  1. Sounds like a Steam issue. Do a fresh install of Steam, then fully update it. You can also get SKSE through Steam now. Steam isn't that inquisitive. The only thing it does while running as a background process is checking its servers for updates for games that are flagged as installed. It's not watching or keeping track of what you do, and it also isn't a resource hog - especially if you can actually run, let alone mod any of the popular games in the Nexus network. Are you sure you're not confusing Steam with HAL 9000?
  2. You speak as though it will make a difference. The only numbers that matter are the numbers in their bank accounts.
  3. Valve has killed modding. I've played Bethesda games for thousands of hours with thousands of mods; but I'm not paying for user created content. Ever. How will this affect the Nexus sites? Greedy modders are inevitably going to remove their mods from the Nexus in favor of the Steam Workshop. So much for Mod Organizer.
  4. There's no doubt we'll see another Elder Scrolls. Since Tamriel has more or less been (and will be in future patches/expansions) covered by TESO, I hope they move to one of the other continents for the next main entry in the series. I'm sure Fallout 4 will keep us busy until then anyhow.
  5. I've been looking through the texture folder, but can't seem to find anything related to this object. Any idea which texture is missing from this object? I can live with it, but it does break immersion in nordic ruins. http://i2.minus.com/iHPO9nRaBvLj.jpg
  6. Yeah, I did everything that was suggested. It sorted itself out after the third reinstall after I posted this thread. I have no idea what caused it to begin with. Thanks for the help, guys.
  7. I've spent over 500 hours on a heavily modded Skyrim throughout the years, and this has never happened before. Used the Texture Pack Combiner as a base, but none of the textures from any of the included mods are showing up in-game. I thought I had done something wrong during the installation, but nope. Downloaded a colorful Alduin just for the sake of checking if it would show up on the new game loading screen, but it didn't. I've updated and reverted drivers, tried all available .ini launcher tweaks, deleted all .ini files and let Skyrim make fresh ones, messed with driver settings, done several fresh installs, cleaning the registry and so on. I've even disabled Skyrim - Textures.bsa and tried to let loose files load in its place, but everything just shows up untextured, regardless of how many loose textures are installed. Nothing seems to work, and all the paths in my Data folder are correct. My Skyrim folder is not read only and UAC is disabled. It's also installed on a separate HDD from where Windows 7 is installed. Google searches only brought up irrelevant threads with people needing help with the most basic things, and mostly only had to do with the official HD DLC overriding loose files, which is not the case at all here as I don't use it. Am I missing something obvious? Don't think it matters, but my specs are GTX 590, i7 960 @ 4.5ghz, 8GB DDR3 RAM.
