  1. lol, I was actually planning on just changing all the ones i wanted to use to the specified weapon type - no need for someone else to do my dirty work :)

  3. I like switching between weapons, though. Example: If I train blade I can switch between a massive flaming cleaver and a sword that looks like the apocalypse. Example: If I train blunt I can switch between a daedric axe and... well... a daedric axe. Not many cool end-game blunts that I like to use :/

I have always had trouble choosing between training blade or blunt - I'm using deadly reflex and I want to experience the game with both, but let's face it - vanilla, as well as most mods focus around adding swords to the game. I want to train blunt but not have that huge end-game disadvantage of "the best sword in the game is 5x worth the best axe in the game". Was curious if there was any mod that makes the blade/blunt exchangeable to the point where they are essentially the same skill? I don't like choosing which to use :(

  6. I got rid of all but my last 2-3 saves and it's still slow as balls. As for defragging, it shouldn't make a difference because oblivion is on a whole separate drive by itself, nothing else installed.
  7. I'm looking for a solution, or a mod, or some sort of feedback on how to increase the behind-the-scenes performance rate of the game. My framerates on max with QTP is about 50, so my machine is fine, my frames are fine, but what's frustrating is opening inventories/quicksaving. I happen to quicksave a LOT, and it gets frustrating when a "quick" save takes 4-5 seconds. Also opening the inventories of dead NPC's is fairly slow. I did some testing and found that the more mods I disabled [i have a lot of mods] the quicker the downtime is, which is sort of obvious, but what I'm looking for is some way to decrease the trivia downtimes by even more. I'm using the darnified+dark UI which increases your OWN inventory-open speed, but again the main problem is saving. This does sound like a QQ post, but 5 seconds is quite a long time when you quicksave every 15 [i have every right, 100% difficulty and double NPC damage that i changed myself] Thanks
  8. When you become Arch-Mage, you can use any Arcane University mage apprentice as your follower. Anyway, OP needs to tell us if that apprentice is from vanilla game or mod to make things clear. Sorry. It's the vanilla apprentice that you can recruit once you become archmage. Similar to the DB apprentices. I rested like 12 days in game and he still hasn't "returned". Thanks again, basc
  9. I'm sure this question has been asked and answered a thousand times, but... I told my mage to ''Go back to his studies" and he never returned, the game still thinks I'm dragging around an apprentice with me and won't let me pick up another one. No idea where he is, assuming he's not dead, probably just stuck somewhere. Any console or mod fixes I could apply?
  10. I've done all the quests but I've needed to start them through the console - raminus polus's dialogue is constantly bugged, he never even promoted me from associate to apprentice. What'd you know, you need to talk to him to become Arch-Mage! Hooray! I want all the benefits and I don't want to be arrested for going into my room - I'd appreciate it if there was any way to promote yourself through the console, or perhaps some sort of workaround.... Thanks
  11. So basically, people wearing mage robes are "invisible". You can see their hands, their feet, their head, but they are see-through where the robes should be. I use a good amount of mods, but I just reinstalled. I'm confident in myself, and as soon as it was installed I added in all of my mods without even testing to see if the game works, which made me think "AH! a mod must be causing this bug!" Edit: I used the robes on myself, as well. Was invisible. Seems to only bug out on Mage Robes Unfortunately, that's not the case as far as I can tell. I activated/deactivated every individual mod one at a time, restarted every time, and no matter what combination I use [No mods, all mods, some mods, other mods] I still have the same problem. I went into Data/meshes/RobeMage and saw that both the male and female NIF's were there and in tact, but I can't seem to figure out the problem. I am using OBMM, and these are the current mods I use.
