  1. Of course, that's why the post here. The standard hunting rifle is a 308.
  2. Ok I've started playing again and this time I'm playing a guy with a gun. I got bored with the melee weapon build and the laser build. Anyway I'm can't remember where I can find the 5mm Hunting Rifle. Any ideas? In addition, I'm running into graphics issues with things like the desert rifle, snow rifle, hirimus, etc. Any idea where I get the full of mods to reinstall these or at least the supporting graphics? Thanks. Mike
  3. It was Friday early morning when I when put the question into them first. This morning is 72 hours without a response. Please don't try and defend their behavior. Ok, so on a side note. I went through and deleted everything with NVSE in the name. Then I redownloaded the newest version of it and extracted it to the main Fallout New Vegas folder and used Fallout Mod Manager to instal it. It seems that even though I'd been using the Mod Manager to install the newest version and delete the old ones it was still pulling up an older version. Seems to working now. Except the game is slower than I rember before the patch.
  4. wow. going on 36 hours and no response from Steam. They're as bad as EA Games.
  5. Last night I deleted the local content and then started the reinstall clean from Steam. I just tried to verify the local cache and got the exact same issue. I'll send some hate mail to Steam and see if I can get them to figure it out.
  6. I had the same problem happen with the footlocker at the foot of the bed. I figured it was because one box had a crap load of weapons and several mod versions.
  7. So if I can't validate my cache file on Steam, what's the next step the fix it?
  8. Well if he did and it's still not working it's the same issue I'm having. Running Vista 64bit here.
  9. Minor correction, it says: "1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired."
  10. Everytime I run the validation for "Steam cachefiles 0 of 1" it tells me that it can't find one that it'll acquire it. Nothing happens after that though.
  11. I'd already downloaded and installed that one. Just tried it again and no change.
  12. You are using a newer version of Fallout than this version of NVSE supports. If there patch to this version just came out, please be patient while we update our code. In the meantime, please check http://nvse.silverlock.org to make sure you're using the latest version of NVSE. (version=000100040000020D 010000A0) I attached a screen shot of the same thing. It said the same thing on the 1.8 version. WHen the 1.9 version came out, no change once installed. Is this new patch hosing anyone else? Any idea how to correct this? The game hasn't work since the 5th of July. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/403851-crashes-just-before-main-screen/page__p__3337034__hl__fitzlaughlyn__fromsearch__1#entry3337034
