  1. I've changed up his face a bit more (including the tint and other things), but for some reason the CK just wont export the face data. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the CK and nothing I do will make it so the CK will export the face gen data even though it says that it does it. Does anyone have any kind of solution for this?
  2. After a bit more fidling, and backtracking on some save files (gf 3 levels and 2 quests) I managed to get the face the way I want it and actually have it appear that way in game. Huzzah! The only problem is, there is a teeny tiny seam between the neck/body which is very aggravating. It looks like this. http://i.imgur.com/QOR6d0q.jpg My research earlier showed that some people also got this error, and that "setnpcweight XX" was suppost to solve the problem. Well I tried it and it did solve the problem! But it also changed the face color (again), but it did keep the eyes. It looks like this. http://i.imgur.com/CpUkGvw.jpg Is exporting the facegendata suppose to make it so that when I do set the weight it will keep the same face? ARGH. This is irritating. :s
  3. Yea, that was a typo. I've changed the eyes (because Derkeethus's eyes freak me out) and a feature or 2 of the face like the hair and one of the argonina stripes, or whatever it is. As a paranoid habit of mine, I always shut down the CK and restart it when I make major changes, so I don't think that's the problem.
  4. I've done that also. I expanded the tree as far as it would go. Actors > Actor > Actor > ArgonianRace > Male. I then selected Derkeethus (the NPC I'm modding) and hit CTRL + F4, waited for a sec, CK said it was done, and I hit OK. Went to the area in my data folder and still no facegen data.
  5. I'm working on some mods for a few NPC's and later will probably make a custom NPC. I do get the dark face bug when editing my NPC's and the only way that I've seen after some extensive research of the issue is that you have to select the NPC in the object window, hit CTRL + F4 to export face data and then wait till it says done, then hit OK. Then the data is supposed to be found in Data/Textures/actors/charachter/FaceGenData/FaceTint/YourPlugin.esp AND Data/Meshes/actors/charachter/facegendata/facegeom/YourPlugin.esp (where "Your Plugin" is the name of your mod). Problem is that after exporting face gen data many many times, it does not seem to work. I don't know if it is saving it somewhere else or something, but no matter how many times I actually export the data, it never shows up. This seems to be the only thing standing between me and the custom NPC's I want. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. EDIT1: My title is too long, oopsy. It should read "I made a mod for an NPC, now when it's not activated his face is the wrong color." Ok so here's my issue. I made a mod for Derkeethus. I changed up his skin color/eyes/horns/etc, basically I just changed his appearance to my liking. I created the .esp file, used NMM to activate it, and it worked great! This evening I decided that maybe the skin color I chose was the wrong way to go, so I decided to just deactivate the mod, Derkeethus would return to his regular color, I would figure it out later, and all woud be well. I was wrong. When the mod is deactivated, he appears to have his basic appeance and body color, but his face is a different shade of green and I have no idea why, I never made his face look like that at all. After some research, I saw a few places saying that if you did "setnpcweight XX" while targeting the NPC in question, that would change the face back to the correct color. Well it actually changed it too a 3rd color both while the mod was active and inactive. I also saw things about hitting "ctrl+F4" while selecting Derkeethus in the CK to generate some data, and that would fix it, but this has never worked. Here are some pictures. 1) Mod Active http://i.imgur.com/FcPYgKD.jpg 2) Mod Inactive http://i.imgur.com/4OMlX2C.jpg 3) Mod Active (After using "setnpcweight XX") http://i.imgur.com/R3T862X.jpg 3) Mod Inactive (After using "setnpcweight XX") http://i.imgur.com/ZlN2BBg.jpg Any help would be appreciated.
  7. A bit more detail, I suppose. I started finagling with mods today, so I downloaded the Nexus download manager and began browsing mods. I downloaded and installed 6 in total (IN ORDER). #1 HiAlgoBoost FPS Performance Accelerator 2 #2 Better Dialogue Controls #3 A Quality World Map #4 SkyUI #5 Moonpath to Elsweyr #6 The Dark Brotherhood Resurrection Part 1 I manually installed and manually removed mod #1, because it was not what I was looking for. I also removed SkyUI because figuring out SKSE was a pain, and i'm not too computer literate. Everything worked fine up until mods #5 and #6. By then i thought I had the hang of installing mods with the manager so I installed #5 and #6 with no break inbetween to see if the game worked correctly (i tend do that when I install new things, but the first 4 had given me no trouble, so I didn't bother). Now, for the crash details. The game itself loads up at start fine. I get the launcher, I click play. I get the Bethesda logo, and I also get the main loading screen. When I hit 'continue' and load up my last save, i get the loading screen, complete with my charachters level and the random loading tidbit. Then, just as I expect the save to load and begin playing, the game crashes, and I have NO idea why. I should also mention that when I was trying to figure out SkyUI and SKSE I checked out on how to make the original desktop shortcut launch the SKSE loader for skyrim, as to bypass having an extra shortcut on my desktop (because I'm anal retentive like that). After I un-installed SkyUI, I rectified what was done in that video, but still that could have something to do with it. Other than this I have had 0 problems with Skyrim, other than playing on a low detail setting to get some desirable FPS. Please help me!
