In response to post #8465430. #8465564, #8465583, #8466047, #8466128, #8466371, #8466898, #8466919, #8467109, #8467154 are all replies on the same post. Uninstall your expired AV. In control panel make sure your windows firewall is enabled. If needed, depending on OS, install the free Microsoft Security Essentials. It's very thin, catches most everything, and doesn't spend a bunch of time on little reminder thingies that exist to show you it's running. Make sure your router is using NAT, if your PC's IP address doesn't start with 192.168.x.x then fix it. Get help if need be. Lastly, run a modern browser. Don't use IE if you can't run version 10 (windows xp, vista). I use chrome. It catches most questionable site content. Sorry to be bowing to the man so much on firewall, AV, and browser, but the solution is thin, mostly transparent, and frequently updated, and easy to find and install. Things important on an older rig.
