  1. It's important to establish that this is purely a visual issue, as all the actual plugins are still listed, ticked, and function normally. But, for some reason, every file under the mods tab has the disabled icon, and if I try to enable them the operation is never carried out; nmm just flashes a few times. Once again, this doesn't compromise my game in any way, but it's still irritating, particularly since every other game I mod through NMM (there's alot) doesn't have this issue and mods show up as green check marks like usual. This is a bit of an oddity and I haven't been able to find anyone else having this issue, so if anyone knows how to fix this I'm all ears.
  2. Hm, didn't think of it like that, since trying to sort through NMM's file list is in-and-of-itself a major frustration. I may do as you suggested, but it would be so much simpler if the author just made it available on the Nexus, assuming he even comes to this forum anymore or ever reads this post. This is getting a bit off topic, so I will summarize; Regardless, uploading to Nexus would simply be more convenient for everyone and save a lot of headaches, and if the contest is over then that's even less reason not to. So, just make it easier on yourself and us by uploading it here.
  3. 1. Installers don't necessarily make things safer. In fact, they are prone to errors which can make things less safe. They only make things safer by reducing the probability of human error. But if you install it correctly, there's no extra danger. (Well at least until it comes time to uninstall.) 1A. Any mod you can download can be installed via manager. Just make sure the mod is archived (i.e. a .rar, .7z or .zip file) and drop it in NMM's download folder. NMM will then install it like any other mod. 2. Conflicts are not always detectable and are the same as problems. It's basically guaranteed that this mod will conflict with True Storms. But it's also basically guaranteed that you wouldn't notice the conflict unless you were familiar with the changes from both mods. You'd likely think "wow! look at all these cool new weathers!" Without realizing that you're missing about half of the new weathers (the ones from the overwritten mod). 1. You may be right, but I have a checkered history of breaking my game when downloading mods manually. Not just Fallout 4, but also Skyrim, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I have A LOT of mods across all my games and I can't recall a single time that a mod I installed through NMM has caused any significant problems, and if they did it was likely my fault for not considering compatibility or other hair-brained mistakes on my end. The risk of human error can make a strong case, and taking it out of the equation is just one less complication I would have to deal with. 1A. I didn't know that, but the way NMM goes about sorting mods could pose a problem when deciding where exactly to extract the files to. 2. That makes sense and, honestly, if that's what would happen I wouldn't care because I would still be left with at least some of the features of True Storms supplemented with the changes brought by this mod, and as long as it doesn't break my game I likely won't even notice.
  4. I think it's still on Bethesda.net, but, once again, I will only run mods through an installer such as NMM and if Bethesda.net doesn't provide one then it's no go for me. Also, a buddy of mine has both this (on console) and True Storms and hasn't had any conflicts or compatibility issues.
  5. I can provide a good reason to upload it on here: Manually downloading mods, especially visual mods, is very risky. I learned this from personal experience when I manually downloaded a texture mod and it made my game so broken that I had to delete it. Not "delete local content," but actually deleting every file, mods and all, all of which I had to re-download after reinstalling. It was a very painful and infuriating experience, after which I now refuse to download any visual mod manually, no matter how enticing it is. Besides, if the contest is over then what reason do you have not to? Also, I just checked the link on Moddb and the mod isn't even available anymore, just a gallery of pictures taken from the mod. So what, we can't use this mod at all now?
  6. But, once again, it only affects a single character, but I'll try it. Just tried that and, once again, no change. I'm about to give up, as it's only a minor nuisance that in no way impedes my game or my character, so if anyone has any fresh ideas I'll listen. Otherwise, I say just let it go.
  7. Not sure if it's necessary since 4 out of 5 characters are unaffected and if it was some sort of conflict then all 5 of them should be affected, right? I don't really like doing that since my list is very long but, eh, why not? Keep in mind that I've ran this repeatedly through LOOT, TES5Edit and Wrye Bash and there have been no detected conflicts. I don't know how to do the spoiler tag, so It's just a direct copy/paste. 8. Bump. Come on, nobody has an idea?
  9. No, this character is my second-to-last, and my first character is still running strong despite all the extensive modding I've done.
  10. Not really, and once again if there was a problem then it shouldn't work for any of my characters. IDK man, I'm still scratching my head over it.
  11. Yeah, yeah, another thread about some guy having problems with FNIS, one of a hundred other posts on the subject, but my specific issue is very unique and confounding because it isn't game-based, it's character-based. Like many others I use the XP32MSE/FNIS Behaviour/FNISPCEA2/DUALSHEATHREDUX in combination for my characters' animations. Now, I have 5 characters total, 4 of which having no issue when it comes to any of these mods; they show up in the MCM like they should and all the options are there, but the anomaly here is that FNIS refuses to work for only a single character of mine; FNIS does not appear in the MCM and I have no idea why. I use no other animation mods and there's nothing particularly special about this last character, except for the fact he's the only one of my characters who uses the 'sword and board' fighting style, but I have no clue why that would adversely prevent FNIS from properly loading. The only other unique features are that this character's also a werebear (Moonlight Tales) so I suppose it could be some issue with body meshes, but I feel even that's a stretch. At the very least the MCM menu should appear. And don't bother replying with the obvious fixes; I use a trinity of LOOT/TES5Edit/Wrye Bash to organize and maintain my load order. I've ran them all multiple times with no change. And yes, I've run both GenerateFnisForUsers and the DSR patcher several times, resulting in no change either. This is hardly game-breaking, as nothing else concerning this character is broken or corrupted and I can play him just like my other four, but I'd still like to know exactly how this could happen and I'm not a particular fan of the XP32MSE stock animations. So, if you can think of something I may have missed, I'm all-ears. And no, I'm not using Mod Organizer, just NMM.
