Community shaders won't work because of my processor, it's a G4560 and it doesn't have the technology needed sadly.
-
They are both disabled already, I thought it was that too. I just give up with enb, it's just a messing feature if you don't have a good computer. I'll just find another way to get object shadows and nice water.
-
Finaly I found an enb preset that isn't dark but I get everything blurry, if I go back a few meters everything gets even more blurry and wind animated plants stop moving and get a "grainy" movement. It hurts the eyes after a bit.
-
Just tried that, it didn't change a thing. If you look at last capture you can see shadows around the eyes, the mouth, the neck ... These shadows are gray without enb. When I activate enb, these shadows become deep black but the new shadows from ambient occlusion are gray. I feel that maybe the new shadows from enb go above the old ones. Maybe if I could deactivate shadows from the game and keep only the one from enb it could help ?
-
I already checked that, it is on 0. I don't have the line bSAO_CS_Enable though. I also deactivated all the mods, even enb related ones, same problem. Thanks.

Hello, I'm searching for a solution to really dark shadows problem in Enb for two days. Characters create really dark shadows on themselves, when their back is in the light it's all the character that is dark. When I deactivate Enb everything goes back to normal. Most of the shadows are really black too, everything seems to be related. With and without enb

I managed to clear the black faces bug easily but the floating eyes and teeth no. I looked for patches and stuff but nothing did it, it doesnt matter since most of important npcs are covered by overhauls. I really would like to find another overhaul, this one doesnt cover unamed npcs.
-
I erased all my saves and made a new start, I think the npcs touched by the missing faces are the ones not touched by npcs replacers. I changed load order many times but it didn't change a thing. I'm downloading KSHair For All Vanilla NPCs and see if I have the same bugs. I don't really like these replacers, it breaks immersion to see everyone with a boysband haircut. I think i'll just stick with vanillas hair for the untouched npcs.

Well, VHR is full of bugs, i got black faces I was able to correct with a fix but I also have floating teeths and eyes instead of heads on some generic npcs, wasn't able to correct that. So VHR get lost of my list

Today I was having a hard time trying to figure out why Ks Hairdos didn't change npcs hair I thought it was a replacer .. I switched to VHR - Vanilla Hair Replacer, it seems to be the most lore friendly. I also found what value to change for the inside, it was so dark without light sources I barely could see things around. It is Ambientlightninginteriorday or night in Environnement tab, i went from 1 to 3.

I cleaned the files loot told me to, and I finally got rid of that gray layer I had. It wasn't the postprocessing option in enb because I had it inside but not outside and the contrary when I changed the state of it, it was EnablePostPassShader. At least one problem solved I hope.

I use loot since the beggining, he somtimes tells me he found x ITM records, I think they are the ones that need to be clean.

Thanks for the explanation, I think I understand MO2 but I need to learn SSedit if I want to stop adding supressing mods. I had a hard time launching it since I'm on Gog but it's done, I will follow Gamerpoets tutorial to see if I learn enough.

What I mean by patch from my wrong vocabulary, is a file or an option needed for a mod to work with another one otherwise there will be problems.
-
I remember my first unmodded run on Skyrim, it was on an old laptop too. I even abandonned it since it was really ugly and lagging I understand what you say and logic of the patches, I try to avoid them and find alternative mods because I find difficult to know what mod corrupts what. Sometimes I install a mod with the patches and options needed and later when I install another one that conflicts with it without knowing and didn't select the right patch in the first one, both mods don't work properly. It surely is the case with Evla I just got out of my list, but I don't know what caused the bug. So I try my best to get mods that don't conflict with anything but it's hard. You mean that xedit would show me the conflicts I have running ?

My nephew came to say hi and so I wanted to show him the game, what a disapointment, he noticed that characters and objects didn't cast shadows in the outside, only inside. Only buildings and trees did cast shadow. I didnt see it before but it made the npcs and objects look flat like 2D. I found the guilty mod, it's Enhanced Volumetric Lighting and Shadows (EVLaS). I also added UseOriginalPostProcessing=true in enbseries.ini, it gave a gray layer in front of everything when it was deactivated. Kids have better eyes than us

Thanks for your time taken for the answers I had a high doubt on lightened and efps, now I know it might help me install a bit more complicated mods, for now i dont see the difference because my machine has more power then yours I think. It's a good point to know. I will try to replace lux-via today with the ones you just pointed. I'll get rid of cathedral weathers and obsidian fogs, you're right, not necessary for a playthrough. I didn't find Mari's mods when I was searching for plants, Mari's flora pack looks great, I'll try to replace cathedral with it and that will be a huge improvement in my list if it works It even has grass, I couln't find one that works properly, I hope this one do. I had cutting room but it was messing around my game, too many patches.

