  1. [edit] Spoke too soon. The bug has returned...so ignore the stuff below Now THIS is interesting! Did you look at my screenshot? Is this exactly what you are getting? Considering you don't have an ATI card, this does throw all our theories about dodgy drivers out the window. What I've done over the weekend in a desperate attempt to get to the bottom of this issue was to completely re-install my game and this time not activate ANY graphics mods (except for FXAA Post-Process Injector) and after around 6 hours of gameplay I have not yet seen this bug return! So it could well be that it is caused by a mod, or a combination of mods. Oh, actually, I do have the Static Mesh Improvement mod installed as well as the Bethesda HD textures... So far so good... I may slowly (one at a time) re-introduce the various mods I've been using to see if I can identify when the problem re-occurs. Or I may not. Enjoying playing without this stubborn bug for now... I will however post an update after some more testing. One more thing: It would appear that this bug is triggered by either light sources (standing close to a fire for example) or bright surfaces such as snow. Sometimes, when triggered, it will simply not go away until you either fast travel to a different location, or reboot your machine. Restarting the game rarely removes the white rectangle once it's shown up.
  2. It's an Intel Q6600 2.4Ghz processor, but I can't remember now what mobo... Do you think this has anything to do with it?
  3. I will continue testing different versions of drivers...hopefully one of those older ones will sort out the problem. Will update my findings here for everyone's benefit. Thanks again for your help! [edit] This is hopeless, I have tried different versions of the drivers and nothing makes any difference. :wallbash:
  4. I've done as you suggested, but unfortunately the problem is still very much there. Yesterday I completely re-installed the game (including deleting my Data folder), but alas, no change... It is strange though that this is the only game I've ever had this problem with.
  5. Thanks for the advice, Osmanli I have done exactly as you suggested but frustratingly enough, the problem is back! The only reasonable explanation I can find to this is that my graphics card need replacing...
  6. OK, I uninstalled all the AMD drivers and software, rebooted and BAM! The problem is cured! Seems kind of glaringly obvious now (thanks for the dodgy drivers, AMD!) but the game seems to be doing absolutely fine now on the legacy drivers only! I might install the stable CC but not unless I really need to... Thanks for the advice!
  7. Thanks for the reply Osmanli! I have tried running the game on the very lowest settings with AA turned off, but this makes no difference. The problem is most prevalent when entering indoor areas... What I will do is uninstall CC (I'm using the beta) and then install the latest stable drivers. As far as other games are concerned, never had a problem like this.
  8. This is something I have been struggling with from the very start, but it went away for some time and now it's back! Restarting the game usually makes it go away. I have disabled all graphics mods and High Texture packages, but this has no effect. Even re-installed the game entirely but this has not helped either... I'm thinking maybe it's my graphics card? ATI Radeon HD6950 Any advice would be appreciated, thanks! https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B3KZmbEnxPVPNk8wSGgxbGc4cEk
