  1. i've got everything written by now and here is the result: The scholar asks the player what he knows about the dwemer. The player is given the options of saying "Dwemer?", "I know a little bit, but not much.", "Those people with the robots and the cities?", and "You could call me the professor of dwemiri studies." To which the scholar responds "They're known as deep elves and disappeared a long time ago, but not all of them. Meet me here so that I can tell you my theory.", "Great! Meet me here and we'll discuss this a bit further.", "Yes, those people that made the robots. Look, just meet me here so that we can discuss this.", and "That... That's spectacular! Fantastic! Meet me here so that we can discuss a theory of mine!" accordingly. The location is near Aftand and he tells you his theory that the lava field down near the core affected the dwemer in some way, cutting them off from the rest when they were evaporated by the Heart of Lorkhan. He leads you through Alftand and into Blackreach and the player find some old falmer books in a small house near the walls of the huge cave, then, the player talk with the scholar and he says:"by the nine! an old falmer tome, i wonder what it says...", the player reply:"i know someone who can read this falmer stuff", the scholar reply:"then lets get to this dude". the player and the the scholar go to winterhold to speak with mugrab-sha-whatever and he translate the falmer tome, the tome talks(we write what is inside later) about a old dwemer elevator, the falmer slaves weren't allowed to use that elevator, so only the dwemer knew what was under the elevator, the elevator(much larger than the common dwemer elevator) is inside the dwemer fotress in black reach(here we have a new dungeon, you see, the dwemer elevator is inside a whole complex under the fotress, however, there is no falmer there, since the place is secret, only ebony dwemer machine there(the ebony animunculi are much stronger than the common dwemer animunculi), and a ebony centurion in the actual elevator to the firelands, after the player defeat the centurion(the scholar is killed in the process?) he get the key to activate the elevator(part of the loot in the ebony centurion), the player activate the elevator and go down in the firelands And he is met with a dwemer farmer who heard the elevator rumbling and banging from down below. He walks up to you and says "Well, that's new." You are given the options of saying: "What do you mean?" "Were you expecting something else?" or "What is this place?" In response he will say: "Well, the elevator was making loud noises before, but not as loud as it was bringing you down here." "Not really. I was expecting the elevator to finally break down and collapse, but someone from above fixed it." "This is Mzunixand (mm-zoo-nik-send), the city of fire. Didn't you know that? How long has it been since the Numidium was activated?" From the last one you're given the options of: "That was three eras ago..." "I don't know, a long time maybe." "What?" And he responds with: "Three eras?! Dear Julian (which is short for Julianos), time passes by fast when you don't have a sun." "Wow, I guess some of the people from the surface really aren't that educated." "The Brass God from the Battle of Red Mountain in Resdayn. Where we fought the Nords and that old Jurgen fellow with the Chimer. People don't remember that? Oh, well then I guess it really has been a long time since then." And then they convene and end with him saying "But at least you came when you did, because some of the chaurus is giving the city trouble and maybe you could help out. I'm just a farmer that farms Harrada Root and Bloodgrass, I'm safe out here, but the city is being constantly attacked by waves of chaurus. You wouldn't mind helping them out, would you?" So the player goes and defeats enough chaurus so that the problem is miniscule and the senator dimi(we keep this name)appears and say(behind the wall of the city):"by julian, what are you?!" the player reply:"i'm the dragonborn, what are YOU?" dimi says:"dragonborn, that old profecy about the end of the world brought by dragons? anyway, we are the remains of the dwemer, and if weren't by your help this damned chaurus would wipe out us soon" the player reply:"can i enter?is warm out here" dimi say:"of course not, we don't allow random strangers into our city" now, the player has two options, make some favors until the dwemer allow him to enter the city OR try to enter ilegally, if he enter ilegally, dimi cast a paralyze spell and the player is sent to prision, in the prision he will meet some falmer, the falmer will speak with the player falmer:"hey there new face, why are you here?" player:"what the hell?! how are you talking with me, filthy creature! falmer:"wait! we are not like our corrupted brothers, we dont seek absolute destruction of everything!besides, we are just asking" player:"sorry, im not used to talking falmer, anyway, the dwemer sent me here for trying to enter the city" falmer:"tell you what, we are planing a breakout, you seems to be the type of guy who can deal with danger, are you with us?" player(option 1):"sure, i want to escape this sink hole the fast as i can!" player(option 2):"give me some time to think adn i tell you" falmer(reply to option 1):"yeah, just wait for me here until tomorrow and i give you the instructions" falmer(reply to option 2):"sure, but if you want, wait for me here until tomorrow and i tell what to do" now the player has two options: first, escape with the