  1. Yes, I tried the "addspell" "removespell" method. It has no effect, no matter how many times I use it. None of the spell effects from your post seem to work. =/
  2. Nobody has any suggestions? Surely I can't be the only one plagued by this...
  3. This is a well known bug, with a well known fix. Unfortunately, this fix doesn't appear to work for me. I have faithfully followed the directions; "- In third person, open the console and enter "player.addspell 000f71d" - Close the console and notice a slight darkening around your character - Open the console again and enter "player.removespell 000f71d1" - Close the console and your eyes should stop glowing." But, they have no effect after completing them. I have had this bug before, and this worked that time. Now I have it again. I have exhausted Googles information on this bug, and there don't appear to be any other fixes, nor other people complaining that the fix doesn't work. Could this have something to do with the latest update? If anyone has an idea on how I can get rid of those ugly glowing eyes, I would really appreciate it!
  4. Can't seem to find anyone else with this issue. Creation Kit is constantly freezing while working in a worldspace. Specifically, everytime I move the camera Creation Kit will re-load the cell window objects, which causes everytime to freeze for seconds at a time. I am not panning the camera around drastically, this always happens with just minute movements of it. It is really annoying, and makes it a pain in the neck to do exterior editing. I have also been experiencing another lesser issue. This one affects all the animated fire, water, or mist effects. They appear distorted, or blocky, and it is hard to recognize what they would look like in-game, and how I should position them. It's not a huge issue, but definitely an annoying one. Does anybody have any possible fixes, or ideas about these bugs? I would really appreciate some input!
  5. This looks like it will work. Thanks very much for the help! I am really surprised Bethesda didn't add an option for this. Thanks again. :]] Tubal, I did check the GECK Wiki, which was a waste of time mostly, since looking up how to dismember corpses, gives me nothing even close to what I was looking for. Sorry if my question annoyed you.
  6. I would think that since it is so simple in-game to dismember corpses, there would have course be an option in the NPC options to remove the head, leg, or arm of an NPC and be able to move it around in GECK. So far I have seen no such option, and from all the searching I have done on a few forums, and Google, nobody has even inquired if such an option was available. I am beginning to think it isn't possible, which is really a shame, becuase it'd really help decorate in a mod I am making. So my question is this... Is there any option to dismember NPC corpses in GECK? Or maybe make the corpse into a "bloody mess" like the perk ingame allows you too? If anyone can give me some input, or even an answer, I'd really appreciate it. :]
  7. Thanks for the replies everyone. Glad to know for sure about this, I had a good inkling that doing any of this sort of this was no good, but very good to clear it up. Thanks again for the replies, I really appreciate it.
  8. Hello, I pretty much know the answer to this, but I am asking this question humor my friend, and to verify it myself. The gist of the question is this.... Would taking the mountian cat, or cougar animal model/animations from Oblivion and transfering them to make a cat in my Fallout mod be considered copyright. I am planning to release the mod. I figured it would be becuase I assume that Bethesda has the model/animations under some sort of protection, and it would not be smart to release them (for free) in my own mod, this giving people who downloaded it a free pass at the models without even buying Oblivion. Just a question, I really do not need the cat for my mod, my friend just wanted to have one put in it. If this is in fact copyright, is there any mod with cat-type creatures for Fallout I could possibly use then? Thanks for any input everyone.
  9. Thanks a whole lot for all of you're help, and everybody else! This object just does not seem to want to work, or correctly UV, and unfortunately for now I am going to have to give it up again. I am just going to continue on with other parts of the mod, till I properly have enough time to crack down on this. Someday I WILL finish it! : PPP ;] BIG THANKS AGAIN to everyone, I really do appreciate the advice, and help, it will help me greatly with some of the other smaller and more simple objects I will have to make! :thanks:  :thanks:   Thanks! :]
  10. Hey, thanks a bunch for the great reply! I tried out the hotkeys you mentioned... About the "P" key and the submeshes. Do you mean that by making part of the mesh a submesh (as in those outer leg supports or columns) that it would give me the option in NifSkope t apply a whole different texture to just those supports? I've wanted to do that, but didn't know where to start. I did try using the "P" key to seperate them, but all I got was just a frozen Blender, and had to Ctrl-Alt-Delete to close it. I will have to fiddle around with it more, becuase I am sure I did it wrong. That Ctrl+L thing is very strange, and mostly likely useful. Only issue I (of course) had with it was when I tried to use it to select on one of the supports, it went crazy as began selecting parts of the base, and the turntable. I tried adjusting my view to see if that would contain it better, but it seems to be very difficult to control. Again, I will have to fiddle around with it, it seems like it could save ALOT of time though. For the Alt+Right click... I wasn't able to get any result from that. Just either dragged out the vertice, or did nothing. =/ Sorry if talking to me is like talking to a brick wall, I just seem to be having the worst time with Blender (I tremble to think about what I am going to do once I get it into Nifskope, and have to mess around with that!) but, If I could ask you to maybe elaborate on some of the points the, becuase I just seem to be missing a step in all of this advice... (If I do not reply past this, I will be gone for a few days, but please, continue to gve advice, I would deeply appreciate it!) :thanks:
  11. Hi, So far I've been doing well with the Un-wrap from view method. Only really hitting issues on the cylinder shaped parts (which the Cylinder from view does nothing!) which seems to like to un-wrap in a strange way. I don't think I will ever understand how most of the great modders (or just 3D modelers) ever do this so easily. About the Polygons, when I began on this, I really wasn't totally aware on how I should be taking in the amount of polygons into consideration. Unfortunately, I cannot change it much as far as I am aware. Thanks for your input!
