  1. Thanks for the additional information. I will see if I can make this happen.
  2. Is there a tutorial that shows how to create the sound file structures and how to add them to the Oblivion - Sounds.bsa file?
  3. I would like to make a sound mod. Not a dialogue or voice mod or a music mod, just a sound mod that replaces the sounds of fires that are found with fires in fireplaces and camp fires. I have searched the forum and also the Elder Scrolls Construction wiki, http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php?title=Main_Page . But I am unable to find any tutorial information either written or video that explains how to make a sound mod for Oblivon. Thanks for any help you can share.
  4. So I am wanting to start learning Creation Kit. After I open the program, I click on File and select Data and the Data menu appears, http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s544/Bluegemcutter/CreationkitDatamenu_zps7c088e92.jpg As seen in the Data menu, the Skyrim esm file is selected and then I click on OK. However, when I do this I keep getting this warning, http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s544/Bluegemcutter/CreationKitwarning_zpsffc4fe8e.jpg Why am I getting the warning? Do I need to reinstall Creation Kit? Thank you for your help. ---------------------------------------------- Edit: Ok so I have watched a couple of YouTube vids that are CK tutorials and the people simply instruct to click, Yes to all, whenever a warning message occurs. The warning messages are not that important, again, according to the video presentations of the CK tutorials. However, if there is important additional information from those of you who have been modding for quite some time with CK and believe that additional information about these warnings are necessary, please give your input. Thanks.
  5. Fascinating idea. There might even be another Dragonborn born.
  6. Yeah, using torches to light other light sources would be fun to have. Hope it happens.
  7. I remember seeing this kind of effect in another game and it occurred to me that I had not seen anything like it from bonfires or torches or fireplaces in Skyrim.
  8. This is a mod request for flying embers coming from fire sources. A visual example of what I am talking about is in this YouTube video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZ3gVeG7PIc I use Ultimate HD Fire Effects by BuzzDee84 and Enhanced Lights and FX by anamorfus and I have used Cinematic Fire Effects 2 HD by Ichibu and yet I have never seen any visual effect of flying embers and sparks as is represented in the YouTube example. Especially when a person move burning logs around or kick or hit a log that has been burning for some time, there are fire sparks and embers that fly around. Thank you for considering this mod request.
  9. Thank you Mahlzeit88 for the link. My characters' eyes blink now.
  10. So after my conversation with Delphine in the attic room, she and I leave the Sleeping Giant Inn and then Delphine asks me if I would like to travel with her to the Kynesgrove burial mound or if I would like to go on my own and meet her there. The problem is that after she asks me these options, the dialogue menu never appears so that I can choose either selection and I think it is the main reason for why I am having so many CTDs and thus am not able to finish this quest. Has anyone else had this specific problem with this quest ? And if so, were you able to fix the problem ? Thanks for tips and help.
  11. I want to ask how do I set up the in game camera to view my character front side when she is in motion instead of always viewing her from her back side. Thanks for help.
  12. I found a problem with the vcredist_x86.exe file that I attempted to install. For some reason the file that I had was vcredist_x86.exe.part. So each time I tried to click and Run it, I kept getting an error message, though different from the missing MSVCP120.dll message. At any rate, I went back to the Microsoft page and re-downloaded the vcredist_x86.exe again and this time it I was able to click and install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package (x86) which thus resolved the missing dll component so that now I am able to run BOSS.
  13. So I downloaded and installed BOSS then attempted to run both the BOSS.exe and then tried running the BOSS GUI.exe. The problem is that when I attempt to run either of the exe files all I get is a missing MSVCP120.dll and thus and am unable to get either program operating. http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s544/Bluegemcutter/MSVCP120dll_zps8994bfcc.jpg With both the BOSS.exe and the BOSS GUI.exe I re-installed BOSS but I keep getting the missing dll message. However, I ran a dll finder program that tells me that said dll is installed on my computer. One of my questions is then, is there a specific folder to which I need to install the BOSS program in order for the program to find and recognize the MSVCP120.dll? So then I went ahead and downloaded the vcredist_x86.executable from the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package (x86) link that is offered on the BOSS website and unzipped the files to a New Folder. http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s544/Bluegemcutter/vcredist_x86exe_zps49c2ee8f.jpg Is there a specific folder to which I need to unzip the files from this executable in order for BOSS to operate? Thanks for your help. <script charset="UTF-8" src="chrome://hdv/content/hdv.js" type="application/javascript"> </script>
  14. Hmm. I suppose there will be usual problems and kinks that will need to be worked out as this is a new program. I wonder what it was about BOSS that was so problematic that caused the need to design and build a different mod load order program. As opposed to just upgrading BOSS, fixing whatever problems there were and thus simply making BOSS a better working program.
  15. Thanks for your help guys I appreciate it. rhowington, have you tried the LOOT beta yet and if so, does it work better than BOSS?
