Working Sinks in Fallout 4?
VonHelton replied to VonHelton's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Excellent! One last question..........A big one. Can I do this for one sink, then make others from it, or do I have to do this procedure over & over every time I want to make a sink in another color? For example, I make a sink in White Marble. I apply this procedure. Can I then duplicate & make a new sink in Black Marble? Or do I have to make a black marble sink & then apply this procedure again? -
Working Sinks in Fallout 4?
VonHelton replied to VonHelton's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
I'll give it a try. I'm trying to get a streetlight banner to work in much the same way. The banner works in 3ds Max, but not in the game, and I think your little script trick is what I'm looking for. -
Working Sinks in Fallout 4?
VonHelton replied to VonHelton's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
In beginner plz?? LOL. -
Ok, I made custom sinks. They will make noise & heal me when I'm low on health. But for the life of me, I can't get the water to come out of the faucet. (The animated water pouring into the sink). The parts are there in the nif, but no water pours out. Any help would be appreciated.

Vortex wanted me to update my Walls & Floors mod. When I said no, Vortex deleted my ESP & reverted my nifs & DDS files to old versions. .......Might want to fix that in the next update, guys.......LOL.

I found a weird line in my CreationKitPrefs.ini: [PreviewMovement] bUseGamepad=1 No idea how it happened as I don`t own any gamepads and did not even open this ini. I set it to zero, restarted the Kit and it fixed the problem.

Making a Custom Companion
VonHelton replied to WarriorFTW's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
This is NOTHING like Heather Casdin.....lol. Heather has custom skins, custome NIF mesh (in folder data\meshes\llama) & even a custom voice! Sed's stuff is VERY basic. What we need is info on how to do the above things, not a basic companion that literally anyone can do.    -
I want to change the skin of my NPC?
VonHelton replied to VonHelton's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
.........and before you ask, YES, I tried swapping the files in CK, but it didn't show in the game, so either I forgot a step, or it doesn't work....... -
There are alot of mods out there. Most change faces. I want to change the skin texture of my body. For example, I want to change "femalebody_d.dds" to "femalebody-veins.dds" but I can't seem to find a tutorial or video on that. Furthermore, I want to be able to do this for NPC's, which seems to be near-impossible to find for *ANY* reason...... I went to the trouble of packing my dds files in a BA2 file, only to find that CK doesn't read those files.......DOH!! All I have been able to find thusfar is mods that create "nude" armor, which sets OVER your regular body. Obviously, that's NOT what I want......

Sorry for the late reply. I did a BING search & Google search & cannot find any off site crib mod. Plz tell me you have a link or a name for this mod??

How do I change the mod deploy order in Vortex?
VonHelton replied to JadianRadiator's topic in Vortex Support
Yeah, he told you that one used by Vortex to communicate with other mod management tools, not with the game. And your screenshot doesn't show the issue you are reporting, when the file was modified or where it is located. No, he said THIS: "b) The loadorder text file is indeed not used by the game, never has been" Sounds pretty cut & dry to me...... Let's look at that full comment shall we? "b) The loadorder text file is indeed not used by the game, never has been, that file is being used to synchronize load order between mod managers, the game only looks at plugins.txt" So, do you always edit to support your claims? FRESH INSTALL of Fallout 4: NO VORTEX or Mods I deleted loadorder & plugins files. The game EXE replaced them. My video will clearly show this. It will be posted to my gaming channel on Odysee. I've been modding ganes since the first Wolfenstein 3D. How long have you been modding games again? :geek: -
How do I change the mod deploy order in Vortex?
VonHelton replied to JadianRadiator's topic in Vortex Support
So your claim is that when you install something, Vortex lists it in the order you install it? Because that's NOT what it does for me. If I install "leaf.esp" and then install "rock.esp", rock will show up at the top of loadorder & plugins, not under leaf. -

LMAO! You literally lie to my face, then call me a troll? That's rich bro.......But hey, it's all good. I'll be making a video showing Vortex installing my mods in the wrong order in loadorder & plugins, the files YOU SAID were not being used. -

How do I change the mod deploy order in Vortex?
VonHelton replied to JadianRadiator's topic in Vortex Support
You have not provided any proof that Vortex *does* load stuff out of order. You refer to files in the wrong directory (quote: Go to "My Doicuments /My Games /Fallout 4" & see for yourself.) And you use a tool that clearly states it's in an early version to "prove" that the load order is wrong. Meaning: - We don't know if the order is actually wrong - If the order is wrong we don't know if it's the actual load order file containing the wrong order - If the order is wrong we don't know if it was Vortex that created it Ok, I referred to the wrong folder, so that makes my premise wrong also? "No true Scottsman" in full effect, I see. I've already caught you in a lie when you said these files were not used. If they aren't used, why does Vortex rewrite them? And if Vortex isn't installed, guess what? The EXE rewirites them! So I guess they ARE used, they ARE important, and you have NO INTENTION of fixing the problem. But that's ok, there's always MO2 to fall back on........    -
How do I change the mod deploy order in Vortex?
VonHelton replied to JadianRadiator's topic in Vortex Support
I'm willing to entertain that, but the 3,000 lb elephant in the room is why is Vortex loading stuff out of order to begin with? If I install "furniture.esp" in Vortex, and then "Paintings.esp", Paintings shows up FIRST in my plug-ins & load order files. Why does it do this? And, more importantly, how do I fix it? (If possible?)