  12. Yeah, I think that you're help has gotten me there, just need to get it all laid out. From what you said about the "sphere/cylinder/or box methods, there are acutally options like that, but they always gave a awkwardly shaped UV with a FLAT surface... You're mentioning of them gave me the idea that they would probaly ONLY work on a object shaped like a sphere, or cylinder! Simple, yet I missed it. If that works, then I will pop into a bubble of pixies and dance. I will post back if it does. THANKS again!
  13. Actually I just used the option "Project from view" which I never bothered using becuase while giving me a relatively un-jumbled UV, it gave me one that was almost, err, 2D/3D view from above. BUT... Using this with only one flat surface (the top of the turntable, not the sides or the bottom of it) gives me a perfect circle of it. Now, that I think by selecting only the flat edges of the phonograph (thinking of doing this to the tone arm, and such makes me cringe) I SHOULD be able to get good UV maps. Sadly enough though... Now that I have one that looks like a normal UV, I really don't know what else to do. :S I've never got this far really... Hehe
  14. Ah... Yes, I understand now what you meant with the "hollow" comment. Most of the object is unfortuntely not connected in some places, just made to look connected... That is mostly only on the Tone arm, and the Reproducer. Near the end of its "completetion" I learned how to merge vertices together, so SOME of it is connected. I really didn't think it mattered except for looks maybe. One of the photos I linked above in my edit does have a wireframe view of the object, don't know if thats a very good view though. If you need any other pictures just ask. Thanks again, this is a great help!
  15. Hi! Thanks for the reply. Really, anything anyone can give is useful, and you're reply definitely is. Actually, something I forgot to mention (Argh!) is the IN NifSkope, If I click one of the information trees on the Block list, and delete it, it does remove something, yet the phonograph will still be there, thus telling me that somehow my object is made up of a bunch of copies of itself! No idea how that came to be.... Also the object is "hollow". I guess you meant that being as looking inside of it, you'll just see through it, instead of seeing another surface. About the Hand-unwrapping you mentioned... How would I do that? I've tried selecting pieces of it (say a side of the cabinet) yet clicking "Un-Wrap" still gives me a mass of vertices in the UV mapping window. Last but now least... When you say "...export it as a jpg or something", do you mean you export the UV map itself? Or, just the texture you make over the UV map like in a tutorial I read...? This sounds like it may be the only step for me to take if I am to get this to work. Could you elaborate on how I would also go on to apply the .JPG to my model before export? Sorry for all the annoying questions, I'd just like to really get this phonograph done. Thanks again for the information! :thanks: EDIT: Well I selected the phonograph's turntable, and it firstly did not yield any results upon my attempt to un-wrap. Then afte re-selecting it, something that annoys me happens... Without even clickiing un-wrap, or anything but selecting my object, a PERFECT projection of what I want my UV to look like will appear on the UV map menu. Now... Apperantly (whatever it is) ths dream-like UV is not real, and vanishes as soon as I de-select the object. Dreams aside... The second time I tried to un-wrap, it "worked" but only with the same jumbled-Pable-Picasso results I get from just selecting the entire thing. :yucky: Here are pictures.... Here is what I get when Pablo Picasso assists in Un-wrapping the UV for the turntable: http://s260.photobucket.com/albums/ii33/An...20-59-39-93.jpg (Just for reference) Here is the ghostly dream UV Map.... http://s260.photobucket.com/albums/ii33/An...21-14-38-03.jpg
