  1. Has anyone messed around with the combat style settings in game? I'm trying to figure out why my companions are just standing there for 3-5 (or more) seconds while some feral ghoul or other nasty literally chews on their face before deciding to start shooting. I've noticed the same thing in ranged combat, bad guys all over, I'm shooting like crazy, companions just standing around skygazing and doing anything other than shooting. Even when they are getting shot, they don't respond for a while. Considering that in New Vegas I often had a hard time getting a shot off before my companions, especially Boone with that sniper rifle, would be blasting the hell out of enemies it just seems weird that in Fallout 4, they just kinda stand there... I've opened up the combat styles, which I am assuming, perhaps wrongly controls NPC's reactions in combat but the only thing I am seeing that might fit the bill is under CSLR - Long Range there is a wait multiplier heading. But I'm not sure if this would be what is causing my companions to not do anything once combat starts. So, I figured that I would ask here and see if anyone has cracked the hood on companion combat and figured out why they just stand there for so long. I've got a mod that improves their accuracy, which is nice, they have even successfully managed to hit the ground now without gravity assist, and even the occasional building... if they are inside of it.... But so far I haven't found one that gets rid of that infernal pause before they decide, "Hey, I'm getting shot, maybe shooting back would be good" Any ideas folks?
  2. Hey, I just got a brand new 27" monitor, upgraded from a 20", so the game is looking a lot better, but I appear to have a problem I am not sure how to fix. Mainly the crosshairs, menus, and such no longer match up with the cursor. What I mean is, if I aim the crosshairs at someone and shoot them from the hip, the bullets actually impact about 2" on screen to the left of the crosshairs. If I zoom in with a weapon, even if the crosshairs are on target, the sight suddenly shifts about 2" to the left of where they where before. This is especially true of scoped weapons where the bullet impact point is wildly off from the center of the crosshairs. Same thing with using menus in game, I have to move the mouse around to try to get a menu option to turn green and usable, and the cursor does not seem to match up with where I am pointing. The new monitor has a higher resolution than the old one, 1920x1080 resolution as compared to 1680x1050 for the old one, but the screen resolution tab has nothing in it when I go into the . So, while my game looks great, it's still kinda borked. Help? Ermm... Nevermind, I'm an idjit, I had the resolution set to 1680x1050 in the fallout 4 config tool settings. Had to change that and everything is working. So yeah, I'm an idjit.
  3. Hey, I've had to make this account because my old account I tried to change the password on and know every time I try to log onto it it says I am using an incorrect password, even though I am literally typing in the same password I entered in the form I get from the e-mail. What's worse, is know if I try to re-set the password on my account, it sends the info for this account, not my old one, and I'm not sure how to resolve this. I've been a member for over 10 years on the Nexus and suddenly I can't access my account? Is there an account recovery method that I can use to re-set the password on my old account and delete this one?
  4. Hey folks, I screwed up my game and need some help fixing it. The game worked fine until I decided to run the Battletech Launcher executable that comes packed with the game. I thought all I was doing was ticking the borderless window mode and that was it. Unfortunately this was not the case. Seems there is a "option" for video rendering API that is automatically set to Direct Show. This is not un-tickable, which means that hitting apply on the program has completely borked my game. Because now every time I try to launch the game I get a cascading series of pop-ups asking me if I really, really, REALLY want to do that. Hitting ok on the pop-up just causes the game to start, stop, and then another pop-up asking if I want to do that. I have literally counted 18 pop up windows one right after the other that prevent the game from starting after screwing this up. If you hit cancel on the pop-up window, the game stops and won't launch at all. I have already tried deleting the game, deleting all local files in the Battletech folder, deleting the entire Battletech folder completely from my hard drive, re-installing the game and I still get that feakin' stupid A** pop-up preventing the game from launching. I am at my wits end here, this has literally broken my game and I have no idea how to fix it. Anyone have any idea at all how to fix this?
