My copy has been crashing since I bought the damn thing. On two completely different computers none the less. I tried tons of things. The most helpful thing so far has been to not use perk cheats. I have looked into hardware, software, codecs, and mods. Shutting off some of the codec drivers did help you can go here http://www.nirsoft.net/ and download (Installed Codec) it will show you a list of all the codecs on your system and lets you shut off everything that isn't made by microsoft. That let me play for around an hour before crashing, but by not messing with the perk codes I can now play for 3 – 4 hours before crashing. I hope this helps, I know I got sick of trying things, and was ready to give up.
