  1. So I got skyrim not to long after it came out... I have the DVD and it just about lives in the computer. I was wondering if there is a way to run the game without having to put the DVD in the drive all the time?
  2. MBWS Follower Mod The top line will take you the Nexus mod page for the MBWS followers. My question is why are there 3 different files -MBWS Follower - CBBE - 3 Follower version -MBWS Follower - SeveNBase - 3 Follower version -MBWS Follower - UNP - 3 Follower version How do I know what one I need and really why are 3 different version needed? I am new at this Mod'ing thing so this maybe a dumb question......sorry....
  3. ok.. thanks.... good info. I think, I shall just stick with playing right now and when I get board then I will start to MOD around, that way I am not screwing up over 200hours of game time..... I think I would cry if I loaded a home made mod and I lost everything.
  4. So with out beating around the bush, to much. I am a just a player of skyrim been a fan of the series since Dagger Fall. I have and use Nexus Mod Manager with only basic mods (Dwemer Armory) I have also have bought Dawnguard as well as HearthFire and have them loaded. I send some time on here doing some reading and decided to download the Creation Kit (The.Elder.Scrolls.V.Skyrim.Creation.Kit.v1.9.32.0) I have not loaded or done anything with it yet. But I just wanted to ask a few basic questions. 1- is there any chance by playing around with the kit that I can screw up my game? 2- in general how long does it take to put together a use able house and make it playable with in skyrim? 3- when adding a home made mod (like a house or cave, etc) is it bast to always add it to the bottom of the plugins list on the Mod Manager? If there is any advice please add it in. Thanks you all for all the work you do with Skyrim!!
  5. I am really new to all this moding stuff and really just toying around, I havn't even installed the creation kit yet. But I was wondering, I am using the Dwemer Armory mod and I think the creator did a super job with it. I do have some other ideas that I would like to try (making it smaller and more organized to my liking basiclly) Now with that being said, all the items I currently have stored in the Dwemer Armory, do I have to remove them and place them at the house I built in the game to keep them safe if I try to edit that mod..... (can one even edit a mod that one didn't make) Would it be easier to just start building my own armory?? just uncheck the Dwemer armory from the Nexus Mod Manager and start play with this creation kit? An input in this would be helpful, Again I am just toying with the idea and just starting out.
  6. sorry and thanks for the info
  7. So I formated my system, cleaned up a few issues. I reinstalled Skyrim (fresh install), Steam, and Nexus. I have my old games saved (backup the save file dir.) and I wanted to contiune where I was. I remember I was running a couple of MODs and the DLC's.... I can't remember what mods is that an issue? If I wanted to use an old save file is it just a matter of drag and drop into the doc/my game/skyrim/save and that is it run the program then select your file. thanks for any help.
  8. So I was going to download the BOSS mod program from: http://boss-developers.github.io/ When the program is done downloading McAfee pops up and says the files contains a trojan horse then I just delete it. Does anyone run this program, is it really that helpful? I have Steam and I have been using Nexus. I am not huge into MODing I may run only around 5 mods or there around. Also on a different topic. Harthfire & Dawnguard are called DLC (downloadable content) right? so are these something that I can add into the game using Nexus? Sorry for the newbie sort of qustions. I do have more coming (future posts)
  9. Super job on the mod...... two thumbs up....... can someone point me to the uninstall instruction..... I installed it manually without a manager.
