About xpoverzion

  1. This guys creature mods could be so much better if he didn't go overboard with certain characteristics. It's kind of like people that go overboard with saturation and contrast in photoshop. It gets to a point where it's not realistic, and immersion breaking. Many of the mods have overtly loud sound effects. Birds, raccoons, etc that make obnoxious sounds that you can hear from a mile away in the game. A green deer that has it's own obnoxious background music when you encounter it. AI aggression that is way over the top. Many of the mods had creatures that just chased you and stood right in your face. You move away, and they just hug your character everywhere you try to move. The moose especially, comes to mind here. All of this was badly immersion breaking for me, and not consistent with the rest of the AI, sounds, and feel of the game/ other creature mods. I had to remove all of his mods because of these characteristics. Sad too, because the concepts and artwork is top notch. My only advice for Mihail would be to significantly tone back the sound effects and AI aggression attributes for most of these mods. Otherwise I can't imagine a 100 pack of overtly loud, annoying, and irrationally aggressive creatures being found around every corner you turn in the game.
  2. I tuned off all the health and damage settings in Wildcat, but the problem is that wildcat doesn't offer much of a challenge when it comes to enemy melee AI. Wildcat seems to be more of a health/damage/injury altering mod than anything else.
  3. Hoping someone can help me out here... I have been playing around with various combat mods such as, deadly combat, ultimate combat, wildcat, etc.. I have been experimenting with having several of these mods installed at once, and one at a time. What I'm looking for is a combat experience where melee fighting is much more strategic in terms of having to use the sheild/sword, and having to pick your attack moments. Where enemies are much more adept at blocking and skilled with various offensive attack techniques. Some of these mods appear to satisfy this requirment, but the problem is that they also alter the damage/health dynamic in the game. I don't want to die from two hits, or a single power attack, and I don't want to kill the enemies the same way. Just looking for a mod/s that will greatly increase the melee combat strategy without altering the vanilla systems health/damage characteristics. Is this possible? Is there anybody with some experience with these mods who can point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!
  4. I don't recall Toccata being fully customizable. You might be referring to Vilja, or Sofia? edit.. Actually I take that back. Toccata does have ane extensive MCM menu.
  5. Toccata isn't bad. I believe you can adjust or toggle her healing powers.
  6. I appreciate the help thus far. I may try starting a new game with all mods disabled, then enabling all 500+ mods!! Not sure if that's the answer. Hoping there is some kind of cache, registry, or game data file that just needs to be cleaned/reinstalled. Does anybody know if installed mods in Mod Organizer store game data of any kind within their respective mod folders?
  7. I'm actually not using steam. Everything is installed on a dedicated SSD. I could try overriting the skyrim.esm and .bsa file with the original game installation files. I wonder if this is safe to do? It seems that Skyrim is storing data somewhere that is carrying over to the new game. Maybe it could be baked into the new save game file somehow?
  8. I'm having a problem, and i'm hoping somebody can help me out here. I have a heavily modded skyrim (about 530 mods). Everything runs perfectly throughout all the testing I have done. The problem is that when I start a new game, some aspects of the old game carry over to the new game. For example some outfits that I changed on followers during the previous game are still on the followers in the new game. I left the old game at level 13, and many of the loot item weapons were in the 25-35 strength range. In my new game, these looted weapons are showing up around 25-30 even though I am a level 2 now. The frost spider that I killed while getting the golden claw in the old game, is appearing already dead in the new game. I created a new bashed patch for the new game, and have run LOOT, etc, but elements from the old game are still getting carried over to the new game. Is there a cache that I have to clear, or files that need to be deleted from the old game before starting a new game? Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Mod Organizer, and no alternate start mods such as unbound, etc... Thanks for any help.
