  1. gelastic -- pertaining to laughter; provoking or causing laughter (such as Tidus's joke above me did).
  2. Granted. To your dying day, you never find out that you're living in a computer simulation, where none of your decisions have any effect on the real world at all. I wish I could write my story faster.
  3. Shawn: Sorry, but I missed your latest post. There are some guides to using TES5Edit on the Creation Kit wiki. EDIT: There are links to lots more documentation on TES5Edit's description page. Also, what did the error message say?
  4. Shawn: Your posts were hard to read without caps, punctuation, or paragraph breaks, so I almost missed a few details. 2 GB of RAM is a little small for Skyrim, and Immersive Armors and Immersive Weapons are both large mods with lots of models and textures. It's possible you don't have enough computer to run all of that with other mods. Have you tried closing other programs that might be running in the background, or switching any antivirus/anti-malware programs into a gaming or temporarily-disabled mode? (Be sure to set them back to normal after!) rjrpr: Same as above, plus what masterpoe said. Also, AngelOfPassion has a CTD guide here on the Nexus that looks reasonable. Shawn, you might want to look at that too. both of you: Nexus staff member bben has some mod troubleshooting guides on his own site. Googling around a bit can help too. Best of luck to you both!
  5. Granted. You materialize right over one of the La Brea Tarpits. I wish the earpieces hadn't broken off of my headset.
  6. Granted. She's now extremely, obnoxiously you-centered. I wish coffee tasted good enough that I'd actually want to drink it.
  7. Granted. Unfortunately, everything in it is so new and cutting-edge that it hasn't been properly debugged yet, so it crashes constantly. I wish I knew where my missing issues of Invention & Technology disappeared to.
  8. Granted. Unfortunately, their remote connections for that are slower than dial-up, to the point where it's actually faster to put the assignments on removable media and bring them in yourself. I wish my cat was a bit younger and more active. (He's still as nice as ever, but he's 17 and showing his age.)
  9. Granted. But you completely forgot it the instant you clicked in the Reply box. I wish I had $100,000,000 in a normal, non-deflated currency.
  10. You're welcome, Fulay! I'm glad I could help. (Hopefully I haven't given you just enough information to get into trouble. )
  11. Thanks, Thandal! :D I already know how to do it; I just wondered if I was supposed to be able to. I guess that's a "yes" then.
  12. The codes you're looking for, fulay, are enable and disable. However, when using these codes (or, even worse, the markfordelete code), for the love of Talos make sure you have the correct thing selected in the console! Things can get pretty messed up if you accidentally delete part of the ground, or an invisible activator box for a quest. Always save before using these codes, so you can go back and reload if you did something wrong. You can double-check that you have the right thing selected by clicking around to see where the RefID number changes before using a code, or by using openactorcontainer 1 to open their inventory and check their name there (if you're selecting an NPC or a chest/dresser/cabinet/etc.). Flying your view around with the tfc 1 code works well, too -- it pauses the game, and if there's something in the way, you can fly your camera right through it and right next to the thing you want to select. Just make sure you enter tfc 1 again to unpause everything before loading or saving, or everyone will stay frozen until you quit to desktop. Also, most unique NPCs from the vanilla game and official DLCs have their RefID numbers listed on reference sites like the UESP Wiki and the Elder Scrolls Wikia, and mod pages will occasionally list the IDs of NPCs they add (all of mine do, for example). In this case, Jenassa's RefID is 000E1BA9. If you see a different number at the top of the console, either you mis-clicked or there's something invisible in the way. Also, there's a big list of console codes here, as well as some instructions on using them. Just be sure to save first (in case you do something wrong), and don't use any unfamiliar codes until you understand what they do.
  13. I generally lean Imperial myself, but I have some Stormcloak characters as well.* I can see the merits of both sides, and I find both enjoyable to play. I do tend to think a united Empire could stand up to the Dominion better in a Second Great War than one without Skyrim (especially if they can restore relations with Hammerfell enough), and that Skyrim is generally better off inside the Empire than outside it. On the other hand, an independent Skyrim allied with Hammerfell might have a decent chance as well. * Heck, I even have a Thalmor character, thanks to Alternate Start, though he's been growing ever more Imperial since his arrival on mainland Tamriel, and he effectively left the Thalmor after escaping Helgen's destruction with Hadvar.