falmer(not sure waht will happens to get trust with the dwemer) OR tell to the dwemer guards about the breakout, if the player do that, he is immediatly allowed into the city(after the dwemer take care of the escaping falmer). BUT if you denounce the falmer you will not be able to start the secondary quest "falmer unchained"(more details after, but this quest permit you to help the falmer take control of the city and enslave the dwemer). this is one side of the options, if the player don't want to enter the city, he just have to ask to senator dimi after the dialogue player:"anything i can do to be allowed to enter the city?" dimi:"yes actually, some farmers are having trouble is their falmer slaves, it seems that they are fermenting a rebelion, if you go there and stop this situation, you are allowed into our city" well, here you have another option, instead of killing the falmer slaves, you talk with then and get your chance of starting the quest 'falmer unchained", and you just kill the dwemer falmers and lie to dimi. now the player just have to enter the dwemer city and continue and is met with either falmer or dwemer (whichever one you helped) bustling through the streets of the city. The player meets the many citizens and does various menial tasks such as getting frost salts for cooling their homes or getting some ebony to repair their dwarven spheres. Do this enough and Dimi will let you into the Senate to meet him personally, rather than on the far side of a wall. He will say "So, you have been doing many of my citizens a tremendous help with their various needs and wants. Since the people trust you a bit more than anyone else, then I will follow their example and let you into the University and other important buildings." The player is given the options of saying: "Thank you, sir." "Thank you, Senator." "It wasn't that much that I did..." And he will respond: "Sir? Please, call me Dimi. The University has been looking into the chaurus attacks and might want your help. Get to it." "The reason for this is because the University has been looking into the source of the chaurus attacks. See if they need your help." "Oh but it was. If you do want to help further, then go to the University and see if they need your help. Chances are they probably might." The player then goes to the University and is first met with the Dean and he says "Oh good, the Senator said you would be coming here eventually. My students have been needing a bit of help." The player responds with "What sort of help?" "Well, one is trying to make a telepathy spell, similar to our calling ability that isn't interfered by the magic flux down here, one is just shouting 'Eureka!' for a reason that I don't know, and one is, well, trying to harness the abilities of our Elder Scroll." responds the Dean "Telepath", "Ebony Dreams", and "Back to the Scrolls" are activated at this point. Telepath deals with the main questline and telepathy. Ebony Dreams deal with the oblivium alloy. Back to the Scrolls deals with possible time travel (Your call if you want to put this in or not) Once the player has helped the students and learned the telepathy spell then... ...the scholar was able to connect with somenthing for a few seconds using his telepatic abillity, but the connection was absurdely week and he wasn't able to get full information, but he was able to indetify were it hapenned, and here is the plot twist: the dwemer that he contacted wasn't in the firelands, he was in skyrim, in a certain dwemer ruin... Irmzindaz (erm-ZIN-daz)(a ruin that we'll put off the coast of Winterhold. Yes, it will be flooded in some places). Along with some ebony automatons, this ruin is filled with slaughterfish and armed with many traps and tricks set up by this dwemer that the scholar contacted. When you finally get to him he says to the player "Why were you trying to interrupt me? I was trying to have a good conversation with my good friend Yagrum." The player responds with "There's no one else here..." He will respond with "Are you an idiot? The dwemer have this ability called the Calling. It allows us to speak with other dwemer, even if they are bloody miles away. He just happens to be in Tel Fyr." "So then I'm not an idiot, I'm just ignorant." responds the player. "Oh, don't give me that talk about definitions and stuff. When I want to call someone an idiot, I will, and no one will stop me! Do I make myself clear?" The player is given the options of saying "Loud, especially loud, and clear" "Yes, sir." He will then respond with "Grr, I forgot how sarcastic you beings from above can be..." "Alrighty then, first things first..." He will then lead you around an occulory, saying "This thing is a [some unintelligible word], or what your kind calls it: an Occulory. This I just so happened to have built and programmed with my bare hands. Now, normally, we can project the night sky onto this wall over here, but what I've done is..." he presses a button and starlight is projected through an Elder Scroll, showing the inside of the scroll on the wall. "...I've sent light through the scroll without burning it, allowing us to read it without lexicons and Moth Priests. It took me years to put frost cooling enchantments on that thing." He faces the player in dialogue "Any questions?" "Frost cooling? What enchantment is that?" the player asks. "It's like fire resistance, mixed with a frost cloak on the inside of the enchanted thing, to put in layman's terms. Since I am one of the few who know this enchantment, you can come to