  1. Every time I equip a poison for my arrow, a 'yes/no' prompt appears. There used to be a mod that removed this prompt but I can't remember the name or find it. Anybody have a link to the original Nexus Skyrim mod that does this or even the original name?
  2. At certain locations, usually indoors but sometimes outdoors, the screen really tears up and makes it hard to see where you're at. This only happens with Skyrim SE - It's never happened with original Skyrim. I thought it was a mod problem at first but disabling them individually didn't make a difference. I've updated Nvidia drivers up to 375.95 but it has persisted. Graphics card is 980TI. Has anybody found a fix? Here's a sample pic but usually it's much worse when it happens.
  3. No, I had to give up on MCA because of all the mesh problems. I never actually had it running. I redid my setup using the guide from "Lif with Ink and Pixels" and stayed away from the MGSO Overhaul guide. Not a single error when doing the Distant Land Generator (I think I used a size of 16384), unlike the MGSO installation and I've seen the FPS run at a steady 80-120. The only problems occurred when I added some of my other essential mods. Right now, I can't figure out a missing mesh problem in Arkngthand. I've searched through the archives of every mod I installed with Mash and cannot find any clues to "meshes\m\misc_dwrv_ARK_cube00.nif tex not found" in war_dwrv_electricity00.bmp through *009.bmp. If I solve that, I might give MCA another go, as the Morrowind landscape is pretty sparse with people. I haven't used MASH yet for any levelled lists or merged plugins. I wanted to make sure everything worked before I did that. Later edit: I did find out why I was getting the missing mesh problem. Somehow the Morrowind installation or update process changed the letter 'a' in 'misc_dwrv_ark_cube00.nif' to 'misc_dwrv_Ark_cube00.nif'. I don't know why it was case-sensitive but it seemed to be. I used a BSA extractor program to find the correct nif in Morrowind.bsa, copied it to the right meshes folder and the error disappeared. I thought that the mesh was actually not in my Morrowind directory because Win 10 said it wasn't there when I searched but maybe I made a typo. So I tried to use MCA again but mlox gave it a no-go due to my other mods. And when I made mlox happy, a Morrowind load threw a mess of missing scripts and mesh errors. So it's gone from my mod list.
  4. What did you do to solve the problem with the "Item "_MCA_COV_noble_boots" not found" problem? I have the same issue when trying to add "Morrowind Comes Alive" to my new game. That plus the mouse pointer disappears when the MCA script starts. Edit later: Finally gave up on MCA because of all the missing meshes but I did get the mouse pointer back by opening up the console.
  5. I had been trying to get Mod Organizer to work with the Steam version of Oblivion, but couldn't get it to run OBSE so I installed my GOTY DVD version and Mod Organizer seems to work OK for it except for TES4EDIT. It did work for a while but now when I try to run it from MO, it crashes with a TES4Edir 3.1.2 message box saying "An error occured while loading modules. Editing is disabled. Check the message log and correct the error." Checking the log shows this message: [00:00] Background Loader: Fatal: <EStreamError: Cannot open C:\Oblivion\Data\Oblivion - Meshes.bsa.The system cannot find the file specified> [00:02] Background Loader: finished There is absolutely nothing wrong with the referenced meshes file but I wiped out Oblivion and installed it again. I still get the message. Oblivion works OK when called from MO and OBSE Tester installed from MO reports the correct version (21). Tes4Edit does work OK when not run from MO so I can clean the dirty DLCs that way but I might run into problems with the other mods. Anybody else have any experience with this problem? I have modded Oblivion with Wrye Bash but I WOULD like to run it with MO. One other thing I noticed with MO was that I think it seemed to corrupt the Obse-loader.exe file in the Oblivion folder so I had to set it to read-only.
  6. Speaking of TES4Edit, I finally was able to get a game modded properly with OBSE and the non-Steam version of Oblivion, using Mod Organizer. TES4Edit and Loot worked perfectly and I was all the way down to the DMQL normal maps from the STEP installation when TES4EDIT running from Mod Organizer bombed out with an error saying it couldn't read Oblivion - Meshes.bsa. It works ok when I run it from the Oblivion folder. Anybody have any idea what went wrong? I even copied Oblivion - Meshes.bsa from my working Steam game and it still aborts. Now that I'm writing this post, I recall that I had used OBMM to install the Distant Terrain meshes just before it bombed. I wonder if OBMM screwed up my Oblivion installation?
  7. Yes, the bat file works ok. Oblivion restarts perfectly every time I rerun it. If only BASH understood Mod Organizer's VFS, it could actually use an ini file from the right profile. I'm trying to set up a modded game with Mod Organizer but I need Bash for a few things, like the batched patch.esp. Even when I run bash from mod organizer, it works on the prime Oblivion folder instead of the Mod Organizer folder. Maybe I'll try to set up a basic Oblivion setup with the few essential omods I want and then use Mod Organizer to handle the rest.
  8. The version of bash is actually 305 standalone. Cbash version is 0.6.0. If it's something the author is aware of, maybe it'll get fixed sometime. I have a copy of a modified ini that's in my Oblivion folder so every time I run Wrye Bash, I click on replaceini.bat to recover it. Only takes a second and much faster than a mod reinstallation. replaceini.bat DEL Oblivion.ini copy oblivion_stepped.ini Oblivion.ini
  9. I've reinstalled Oblivion and was loosely following Hishtup's STEP guide. Wrye Bash 0.6.0 is what I decided to use as my mod installer. It DOES install mods but it also damages oblivion.ini in some way that I still haven't figured out. When I click on oblivion.ini and edit it in Notepad, all the lines are contiguous, scrambled together, with no noticeable separate lines. Loading that same ini file into wordpad or notepad++ displays each separate line correctly, though if I try to run Oblivion from bash or the SKSE launcher, it CTD, because it considers the ini file is corrupt. Loading Oblivion_Default.ini into notepad displays correctly and when I make a copy and rename it to Oblivion.ini, it launches. So what is Wrye Bash doing to oblivion.ini and is there a fix? I tried to upload a zipped copy of both ini files but the forum wouldn't let me. I presume I'm not the only one having this problem the cbash version, so I was wondering if there is a version of Wrye Bash that doesn't do this. I'm using Windows 8.1, BTW, if that should be of any help with the problem.