I just added the specs of my computer. I wanted to use community shaders but the processor G4560 doesn't have the feature to make it work I tried a few Enbs and this lightweight one doesn't impact my fps at all compared to not having one as long as I don't use complex enb effects, I disabled them in the ini so I can still have a clearer image, nice looking water and small stuffs, it modernize the game a lot, you should try it if you are in the same case as mine, press shift + f12 to see the difference. Just don't forget to suppress some options, maybe some more can be suppressed I'm not sure. I put here 2 screenshots with and without Enb. I turned my reflexion different than yours, I compiled a base of mods for the base game to look modern enough and make additions to it checking if they put my computer in difficulty. High poly project doesn't change a thing for now. I always use 1k textures since my screen is not a big one, no need for bigger ones. The problem I have now with this mod is the pile of logs sometimes sinking into the ground and some side textures not showing, I don't know why. Ulvenwald Lite - Vanilla Replacer is the type of mods I'd like to change since he needs a lot of ressouces, I just need one that replaces vanilla trees to something more realistic than vanillas. I checked many guides and followed Gamerpoets tutorial on youtube but they add too many outdated mods and lots of non optimized combos for a potatoe machine. Even if I had a gamers computer I wouldn't follow them again, it was a waste of time and source of many pain bugs. I try to go on mods that "simply works" even if they are not popular, many mod creators make better things than the usual ones that we find in these tutorial but they are hard to find them in the multitude. Just check TMBE Enhanced Body for SSE, I tried many body mods but this one has no problems out of the box, doesnt need patch to work with other mods, looks nice and works with physics. Combined with TMB Vanilla Armors and Clothes SSE you can redo all female characters in a vanilla friendly way or not in a few clicks and without adding other mods. I still have many ugly things around and the perfect goal would be to be able to suppress High poly project, smimm and forgotten retex. Today I'm going to try unmarked locations pack, Children of the Pariah - An Orc NPC Overhaul, SIRENROOT - Deluge of Deceit, Animated Carriage, ELAF POI Restless and Shipwrecks (Points of interest Two). I think they could add a bit of life in the game without being too much.

Hello everyone, I played really simple modded Skyrim many years ago and it was a great experience, now that my nephew has the age I want to offer him a go in this fantasy world. My computer is not very good for complex modding, the cpu can't even run community shaders and the gpu is just good enough to run some simple Enb effects without fans going crazy. I'm working on a list for two weeks on my spare time but I keep getting nasty bugs and mods not working properly or not at all. I understand how mods work and I read descriptions every time, I also try to avoid mods that need patching and stuff. I really need a helping hand to guide me through the myriad of mod in nexus if someone can spare some time. I copy my actual simplified list in next message. Thank you Gpu Radeon Rx6600, Cpu G4560. Anniversary edition Gog version 1179 with mod organizer 2 Edit : I start back from the beggining, too many conflicts. I got rid of Enb too, my computer can't handle it without going crazy.

Hello everyone, It's my first time modding a game and i'd like to have advices from experts here. I've just spent 2 weeks modding skyrim se and checked some tutorials but got lots of problems along the way (black faces, nude npcs, empty npcs inventory, mod not working ....), i managed to solve most of the problems but not the nude npc and empty inventory one, I believe i messed up many times by adding and suppressing mods i didnt like. I can do with a few black faces but not with nude npcs, it breaks the immersion. So i want to start fresh even if i dont like losing my playthrough and since i know a lot of mod i want to keep i want to merge them to sort everything better and reuse them later. My sorting isnt optimal atm. Example : The doors mods by hype1 could be regrouped in a single zip easely i believe since they are only meshes and textures files. (link) When i check the CL's weapon mods (link) i see they have the classics meshes and textures folders but they also have esp files each, since it's a replacer for vanilla weapons, i was wondering what the esp's are for ? Going back to it, hard work awaits me to sort these hundreds mods