me with anything that needs frost cooling and I will enchant it, for a fee of course." "Could this be used in lava diving?" "Lava diving? Why would you go diving into lava? Is the city of Mzunixand still inhabited?" "Yes, but the lava fields cause a magic flux, that's why no one from below has contacted you, save one." "And who was that?" "A scholar at the University, he was trying to develop a telepathy spell." "Ah, so that's who that was. I'll make sure that I visit the city sometime. Oh, and give that guy some words to ponder over while he's working on it: 'Do you hear the tones of Aetherius?'" (that's a hint that the scholar can test the duration and distance of his telepathy with an aetheruim tonal mechanism) The player then returns to the city and... now we keep writing... post scriptum: i still need to make some adjustments(those things we discussed in the other pages) and the story is back on the track! we shouldn't let this idea go to dust, everyone...
  2. irmzindaz shoudn't have ebony automatons, its only a common dwemer ruin, the ebony automatons were created to be resistant against the lava of the firelands.
  3. there is one issue here: if we release the falmer, the main quest brake, the dwemer are there because they know all the stuff, the falmer don't, so the falmer unchained quest must wait until the main quest is ready. after this litle issue is fixed, the other things:NO PLANES OF OBLIVION, we can't make a mod that makes your computer turn into a fireplace, but the new metal alloy(whaterver this word means), we keep that. other things to discuss: remember the special stahlrim pickaxe mentioned on the very beggining of the idea, don't? go check the older pages. do? great, so here it is: participation of the skaal. last thing:another scroll, were we can exaclty place a scroll in the quest, beside, a elder scroll is a REALLY big deal, we should keep him with the main quest. now to the quest "telepath" it can go on like that: the scholar was able to connect with somenthing for a few seconds using his telepatic abillity, but the connection was absurdely week and he wasn't able to get full information, but he was able to indetify were it hapenned, and here is the plot twist: the dwemer that he contacted wasn't in the firelands, he was in skyrim, in a certain dwemer ruin...
  4. ...and the senator dimi(we keep this name)appears and say(behind the wall of the city):"by julian, what are you?!" the player reply:"i'm the dragonborn, what are YOU?" dimi says:"dragonborn, that old profecy about the end of the world brought by dragons? anyway, we are the remains of the dwemer, and if weren't by your help this damned chaurus would wipe out us soon" the player reply:"can i enter?is warm out here" dimi say:"of course not, we don't allow random strangers into our city" now, the player has two options, make some favors until the dwemer allow him to enter the city OR try to enter ilegally, if he enter ilegally, dimi cast a paralyze spell and the player is sent to prision, in the prision he will meet some falmer, the falmer will speak with the player falmer:"hey there new face, why are you here?" player:"what the hell?! how are you talking with me, filthy creature! falmer:"wait! we are not like our corrupted brothers, we dont seek absolute destruction of everything!besides, we are just asking" player:"sorry, im not used to talking falmer, anyway, the dwemer sent me here for trying to enter the city" falmer:"tell you what, we are planing a breakout, you seems to be the type of guy who can deal with danger, are you with us?" player(option 1):"sure, i want to escape this sink hole the fast as i can!" player(option 2):"give me some time to think adn i tell you" falmer(reply to option 1):"yeah, just wait for me here until tomorrow and i give you the instructions" falmer(reply to option 2):"sure, but if you want, wait for me here until tomorrow and i tell what to do" now the player has two options: first, escape with the falmer(not sure waht will happens to get trust with the dwemer) OR tell to the dwemer guards about the breakout, if the player do that, he is immediatly allowed into the city(after the dwemer take care of the escaping falmer). 5. i will start to write our storyline and the dialogue options ...and the player find some old falmer books in a small house near the walls of the huge cave, then, the player talk with the scholar and he says:"by the nine! an old falmer tome, i wonder what it says...", the player reply:"i know someone who can read this falmer stuff", the scholar reply:"then lets get to this dude". the player and the the scholar go to winterhold to speak with mugrab-sha-whatever and he translate the falmer tome, the tome talks(we write what is inside later) about a old dwemer elevator, the falmer slaves weren't allowed to use that elevator, so only the dwemer knew what was under the elevator, the elevator(much larger than the common dwemer elevator) is inside the dwemer fotress in black reach(here we have a new dungeon, you see, the dwemer elevator is inside a whole complex under the fotress, however, there is no falmer there, since the place is secret, only ebony dwemer machine there(the ebony animunculi are much stronger than the common dwemer animunculi), and a ebony centurion in the actual elevator to the firelands, after the player defeat the centurion(the scholar is killed in the process?) he get the key to activate the elevator(part of the loot in the ebony centurion), the player activate the elevator and go down in the firelands...
