  1. In response to post #89789608. Either is viable, not much difference between doing it oneself and letting the computer do it. If you're not used to doing this kind of thing, I suggest you do a manual install as well to familiarize yourself with the process :) Its really simple after you get used to it.
  2. I am! However I started from scratch once and that hadn't helped, though a second or third time never hurt anybody. I also just uninstalled/updated graphics drivers with DDU for the third time, and that helped a little bit, but freezing still occurs. I thought for a bit that BTInteriors was the issue, but after disabling/uninstalling and testing, nothing changed. I am seeing I/O spikes in FPM, but I can't get the in-game counters to show so I'm not exact on the numbers. I'm hoping to learn how to correct I/O issues, because that isn't something I know much about. I can't say for sure if the mods are the issue since I'm running almost the same build I ran with my gtx 970, with the exception of Horizon, but It'd be nice to rule out again.
  3. Would it be alright to PM you? I'm seeing some interesting things, but still am not sure exactly what I'm reading. I'll be looking up some things in the meantime. Thanks again!
  4. I'm on W7 at the moment, since W10 has had so many issues with..stuff in general. Thank you, though, hopefully this will help someone else. Thank you for replying, I will have to test this after I get home from a trip. My flight leaves tomorrow morning, so I'll post my results as soon as I can after I return :) This looks like a good lead.
  5. Haha, yes I can :) I did indeed install the updated drivers instead of using the disc. I have already reinstalled FO4 and deleted the old inis/redetected hardware. I have also tried various ini settings from various sources, and tested a few different vsync settings...I'm at quite a loss. I'm starting to wonder if the GPU itself is messed up somehow.
  6. Not sure if this is where it needs to be, but this is indeed a PC gaming issue. I recently went from a GTX 970 to a 1070. I haven't tested many demanding games so far; I mainly bought it for FO4 and Skyrim/SE mod builds. With FO4 I expected issues from Godrays, which I'm fine with. But I'm getting random freezing when loading new cells that is driving me bonkers. This definitely didn't happen with the 970. Whenever I walk/run/sprint into a new area, I get about three freezes, one after the other, and then all is well. FPS drops as low as 2fps during this...problem. GPU and CPU temperatures seem normal, with GPU around 56-60 celsius and the CPU at around 65-69 celsius. I've tried a multitude of things, but clearly not the *right* thing. Also recently uninstalled drivers with DDU and reinstalled. Tried twice. I haven't yet tried to reposition the GPU, and I have a toddler with me right now so that will have to wait. I'm a little new to the world of PC gaming (at least the hardware part), so there could be something really obvious I'm missing. I haven't seen anyone else with quite this problem, though. My specs: CPU: i7-4790k CPU @ 4.00GHz RAM: 16GB RAM MOBO: Gigabyte Z97X-SLI GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 SC
  7. Same situation. From Internet explorer I got to the front page, but after trying to log in it produced the same error.
  8. I'm having this issue, too. I'm in Montana.
  9. I spent the past few days installing Skyrim SE for the second time, and followed the SEPTIM guide very, very closely (Somehow not closely enough?). However, since I was testing with a beastrace character, I didn't notice until the end of my installation that human females had misplaced/sunken eyelashes. (Probably not going to make that mistake again...) I then disabled/uninstalled every mod that altered females in any way in an effort to find and fix this glitch....but nothing has helped. The glitch is only apparent on my characters, all other in-game females are unaffected so far. I was using UNP Body Renewal thing (With ECE head/chargen stuff), the unbroken WICO, True Brows/True Eyes, Bijin, Immersive Wenches, Apachii...basically everything in the SEPTIM guide, with the inclusion of KS Hairs. All of that has been uninstalled and the glitch still persists. Has anyone experienced this? I'd love some help, I've really hit a dead-end here. ((I forgot to mention that when changing sex in character creation, it takes ages to load the female...I can't figure that out either, and It is possibly connected.))
  10. I don't know much about modding, but when I find the time, I dabble. I was editing Friffy's Just Holstered Weapons mod by changing texture filepaths from the regular Handmade Assault Rifle textures to the Pack textures so I could use it with the unique weapon the Pack leader gives you. I went through every model and changed all the filepaths to the texture I wanted (All the Pack ones are the same as the regular ones, but have the word Pack at the end), and also changed the materials to the Pack version. I saved them in another folder, backed up the files I had, and overwrote them. Tested fine, completely functional. Started playing, and noticed that whenever I opened my weapons tab when trading to a companion or a container, the game would CTD. I removed the edits I'd made and restored the backups, and all worked well again. What did I do wrong? I'd love to understand better what I messed up on.
  11. This topic may not belong here, but I didn't know where else to post. I've been scouring the internet for a day looking for a mod that will truly halt the ugly sunken-cheeked, elongated chin morph that vampirism applies to my character's face, but I can't find anything that seems to actually work for me. I'm using RAN's headmesh type D. Is there a way that *I*, as new to modding as I am, can go into the CK or something and put an end to this without giving up the fangs i installed? I do love the fangs... thanks for any information or links, guys and gals. :) (I'm still in the process of testing mods, so if you have any ideas, fling them my way!)
  12. I have been dying for Tank Girl armors/accessories, namely her Booga hat with goggles. I'm only just learning how to make my own mods, and have only graduated to very, very terrible retextures. Maybe while I'm still learning, someone else can take this idea for a spin? *Edit I meant to put an actual title, but I was a little click-happy.
  13. Ohh, thank you...I really hope all of this information helps. I'll have to work on attempting this later in the week because mommy duty and stuff. But I'll be sure to update you on whether or not it worked, assuming I uninstall and re-install everything correctly.
  14. No such luck  I also tried using different animations for walking/running, but no luck there either... I just tried UNP with no bodyslide and the issue still persisted with Emfy Cleric Robes...I'm so lost over this one.
