  1. I've been away from Elden Ring modding for a while and a lot of my favorite mods are out of date. So I've been looking for replacements as well as some DIY solutions. 1. How do i merge mods? (I completely forgot) 2. How do I upgrade a mod to work with the current version and DLC? (Is it as simple as merging an old mod into the game's most recent regulation.bin or is this a more complicated thing?) 3. I used to use a mod that added DMC Vergil's moveset to the game for the moonveil Katana (and other katanas). The only up to date mod I found is Carion Combo Warriors, but it changes far too many things, adds too many new armors and movesets etc. I only wanted the one moveset with minimal change to the rest of the gameplay or starting classes. Anyone know if I'm just looking at the wrong mod?
  2. It may have been nothing as bad as I thought afterall lol. In any case, I've given up on changing that mod for now. Might come back to trying to change this message box at a later date though.
  3. I don't think that's permitted. Since it would technically violate the mod author's permissions. But it isn't a big enough deal for me to get others involved beyond instructions. Plus, I may have bigger issues now so skyrim modding is taking a back seat. Computer just did something that suggests it is dying.
  4. Damn. Papyrus Script stuff is something I'm not willing to risk touching. I'm not particularly skilled with that sort of stuff and last thing I need is to break it.
  5. I'm trying to fix a grammatical error in a text box for a mod that's been driving me crazy. The text box pops up after a certain unique enemy is killed. But I cannot seem to find a way to do this via TesEdit and when I open the mod in creation kit I cannot find the correct files amid all the files of base skyrim and its DLCs (and I'm not even sure I'm looking in the right place). I feel like this should be a lot less complicated for a simple text change. So here's what would help me: Step by step instructions on how to find files like these and search for them within either creation kit or TesEdit; or A way to open "just" the mod in creation kit without it opening all the required masters, so at least I have fewer files to search through.
  6. Dwemer tech sort of uses a steampunk aesthetic. But I love the idea of a significantly more advanced sci-fi like race having a hidden civilization beneath the medieval Skyrim. Or that it could be used for Dwemer themed player homes so that the player feels like the hyper advanced one. I'm decent with some texture work, but my past efforts to change Dwemer textures have been disasterous at worst or too minimal to achieve the sci-fi aesthetic at best. Not asking for any mesh changes, gameplay changes, etc. Just a set of sci-fi textures over dwemer stuff.
  7. It appears some details have been deleted from my post. Is there a size limit I'm not aware of? Forgot to mention: Using Enboost but no graphic changes or modifications. Been getting errors that SKSE memory patch isn't working. But as far as I can tell I have all the settings right. It is possible I don't understand how to install that particular detail in the right location when using Mod Organizer, but I've tried installing it as its own mod and I've tried installing it with the game.exe itself. Still get the error. I know there is a way to turn the error off, but maybe this error is the cause of my concern. Load Order:
  8. Having an issue where racemenu frequently CTDs. I already have racemenu precache killer installed. The game more or less seems to run fine otherwise, but it crashes when attempting to change eyes, import a head, or especially when changing hairs. Notably the issue is not as bad if I go with a blank character first, play a little, and then use racemenu. But still pretty bad. I'm basically unable to create a custom character. Using MO2. Playing Legendary Edition. Logs (been a long time since I used the spoiler function so no promises I get it right).
  9. I want someone to make an enchantment that causes the same effect as the master level destruction spell "blizzard." Now yes, i know console commands can be used to put any magic effect on any equitable item, but here's the thing. I tried that and the results were not what I wanted. I used "playerenchantobject (ring ID) (blzzard ID)" etc. And when I equipped it, boom Blizzard! But when i walked around the blizzard remained in the place where I first equipped the item. I want the blizzard to follow me. Can anyone do that for me?
  10. I would love a mod or file editor that can help me fix the bug for the Occult/Braile quest. This quest breaks so frequently I still cannot get the achievement, because the bug triggers so easily and the developer's have decided to do f*ck all to fix it.
  11. I would love if certain enemies had the appearance of necromorph slashers, lurkers, etc. From deadspace. Just a few, nothing crazy.

  13. When I launch any mod through ModEngine it doesn't seem to take effect in game. Even something as simple as editing a .bin to give infinite durability to a single spell does nothing and the game launches totally vanilla. I unpacked using yapped runebear, I patched, i tried putting the regulation bin in the correct folder, I tried replacing the actual regulation.bin file (after making a backup of course). And still nothing. I cannot figure out why it has suddenly stopped working.
  14. Been using a mod pack that I have really gotten used to, and made several custom changes to. However, it is out of date and the original was deleted. I would like to try to update it myself to work with version 1.5 if possible so I don't have to redo all of my tweaks and try to remember which armors I did and did not replace and which parts I need to hide for them. It's been a while and I don't remember. What do I need to know or is this something beyond my skill level?
  15. I'm trying to edit a regulation.bin, but only slightly. I want to change the duration of the ash of war for Mohgwyn's sacred spear (Bloodboon Ritual) but I can't find any unique ashes of war in yapped. I can only find the ashes of war that are the player can use on regular weapons. I am not trying to change which ash of war a weapon uses, I am trying to modify an existing ash of war. Additional things I am trying to find: 1. How to change the effect of a spell without changing its visual effect. (Fire's deadly sin visuals but with the buff from flame grant be strength). 2. how to change visuals without changing the effect: (Flame grant me strength visuals but for one of the crystal tears). I don't know which IDs go to which category.
