I honestly don't know. It could have been a bad install of the latest drivers or just the overuse of Express Installation with NVIDIA that caused an issue. Other than that, I'm completely oblivious. I would have figured corrupted drivers earlier if every or at least a few other game had issues as well... But it was only FO3 & NV having the crashing issues.

@dubiousintent @Purr4me I love you both right now. You both pointed me in the direction of the issue! I had tried rolling back my drivers already and that hadn't helped whatsoever... but I looked up the Exception code: 0xc0000005 and one of the causes can be corrupted graphic driver installations and it seems like my issue was EXACTLY that and doing the clean installation via the driver installer worked. Honestly have been going insane not being able to get these two games to work and you both helped me a ton in finding the issue and I would have never even thought of using Event Viewer for fixing this issue. THANKS A TON! LOVE YOU BOTH! :dance:

Odd.. I installed this GFWL you linked and still no luck. Even tried restarting my system afterward. I'm still getting the same error in Event Viewer. :/ Thanks for the suggestion though! :smile: Edit: Rolling back to an older NVIDIA driver and doing a clean install for the driver/geforce to ensure it's not a driver issue.

So you suggest getting a clean save with the d3d9.dll file fix just for now? I have a clean working vanilla save but even that has no luck as soon as the d3d9 file is a goner. I do not get ANY error messages, just to go load up an old or to create a new game and during that first load screen (about when I would normally load into the game) it just crashes with the "FalloutNV has stopped working" I am not having any issues from any other steam games I have tested (over 20) even with other DX9 games. Skyrim, Oblivion, and Fallout 4 all work. So this issue is only on Fallout 3 & New Vegas which I find very odd... When I check the Event Viewer, it does come up with the application error for New Vegas but I'm personally unsure of what this error means. I'm running Windows 10. I have all of my Steam games installed on my G Drive which is a 1TB SSD for just games. I implemented the Nvidia d3d9.dll from this page I believe (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34778/?) I have tried a vanilla game with no fixes, fixes, anti-crash mods, etc. Basically many varieties just to see if I could get it to even work vanilla... which it can't for neither New Vegas or Fallout 3. (Fallout 4 and every other game works perfectly fine) I have tried all variations of my fix methods with and without ENB. It has no affect on whether or not it crashes on load. I tend to not have it installed and currently have just the vanilla games installed to start fresh after posting this. I didn't "rename" the files, in fact I just wiped everything. Mods, saves, ini's, anything related to the game to try and fix the issue as I had tried many fixes.. none of which had seemed to work so I tried starting fresh with it still not being fixed. Hey everyone, So I was hoping for some assistance on this one as I've fixed and been modding my Fallout 3 & New Vegas since launches.. But I have not ever had nor heard of this issue. (at least not exact) Essentially, both Fallout 3 & New Vegas crash on loading any saves, or even creating new saves. Doesn't matter whether it's a fresh install of the game with all links to the games being wiped or whether I try all the bug fixes/mods to resolve common crashing issues. I've been trying to resolve this for days now but I've been having no luck. It seems like the d3d9.dll for New Vegas worked for a period but the second I add any mods it goes back to crashing... Which if I was just trying to play the vanilla game I'd be fine with. It seems to be something with the rendering of the game engine but I'm not sure how to go about resolving it permanently without the flawed d3d9 fix. I was hoping someone that has knowledge on this issue could assist me in fixing it as I'm beginning to go insane not being able to play these games. I'd like to add that both of these game used to run on my system but I have not ran them for awhile so I'm unsure of how long it's been an issue. Any help is much appreciated! Thank you!
