Glad to see someone else has characters aplenty in their arsenal! That's been the way I've played since day 1, or, maybe 1 1/2... Start a character, develop him/her to the point where I'm beginning to get a little bored, move the save file elsewhere and start a new character. Even with NO conscious attempt to make them different beyond name and appearance, characters always wind up with their peculiarities that set them apart. Simultaneously, there's the mods...constantly loading new mods keeps changing the background the characters play against. After enough mod-related changes, I can go back to "My Docs", pick up one or more old character save files, move them back into the lineup. The variety introduced by the constant addition of new mods makes playing a well developed mature character for the first time after a long hiatus seem much like a new character in a rather different game.

...I have many questions as I recreate my beloved Skyrim game in all its modded glory. First, I used to have a follower, a little redheaded Breton spinner who holed up in the pub in Dawnstar until recruited. Name's Trish. I know my search skills are crap, but I really need help finding this mod again. Anyone want to make me look like the senile old man I am???? Next, went looking for "better divine blessings" (absolutely love the increased foot speed Akatosh can provide you with) only to find the mod author has blocked access to his work. Anybody got any insight into what's going on here? Lastly, not part of the game that went down with the "ship", and probably not going to be incorporated into the resurrected version, but, does anyone recall a "TERA armors" variant mod in which the armors featured would only be lore-friendly if Skyrim was Tamriel's porn capitol. These armors were pretty much limited to knee down and shoulder to fingertip areas so as to not interfere with the viewing preferences of dirty ole men like yours truly. Just trying to confirm that it DID exist at one time, and my mind's not playing tricks.... Thanx in advance for all the helpful posts that are sure to follow...

Currently using PC version of Skyrim. Switched from PS-3, but didn't like using the keyboard, so I bought an XBox 360 controller. Always have had a problem with "oversteer", but this corrected nicely on the PS by turning down the "Look sensitivity" of the controller. Can't get the same results with the 360 controller when I apply the same fix. Am I doing something wrong...is it a problem with the controller...what? Appreciate any help...thanx in advance.

In my Skyrim, followers frequently go into dungeons and never come out, Saadia has to skip town, Njada has a way of ending up as the down payment on a set of smokin' ebony chain mail armor, and, who knows, Ysolda might wind up as Mrs Thane of Whiterun, and such behavior would be unseemly for the wife of a VIP. The mod would have to adjust for both permanent and temporary absences by the principal NPC's. Allowing the muscle half of a team to soldier on alone could be one answer, recuiting Gia to replace a missing muscle half could be another. Collapsing the team remnants would be the ultimate solution, if needed. Assume such a thing could be done, but don't really know...as I said, I'm no modder. One last idea; for those people that have the XXX mods loaded, the Bad Girls could also sell S E X ! One and two girl shows, or, they could offer to give the Dragonborn's pipes a good cleaning. Not sure about Uthgerd, but the other girls could make some REAL money... So, for what it's worth, that's my idea. Any thoughts?

I'm no modder. Have neither the skills or the temperment for this sort of thing, but, haven't we all wondered why there couldn't be an accessible early game fence in Whiterun hold at some time in our gaming? I can't stomach the Thieve's Guild, and waiting until speech gets strong enough to activate the appropriate perk just doesn't cut it. Recently, I went through every mod listed under the "Mercantile" category looking for what was available, and while doing so, this idea popped into my head. Suppose Ysolda comes to the realization that her ship's not going to come in while the S S Hulda is still in port, Uthgerd the Ugly and Jenassa have room, board and booze bills that far outstrip their earnings with blade, Carlotta has little to feed herself and her kid other than the left over veggies that aren't selling, Saadia needs to sock some money away against the likelihood that she'll have to go on the run again, and Njada, well she's got enough gold already, but she's just greedy...so... They partner up and open a small fencing operation in town. Many of the mods feature an underground setting with a trap door entrance leading to a small chamber lit by a few torch sconces. Borrowing from another modder's idea, they form merchant/muscle teams, say, Carlotta and Uthgerd, Saadia and Jenassa, Ysolda and Njada. Since they have lives other than fencing stolen goods, they only work 2 days a week, and only from 11PM to 1AM, small amount of gold, 400-600 each team. Their inventory is very limited; a few daggers, lockpicks, torches, poisons, themed potions and the recipes for such poisons and potions. Maybe some deathbell, river betty, nightshade, etc, a few bottles of skooma or Colovian brandy, some moon sugar, maybe Ysolda has some sleeping tree sap in her bag. You get the idea... The player gets access to a convenient fence, but it requires a little scheduling, and he/she has to take small bites of the apple. The girls have a decent amount of money to buy, in total, and 12 hours of store time a week is sufficient for all purposes. There are, of course, other contingencies to be addressed... (More to follow)

No Dawnguard, so no opinion on the last one... As far as the Forsworn vs Silver Bloods, there's not really a choice offered other than killing Madanach or not. I choose to let him live most of the time. Don't need the minor smithing ring and it's nice to have one Forsworn camp that I can stroll into without weapons drawn. That leaves the Imps and the Cloaks. Didn't really care for either, still don't. They both remind me of the Republican Party, Cloaks being the Tea Baggers. Not my favorite people. If I could, I'd screw them both over...but, I play Skyrim long term. When I'm playing, I live in Skyrim, in Whiterun. Whiterun is the only place I really like. The other towns are too one-horse, too close to the Thalmor Embassy, sewers (like Markarth and Riften) or just plain s*** holes, like Windhelm. Other than the palace and the inn, the place is just a giant slum, even before the Legion levels it. Comes down to Whiterun...if Whiterun is under attack, I'm defending, not attacking, my home. I ALWAYS join the Imperials...