  14. My Premium subscription expired a while back, yet I can still upload to Supporter Images. My understanding is that I need to still be Premium to upload there, but only a Supporter to view and comment. Is this correct? (I have a test image set to hidden here, to illustrate what I mean to staff/moderators. I plan to delete it, or possibly unhide it, after I get an answer.) In a related question, I can also still see the Premium servers in the server list when I try a manual download, though (naturally enough) clicking on them only sends me to the Premium info page. (They show up in my server list for MO too, but I've made them low-priority so it won't try to download from them.) Are these supposed to show up for Supporters as well as active Premium users -- or for every user -- as an ad for Premium?
  15. Hmm, I didn't know that, Jim. I did know about the YouTube tags though. Regarding YouTube and media tags, there was a thread about that a while back in the Mod Authors forum, if you have access there. Otherwise, I posted a bit some time ago about BBCode (and the differences in how it's expressed in the forums and in the Images and Files sections) in both an image comment and a post in the Mod Authors forum.
  16. Then, too, "BANNED" also appears (probably for technical reasons) on the profiles of closed accounts -- people who left the site voluntarily and asked for their accounts to be closed. These people can have their accounts reactivated by request, as detailed in this post by Robin/Dark0ne.
  17. endorheic basin -- a drainage basin that doesn't drain to any oceans, or to anyplace else outside. Water that flows in gets out only through evaporation into the air or seepage through the ground.
  18. Granted. Unfortunately, you are unable to unbend them afterword, and the resulting permanent spatial distortions wreak havok with the universe. I wish my previous post hadn't crossed with brokenergy's post.
  19. Granted. The trip is much shorter via a new experimental teleporter. Unfortunately, the teleporter breaks down while you're traveling through it, scattering your atoms across half the state. EDIT: Sorry, brokenergy, I only now noticed that our posts crossed. So... Granted. They are now compared to you instead. I wish there was a freeway near me with no speed limit and not much traffic.
  20. Granted. The only thing on it is the name of the university and the sentence "Welcome to our website." I wish I knew what the Voynich Manuscript was about.
  21. Granted. It's still an alpha build, and so buggy it's nearly unplayable. I wish my cat could open the sliding door to the screen porch himself, and close it behind him.
  22. Granted. They're all hyperinflated old Zimbabwean dollars, which were worth about 1/1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000th of a US dollar each when Zimbabwe officially abandoned its currency in 2009. I wish I could safely visit Mars.
  23. Granted. Billyro changed his signature to something more conventional before you could explore it, and the mystery of what lay within those spoiler tags will torment you to your dying day. I wish I didn't feel sick today.
  24. (Continuing the earlier theme...) jalopy -- an old, worn-out car. My first car was definitely one of these: a mark 2-era VW Jetta (I forget what year, exactly -- probably 1986 or '87) with a peed-in-the-silver-paint champagne exterior and brown-checkered tablecloth material as interior roof upholstery. It was no longer very freeway-capable, but that wasn't a problem at the time, as I was still on my learner's permit and not very freeway-capable myself yet. My last car (before my current one) was definitely one too by the time I got rid of it in 2008: a 1992 VW Passat with the engine and (automatic) transmission from a 1990 VW Passat I'd had previously. (Despite being totaled in big multi-car pileup, those parts were in much better shape than the ones the '92 came with.) Though it was in decent shape when I got it in 2003 (and was even better after the transplant), by mid-2008 pretty much everything had started to go wrong with it, and I got rid of it soon after.
  25. I don't do much of that, Tidus, since I sunburn pretty easily. My outdoor activities tend to be more late-afternoon and into the evening, sometimes going downright crepuscular (happening during dusk or dawn twilight).
