  1. Where did you get those neat little "I am an Adventurer and My color is Blue" siggies? I want! My main issue is that I build distant land, it says there are like five files missing - most begin with sg_(mill, etc..). Then, when loading the game, it says I'm missing some signpost, enchanted hair shirt(???), and something about leveled lists missing bats. I have no idea what or where these are - I crash to desktop, though, only about every 30 minutes so not a huge deal. Well, I did - right now I can't play because my graphics are all glitchy. Have you used TESTool? It helps as does Wrye Mash.
  2. Thank you for the suggestion. I did do as you suggested, but the problem is still there. The boxes weren't as big, but smaller; however, the image was still as bad as the picture. It was around 14-17 fps at the time. I am stumped. Hasn't anyone ever had this issue and been able to fix it? I hate the idea of having to reinstall and start the game over again.
  3. Here is an image from Vivec: http://i1303.photobucket.com/albums/ag150/Amelia_Fenoglio/MGEScreenshot001_zps8491755c.png Ok, I have just installed the newest graphics driver for Nvidia - I have Windows 8 64-bit. I have played the game just fine on this system before. I don't understand - I did a clean install of the graphics driver. I Mashed and also TESTooled it because I was getting doubling. Now, no matter which save I use, I get the above effect. What is interesting is that if I hit "Esc", the options menu comes up and can be seen just fine as well as the message "Quit Morrowind?" when I choose to quit the game. But the rest of the game looks just like this.
  4. Hi, I'm in Vivec and two quest givers - Jeanne and Muh Gei - dropped dead as soon as I walked into their rooms. I can't understand it. I never even got to get their quests. I have tons of mods. I was hoping maybe someone else has had this problem and I would have an easier time isolating the mod causing it. *hoping*
  5. OK, using TES Tool and TESpcd - those seem to be helping well enough. Rejoice! http://i1303.photobucket.com/albums/ag150/Amelia_Fenoglio/MGEScreenshot001_zps5887dcba.png
  6. Hmm, maybe you can show your load order so we can see what is installed - it could be a conflict or something like that
  7. Hi all. I have completely reinstalled my Morrowind and am working on reinstalling all the mods from scratch. First, I was shocked to see that there were .esps with the MGSO - I wasn't expecting so many mods to already be included. I had installed it previously after already having mods. That's not the point, though. What I'm here for is to ask about Wrye Mash - I use it for Oblivion extensively. What do I do to get it for Morrowind? Do I have to install it again but this time for Morrowind?
  8. Unfortunately, since I ended up reinstalling the game and then reinstalling all mods individually, I didn't pay much attention to what was on the old one. The current build is basically ground zero now. In that regard, none of this happened until after I reinstalled everything - I couldn't even get the game to run until I did that. I think I may have figured it out, though. It may have been an incompatibility between natural environments and all natural. I disabled natural environments but kept the natural habitat and that seems to be working okay so far. The game runs for anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours now between crashes, and since that is entirely normal then I am satisfied. :turned: As of yet, there are no more annoying yellow bursts everywhere. Also, someone pointed me to the FormID Finder, so that should help, too. I will be back if those don't work :)
  9. Thanks so much, I didn't even know that existed.
  10. I bought a new laptop and am transferring files from my old one. Ok, I had to reinstall my Oblivion and all the mods. I had tried installing the game and then transferring the mods from my other computer but they wouldn't work. Now, they are working (yay!), but I am seeing a really large amount of missing meshes. I mean I will look at a tree and it will have five of these missing meshes icons around it. I can't figure this out. It never happened before and I cleaned the meshes with TES4Edit, used Wrye Bash, I did everything as I did on my other computer. I don't understand where these missing meshes came from. They seem to appear mostly on paths, near trees and near buildings and they appear mostly in clusters except on paths, where they almost seem like patrol points by their placement. Anyone else maybe had this identical problem? It would save me time from having to troubleshoot, which I'm starting on now. It starts out like this for a few minutes: http://i1303.photobucket.com/albums/ag150/Amelia_Fenoglio/oblivion%20errors/ScreenShot1_zpsd9b3e06d.png and then this starts happening all over the place - usually where I am standing http://i1303.photobucket.com/albums/ag150/Amelia_Fenoglio/oblivion%20errors/ScreenShot0_zps46df6221.png and they are everywhere http://i1303.photobucket.com/albums/ag150/Amelia_Fenoglio/oblivion%20errors/ScreenShot2_zps0049b575.png http://i1303.photobucket.com/albums/ag150/Amelia_Fenoglio/oblivion%20errors/ScreenShot3_zps6f964e82.png
  11. Ok, I wiped everything out, reinstalled just Oblivion until I could get only it to run (turns out it was the documents folders .ini settings which I just deleted the entire folder, and the desktop composition compatibility issue). Then, I added my Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles and patched. It still ran (yay). So then I patched with the unofficials and it still ran (ok, the order is not entirely correct here as I patched oblivion when it was still just oblivion) And it ran and I played it for hours before deciding to move on today. Ok, history done. Now, I installed Wrye Bash. Then, I installed OBGE according to its readme (the most recent OBGE). When I went to Mash and selected Installers, it asked if I wanted to enable installers and I clicked yes. Some Stdout message appeared, not sure what it meant but I've seen it before and knew the installer would run anyway. I clicked out of the stdout message and clicked installers again and it scanned everything. It opened OBGE (I'm assuming that's what it did, it shows some stuff with a red diamond at the bottom labeled Textures). When I clicked the Textures diamond because I know red usually means something is up, it said it was missing shaders\unbound.dds. The rest of the OBGE categories, including the ==Last== at the top are all gray. Do I need to worry about this? Is this one of those Mash oddities or has something already went wrong? Should I continue and add mods? I searched the forums and didn't find anything that was about my specific issue - I apologize if this is already out there. PS - I right clicked the textures diamond and reinstalled the missing, now it has a green plus - did I solve an issue?
