  1. I did not even think of Resist Cold coming into effect here, that's definitely a good idea. Portable campsites are excellent as well, and you'd finally have a use for the all the firewood you can chop that does (almost) nothing. Maybe you have to keep the campfire fed for the length of time you'll be staying there...perfect for integration with the eventual food/sleep survival mods.
  2. What I personally would like is for the tomes to not be expended just by reading, like how Skill Books work. An up-and-coming mage could have a bookshelf full of the spells he/she's learned, once a proper shelf mod comes out. As far as spells go, I would definitely like an improvement to the Transmute spell, what if I want to make just Silver instead of Gold? I have to drop each piece because it takes two ore to make a bar.
  3. Skyrim is cold. Very, very cold. Sure, you've probably spent quite some time there, and you're definitely acclimated to the cold, but does that really prevent frostbite? Being a native of a rather chilly place this time of year, I propose a mod that I'll be using to get myself into more advanced scripting that uses the weather effects and other variables to apply negative effects to the player. Certain events will add to a cold variable for the player, and others will detract from it. Stat and skill penalties will follow. My brainstorm so far: Add to cold level: Wind speed Current Weather Swimming Staying still Overexerting yourself (sweating is about the same as swimming) Detract from cold level: Nearing a heat source Being active (but not too active) Entering a building A warming potion? (new item) Negative effects: Reduced speed Reduced health, stamina, and magicka Reduced strength In severe cases, damage over time Other ideas so far: Resist Cold mitigates your cold level Portable campsites of improving levels Eating warm foods reduces cold level (new food items as well, Hot Cocoa!) Any ideas/comments are welcome. I haven't made anything like this before (see my two entries on the FO3Nexus) but I'd like to get into it.
  4. What the hell, man. I live in a college town and our midnight releases aren't that cool...
  5. This is decidedly epic. And it really sucked today to have tons of people coming in for Modern Warfare 3 when my store isn't going to make a big deal out of Skyrim, especially everyone who acted like they were such hardcore gamers for playing a trigger-happy FPS. Fortunately I won't be working when Skyrim comes out, I'll be playing it.
  6. I'm not sure now...the system requirements on Wikipedia list that you need internet for steam activation...
  7. I opened the PC box 'cause that's the one I have, but we had tons of PS3 and 360 versions too. And yeah, it's not worth getting fired and/or sued or whatever the punishment is for breaking street date anyway. Haha, it comes out on the same day so somebody stuffed a few in the same street date box.
  8. I work at a major retailer in the electronics department. I have keys that access pretty much everything in the store. Including where we keep the games that aren't out on the floor. And I used my power to get a copy of Skyrim. It felt awesome. And then I had to put it back... Pics or it didn't happen? http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/6976/20111108131834420.jpghttp://img7.imageshack.us/img7/8849/20111108131844542.jpg No, I did not take one, no, I will not take one, no, you cannot have it until the 11th.
  9. D'oh, I linked the search for it. It should work now.
  10. Actually, since then I've found this addon that enables you to add any search to firefox automatically, even if the site doesn't have the supporting code in the page.
  11. Kid obviously has something like Downs, but hey, Savants usually do. And his dialogue is just awesome.
  12. Yes, I'm basically looking to replicate the basic search function. I know the advanced search is out of the question, but I hardly use that anyway. The problems I can forsee is that on the search.php page, the URL in no way describes the search just entered (for instance, if you do a search, login and get redirected back, you get a blank search form). Some sites include the search terms in the URL of the search form and so make it easier to create a plugin for Firefox.
  13. Google sketcup up is free, and the pro version is $495 US dollars (probably still out of your price range, but the free version should work).
  14. You can also open up the console (press ~) click on a body, and then type "disable" without the quotes.
  15. Just a quick search on the nexus, this is kinda similar to your picture. And as for the ranger armor, I once retextured this and it looked pretty good. I lost the retexture somewhere though... But combine it with a green cape or cloak and it should be pretty good. I also found this while searching for 'druid'.
