I've just started having this issue, after getting far enough into the game to kill 3 dragons. It seems like no matter what I do from my last save point, the game crashes my PC hard after just a couple of minutes. I'm not willing to put my PC through this over and over to test my actions in the game, so I guess I'm waiting for a patch...