  12. Haha! I love this one! I will say this, though, I have played Morrowind and Oblivion on the console and it is much buggier than the PC versions. Also, there is no advantage of mods or patches. Not that I'm saying you should get PC, just making an observation.
  13. I killed all the Dark Brotherhood, their leader, and got the note while I was on the goblin army quest and when I talk to Helseth's second in command or whatever he is, he keeps saying that it isn't important right now. I am thinking I broke the quest, but maybe I just have to complete stuff for the guy before he will acknowledge that one, I don't know. So, yeah, I'm kinda going through the same thing. ((Is it considered necromancy if I'm the first reply? If so, sorry y'all.))
  14. You may want to read my little commentary on my CTD experiences. I recommend Wrye Mash if you aren't using it already - I was afraid it would be hard and all complicated but it was totally easier than expected. Plus they have a great quick start guide. Check your dependencies, too - are you sure you have all the necessary ones? Hmm, also, if you deleted any mods from the ones you are running now, then you definitely need to get Wrye Mash - it's a god send, really. Anyway, check out my post so you can get an idea of what you need to do, but their quick start guide pretty much walks you through it. If you had a mod previously installed and deleted it and are getting error messages for missing objects, then there is reason for it to be crashing. Also, there is a sticky about crashes to desktop on this forum that I totally missed, so thought I would direct you to that in case you did, too. Good luck! I'm sure there are people willing to help on here somewhere if you need it - I am (but I'm a total noob, heh, so be warned)!
  15. OK, further update - I can now run Morrowind with all of my mods (and there are over 120 of them) for a little over 3 hours before the game crashes! I am so happy with Wrye Mash - it truly is a miracle worker. I figured out (after reading more in depth with the tut) that I needed to use Merged Lists and after that I synced the load order of each save, and then loaded the masters, cleaned debris from each save, did repair alls, and updated the maps just to be safe. Best run ever! I love Wrye Mash!! Also, I did some tweaks that were mentioned on the tweak site that was on the sticky (I missed it the first time I posted - sorry all). Unfortunately for you all, I'm used to talking to myself on forums. He He. :teehee: But this is the last update. Thanks for ....hmm, well thanks :turned:
  16. Ok ok, I figured some things out and now it almost runs an hour again before crashing (yay!!). It turns out I didn't actually fix everything in Wrye Mash. I did a repair all on the save files and paid better attention to what was said and it turns out this Poorly Placed Object.esp was causing problems. I got rid of it, and then repaired all and saw what repair all is really supposed to do, which is exciting. I was able to start with almost zero error messages (on the save load) and it ran beautifully. I am not gonna look this gift horse in the mouth - it can crash every hour all it wants as long as I get to have my fun. Whee! However, if anyone knows how to get it to run stable (no crashes - lol lol lol) with mods ON VISTA then by all means please chirp in - although it looks like no one is gonna read it... Sys specs - Asus F50sf laptop Nvidia Geforce GT 220M Cuda 1 Gig Intel Core 2 Duo processor T6500 2.1 GHz 4 Gigs memory 3 hard drives with over 30 gigs free space on each (I have the game on 2nd drive, which has more like 50 gigs free) Windows Vista 32-bit Home Premium SP 2 I use compatibility mode (XP SP 3) and administrator mode.
  17. Hi all, I've been truly enjoying this modding community and have become addicted to installing mods and plugins to my Morrowind game. I was using TEStool for some things and then caught on through others' conversations that Wrye Mash was the way to go. So, I finally swallowed my fears and got it and used it and everything is spot on according to it (now that I've fixed the load order, saves, gotten rid of debris - of course). However, I'm unsure how to create my own esm with this program - that wasn't covered in the awesome quick tut they provided. Not sure if that is part of my problem. I know I'm not making much sense, please bear with me for a moment. I used to fall through landscape stuff and such but learned from reading mod comments by creators that this was the result of a corrupt save file - and they were right, which I fixed those issues with Wrye Mash. So, I fixed everything ok - check. Then, I ran mgeui and created distant lands to make everything mesh (not sure this is necessary but it made me feel bettter) - check Then, I opened MGSO Options, chose my prefs, and MGE 1.78 and applied, got the done bro - check. Run Morrowind - and CRASH within 10 minutes every time. It used to be I could go at least an hour before I crashed, and sometimes it would be a half hour, but this is getting ridiculous. What have I done wrong, I'm wondering. I'm hoping that explaining my method before this final run (I don't run distant land every time, for instance, but I do run MGSO Options and keep the script running while I play) will enlighten someone who knows more than me. I mean, I'm a total noob in this area of things.
