I had't heard of anyone else receiving these emails so thought I should make people aware on the forum. Thank you for the advice.

Yesterday I received an email which included by old nexusmods password and requested a payment of $900 in bitcoin to avoid all my data being published on the internet. I don't know if the investigation into the Nexusmods hack is ongoing but I can supply the original scam email if it would assist?
