  1. In response to post #44847940. #44903545, #44908985 are all replies on the same post. It's all good, home slice. I didn't have any negative perception of you and I don't care if people criticize Nintendo (I haven't played their games since the N64). It was more a light journalist criticism for the interviewer. The ideal situation (and I stress IMO) is to ask questions that the interviewee would be able to provide a unique perspective on because of their hobby/occupation, i.e. grabbing Tom Hanks and then asking him what he thinks about Star Wars is NOT a good question nor a good use of anyone's time. Feedback is just feedback and I'll continue to read these Sunday Spots either way. Cheers! :)
  2. Just a tiny bit of criticism for the interview: The whole Nintendo tangent seemed a little heavy-handed, but I wasn't sure if it was the intent of the reviewer to go down that road or not. I like these Sunday Spots a lot because I like learning about the modders and what drives work in their little corner but I give zero shits for what they think is the correct way to run a F500 company who already make millions each year. Speaking generally, I get that we're all fans of games and have something to say about them, but I don't think the focus of these interviews should be to get a hobbyist's two cents on current events in the industry unless they have something in their background that would give them a unique perspective on it.

Oh, nivea, we both know that you're going to end up buying it. I'm not sure why you're making such a fuss about this anyways. I'm sure someone will also release an alternative start mod to salve your poor soul. Besides, I don't think developers necessarily limit our role-playing options by giving our character a backstory and emotional affiliations. For example, after having spent 30+ hours in the Witcher 3, I can honestly say that I'm more connected to him as my character than I ever was in Fallout or Skyrim. I don't attribute that to the voiced dialogue or hardcoded backstory, but to the availability of well-written options as well as a story that many of us can relate to. There were times when I was nice and there were times when I decided that I couldn't handle people's nonsense anymore. Despite my choices, Geralt always sounded like Geralt and never broke character. I'm okay with having a similar experience in Fallout 4. Honestly, the only people who might find the story completely irrelevant are homosexuals.
  7. In response to post #26169259. Yeah, zanity is a bit off his rocker...the truth, conspiracies, insider information, yadda yadda...just another guy with a tin foil hat.
  8. In response to post #25941964. ... What? Stop smoking grass, son.

What about CS: GO? Stanley Parable? Goat Simulator? G-Mod? The idea of paying for mods is certainly not new. Many, what were once mod authors, are now running respectable businesses because they had the opportunity to turn their talents into a business. In any case, it's rather silly for someone, who really contributes nothing else to the community except for the occasional endorse, to try and make a strong case for free mods. Really, this "community" hasn't been much more than a hypocritical angry mob where people who contribute no mods nor even technical support for mods try to talk about the ethics of the contributing members who might want to make an honest dollar.
  10. Some of the textures smacked somewhat of post-Apocalyptic Toy Story, but there were some smaller pieces like his flora retex that I was wanting to experiment with. Regardless, I applaude the moderators for keeping the site respectable and honest.
  11. Good grief, King of Worms, stop being a dumbass. Anyway, my guess for TESVI is that we will continue to see what happens between the Aldmeri Dominion and the Empire. Although the Empire is indeed in a weakened state, the conflict is far from over. They were forced to give up a lot to the Aldmeri Domion at the White-Gold Concordat: including regular payments, expelling Talos from its Pantheon, land in southern Hamerfell (the region remained independent, btw) there are books and dialogue in Skyrim that suggest that the Empire is gearing up to try and shake off the Aldmeri Domion. The Civil War in Skyrim was a major deterrent in this whole process, however, because the Empire needs to maintain its land holdings in order to have enough strength to fight off the Domion when war breaks out again. There are reports in Skyrim that show that the Domion is pleased by the Civil War as it weakens the already weakened Empire. For people who are arguing that the developers cannot build off of Skyrim's storyline because many of its major decisions are left in the hands of the player, I say "phooey." If you think that game developers simply won't choose an ending, or else write something that circumnavigates both endings then you probably haven't played too many video games. This a major story confilct and I doubt that Bethesda would pass a chance to resolve this confilct in a future game. On the other hand, I have sometimes been surprised at the major events that happen in between games without much attention (Ex: The Argonian invasion of Morrowind). But that's my best bet that TESVI will see a resoluiion of the conflict between the Empire and the Thalmor (cocky bastards).
