Is it possible to just enable the weapons condition part of the ammo tweaks mod?

I'm guessing this has been covered elsewhere, but I can't find anything that doesn't involve a load of oter stuff. Basically I want to add some more food items with recipes to cook them. I.e. Tato soup: needs 1x tato and 1x water. Restores x ammount of hunger and health with an AP refreash for 30 minutes. I'm guessing I need to add a new item and a recipe that points to the new item?
