Simple idea but maybe technically hard to make? An AOE Active/Passive spell that extinguishes or lights up all lights around the character (candles, lamps, etc.) With this, you can be a cool shadow assassin where the light goes off everywhere you walk. OR a fire elemental who can light up all light sources by just walking past it.
