  1. yeah its vortex and there's no merge button as far as i can tell. right now 1.05 is overwritten by 1.06, but idk how to merge them I do have the new version loaded after the old version. Now the mod maker is saying that the mod manager should have automatically combined them but the pieces still wont show up

  3. I have both files for immersive jewelry (1.05 and 1.06) and although the jewelry shows up in smithing and I am able to craft it, if I equip any jewelry that wasn't already in the base game it does not show up on my character. There are NO purple textures/other texture issues- the jewelry straight up will not show up. When I asked in the comments how to fix it, they said to merge 1.05 and 1.06 together. I don't know how to do that I am at my wits end- I have been googling this for several days but the closest I could find to actual mod merging that didn't require having a good understanding of how to alter mod files was MergePlugins, however when I go into it to look at the plugins there is only one for immersive jewelry despite both files being enabled, and it looks like the mods are different from plugins. I don't know what to do and I am confused by all the different applications for altering mods and do not want to mess up my mod files. I am REALLY not good at this and I would like some help. :/ I am using vortex to manage my mods. TLDR: need to merge two seperate aspects of one mod together, dont know how to do that, need help

  5. Ok, FINALLY found the issue, it was a mod for children, which is odd bc that wasnt anywhere near the mod i was messing with. As for the one that the modder suggested merging I think i'll leave it for a bit. Thanks for the assistance!
  6. I will try disabling all my mods and testing one by one. It's just frustrating because I know they were all working before and nothing will tell me what has changed.
  7. Winmerge isn't an ESP, ESM mod merging tool It's a utility for comparing binary files, directories, text files etc, like the program I use called "Beyond Compare" It saves me a lot of time comparing a default ini file with one I've edited, or to restore changes from one file or another. Your loading problem was because of a couple of ESPs merged into something Frankenstien-esque you created with WInmerge that never had any possibility of working I didn't realize that. However I never actually 'merged' anything with it- I couldn't find where the two files I needed were, and when I did try it the program told me they were the same files. Would it have merged something without telling me?
  8. Okay, so I manually deleted winmerge (which i probably shouldn't have done manually as i deleted the uninstall file) and deleted all my mods and the game loaded, so it must have been a mod or winmerge. Still don't know which, but im just going to carefully redownload mods and see what happens. As for switching from nmm to vortex i had only had nmm for like, 2 months before they stopped supporting it which was annoying but i figured seitching wouldnt kill me. Thanks for the help!
  9. i have deployed my mods, my plugins are on auto sort and i have clicked the sort button on them about 1 million times. I can try disabling all mods, the only problem is i dont know which mods are the problem to try and isolate it. I'll try and uninstall winmerge, although I wasn't able to actually do anything to anything with it. Will come back with results.
  10. I've been playing Skyrim Super Edition recently again and started to mod for the first time through Nexus Mod Manager. After I was no longer able to open NNM I switched to vortex as the website suggested and redownloaded all my SSE mods. Everything was working fine until a couple days ago, when, frustrated with how a jewerly mod wasn't loading any new textures, I attempted to merge the mod and it's update. I downloaded winmerge for this but was unable to figure it out so nothing was merged. However, now when I try to open my game it with only go past the bethesda logo and with then stay on the dragonborn logo indefinitely while the loading circle spins. Googling it suggested that it may be due to a load order issue with my mods in Vortex, but I cannot seem to figure out how as I dealt with all file conflicts how it suggested me too. I tried deleting and then reinstalling all my mods and/or plugins but that also doesn't seem to work. I am not very computer literate and do not know what else I should be trying to do, but I want to play my game. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
