breath attack, bite/tailswipe until dead (which I love, paralyzer sword, ice spike, stagger shout + power attack FTW) Frankly the only ones that I've so far feared are the elder dragons. They are smart enough to stop fighting and just hover out at range eyeing you while they heal up. With the occasional strafing attack to keep your magick down. I swear they recover HP faster than my magick recovers. And they love eatimg my horsies. :(

Do you think horses are compleetly useless in skyrim?
khbazur replied to sixcross's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I find horses incredibly useful in Skyrim. First of all it's faster than me on foot. Second it can also sprint using the sprint key using your endurance as a meter so it's still faster. Third it will still trot along at a normal running pace even when I'm so heavily overburdened by grabbing everthing that's not nailed down in the dungeon/tower/castle/whatever. I once carried over 5000 weight of stuff when I moved from Breezehome to Hjarim Fourth It acts as a third or fourth attacker with my hound alongside my follower Lydia whenever we have a wilderness encounter and it's smart enough to run away when it's too badly hurt, unlike say Lydia  So yes a Horse is incredibly useful. PS: My modus operandi is to kill everything in a dungeon then loot it to bedrock if possible then sell to the merchants in town. I have a backlog of items to sell due to merchants not having enough cash but It'll get sold sooner or later. -
Can I use all containers in my Breezehome without worrying?
khbazur replied to PolyOlefin's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
the are 2 weapon plaques in Breezehome. One is just above the door, turn around and look up when you get in. The other is on the wall to the right at the top of the stairs. There is also a shield plaque at the head of your bed that you can use to display a shield and 2 weapons. To place a weapon on the weapon rack equip a weapon on your RIGHT hand and then activate the rack. Note that sometimes it will get the wrom weapon if you have more than one of the same type in your inventory. I use the sack at the bottom of the shelves beside the weapon rack to temporarily place all my weapons in so that the only weapon I have is the one I want to place on the rack. You use the same mechanism to place items on the plaques. -
You can simulate something like that by placing all your loot in a container (or body) near the entrance to the dungeon then picking them up as you exit. You'll be walking slowly to your horse but once you mount the horse has no problems carrying you and all your loot. I did this when I moved houses from Breezehome in Whiterun to Hjerim in Windhelm. Was loaded down to 5000+ weight. Ol Queenie galloped just fine.

The 8 slot system is still there. If you'll check the pic there are numbers to the left of the items. To allocate items the the quickslots, open the quickmenu then while the item you want to slot is lit up press any one of the number keys on top of the keyboard ( 1-8 ) to assign them to those keys. press them in game to ready the item/spell You'll have to favorite the item/spell/shout/power to add them to a quickslot though

Lydia can and will use enchanted weapons and enchanted armors. Yes the weapons will drain with every use so you will have to top up the enchantments with soul stones every so often. (This is a great way to level up enchanting. Use petty stones to level up fastest) However Lydia suffers from a bug that prevents her from leveling with you. Her level will be stuck at whatever level you were when you first entered Whiterun. To fix first you have to dismiss her. Then before she walks away press ~ to bring up the console (I'm assuming you're on a pc) and click on her to bring up her id. Then enter disable. Then enter enable. press ~ to exit the console and Lydia will have leveled to match you. Talk to her to get her to follow you again. You'll have to do this everytime you level up.

LE Meter To See Bow Drawing/ Charged Spell Maximum
khbazur replied to tiggywinkler's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Same with spells. Just listen to them and if you look at your hand you will see that the hand is in a clenched pose ready to unleash the magick. But mainly it's an audible cue for spells. Try lowering music and raising effects. I keep voice at full and effects at 75% while music is at 25%. The last audio setting which I can't remember is at 50% -
You want good AI? I got a story for you. Just left Whiterun headed east past the Honey farm when a blood dragon attacked me. (was level 30 then) Dismounted and started hitting the beast with spells while it kept flying and doing strafing runs with it's breath weapons. The guards nearby joined in when it flew off and attacked and carried off a poor horse, didn't know it was my horse at the time :yucky::( Then it came back and hit the bandit camp on the other side of the river all the while staying out of my magic range. When I chased after it as I saw it land several times instead of staying aloft it went back across the river again and killed off the guards there. So I chased after it again. This time it flew off to a nearby farm, landed and killed off the npcs there. I recieved a quest message of "the last of the witnesses is dead" or something like that so yes dragons can kill off quest npcs. By the time I got there the dragon flew off keeping buildings between me and it so I cant magick or shout it to death and LANDED on top of Lydia and a quick breath, tail swipe and bite and toss and she was dead. Now I'm all alone, no guards, no follower, no horse, and the dragon goes back to it's fly around and breathe on me routine instead of landing. I reloaded my autosave and hung around the city to get more guards to shoot arrows at it. Didn't work as it decided to leave instead. Oh well. I was a level 30 heavy armor wearing with paralyzing sword and lightning bolt destruction magick

The horse can walk and run as default. To make the horse gallop press the sprint key. How about each carriage ride is on an enclosed carriage like a stagecoach or prairie wagon (something that can keep the elements outside) and that there will be other npcs that take the same coach with you to your destination. Say max capacity is 8 people with 6 normal so that you get anywhere from 2 to 6 npcs going your way. Attack by an Apache Fiend Bandit raiding party optional. May or may not include John Wayne as special guest star. Or have a random one off quest where the carriage is full comprising of a family (Father, Mother, Teen Son, little girl) a Nord Imperial on leave, a Stormcloak agent as well as you and your companion. The driver gets a Mercenary bodyguard for this trip. It gets attacked by a dragon and you have the choice to lead the Driver, wife and children to safety of a nearby cave as the menfolk try to keep the dragon at bay, or head for the battle and lead the attack on the dragon while the others head for the safety of the cave. like the option you get in the opening tutorial. Hmm must think on this. would be a great quest mod.

So what are your CMF's and CMOA's so far?
khbazur replied to huntsman2310's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Taking on a Dragon in Riverwood (the first village you went to) with a lightning bolt spell on my left hand, a Skyforge Steel blade with fire element on my right hand and standing my ground on the street between the forge and general store. The dragon swooped around, occasionally landing on rooftops to breath ice onto me while I retaliated with lightning bolts, and Fire shouts while the town guards and my companion Lydia fired arrows. Hurt the beast enough to force it to drop from the sky at the lumber mill yard beside the gate you first entered, ran to it and went blade to teeth against it. Did a final critical blow that saw me stab up it's jaw, grab sword and flip onto the dragon's head and dispatch it by stabbing my sword to the top of the skull into the brain. Rode the head to the ground as the dragon died. I dropped down beside it after it stopped moving while the entire village ran up to me and commented on my awesome kill. I mean they really said quote "Wow! I've never seen anything like that!" unquote. Made my day. PS, no one died except the dragon. Not even the chickens in town. My big fat horse though ran out of the town to the stone bridge that crossed the river. Almost thought that the dragon ate it or something.