  6. actually, lets decide all the names after the story is done, every name but senator dimi, i am starting to like him
  7. actually i was thinking about that and got somenthing in mind: this part of nirn(the firelands) are not like the rest of the nirn(YOU DON'T SAY!), all the dwemer tonal architecture are useless in that part of nirn, the magic there doens't change the minor spells and magic stuff, but the big ones, like the process used by the dwemer to dissapear, are useless in the firelands, so the dwemer trapped there didn't dissapeared like the others, because tthe magic energy has a different behavior in the firelands, this different behavior of the magic also eliminate the "calling" ability from the dwemer, the dwemer trapped in the firelands coulnd't use their telepatic system. but anyway, lets continue writing the storyline, and we just get everything together in a wall of text so the player meet the scholar(we dont have a name for him by now, so we just call him "lex luthor") named "lex luthor" and...
  8. well, thehandyman is right, this idea make the lore hate you for life! and with all the worlds created(the firelands plus the three god worlds) the amount of CPU power required would make a alienware aurora burn to a crisp! new metals are a useful idea and we can incorporate, but to make more lore-friandly, the firelands could have an effect in the magic of universe, like, "no hyper-complex magic tonar stuff beyond this point!" things we can use from 3eyestudio's idea: the alloy projects with new metals and s***; making favors to the town to gain their respect(senator dimi involved); participation of cacelmo and the college of winterhold; the telepatic fight with the chaurus queen; the talking centurion(MUST HAVE: a really disturbing voice, liike the black door); and other problem: a courier?! yeah, like, the dwemer are going to send a letter down there from the firelands and the courier will come to you and say:"hi, here is a letter from some weirdos that came from hell!"(with all respect, please dont get offended) why we dont stick with my storyline and mix up with 3eyestudio's? beside that, i've already started the art design, and it was freaking hard to draw all that stuff! sugestions?
  9. wouldn't the storyline get really short after that? because after going to the dwemer city, the player do some research and start to visit all the wearhouses mentioned to contain the corestone armor
  10. lets continue with the story, after speaking with the librarian(or falion) what the player can do? it would be nice to do a long storyline, and after speaking with the librarian(or falion) already going to the firelands would make the storyline really short ideas, anyone? we shouldn't let this project go to dust...
  11. so i got this idea, instead of creating a new NPC to introduce the quest(the librarian), we use falion(that mage in morthal, the one who take out your vampirism), sunce he says that he "met dwemer and daedra" it would save some work what do you think?
  12. actually this is already explained, the falmer lived som many time in the ruined underground, that became that beauty you see today Time itself did not corrupt the falmer, but some process that took place during this time did. The question is what. i think that this is already explained somewhere "Gelebor refers to the monstrous Falmer in contemporary Skyrim as "the Betrayed". He also claims that the toxin the Dwemer used to blind them is not responsible for the sorry state of contemporary Falmer, and hints that the rest of the transformation can be explained by thousands of years of evolution." http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Falmer
  13. actually this is already explained, the falmer lived som many time in the ruined underground, that became that beauty you see today
  14. perfect idea, now we have the falmer/chaurus hybrid
  15. so lets get back to the story, the player find a dwemer tome in any dwemer ruin and speak with the librarian(some guy trapped by the forsworn in the reach), lets concentrate on the librarian, what is his race and everything?
