  1. Not quite sure how to describe this clearly, but it drives me bonkers when you push the reload button and your gun magically refills with its maximum ammo count every time. I've always wished there were some way to have games remember how many bullets you have in your magazines. Say I've got my combat rifle, with a 20-round clip in the gun and two full spares. I shoot eight rounds and reload with a fresh, full magazine. Now I've got a full clip in the gun, another in reserve, and a third with 12 rounds in it. I fire another 15 rounds and reload. Now I've got a full mag in the gun, and two clips with 12 and five in them. Hit reload again, and it'll load the 12-round clip, etc., etc., etc. I know it's kinda complicated, but it would REALLY make prolonged firefights more tense. Any way to do something like this?
  2. Heh! Thanks. And yeah, I played around with the Better Graphics mod last night, and it looks like the biggest changes are the color of the water (the mod makes it more of a dingy greenish-blue) and, like you suggested, brightening the colors some. Disabling the mod seemed to make faces a little better, but I'm not 100% sure yet. And yeah, we have a lot of fun with it. Sometimes to the point where we sometimes have to be reminded that dinner-table conversation should be something that appeals to EVERYIONE at said table. :D
  3. Okay, so maybe that's a little too ambitious. But my son and I are trying to figure out how--with the fewest mods possible--to get a more-realistic Commonwealth. I'm the sort of person who fired up Fallout 4 and went straight for survival mode, so I *really* want to see good, dark nights, some realistic weather (snow in winter!), and such. My son wants varied, customizeable weather... and a bazillion mods for Shooting All The Things. The goal is to get the best combo of weather, seasons, lighting, and sounds in the fewest mods, 'cause we're using the Xbox, and we hate having to go through and manually de-select and re-select our individually preferred mods every time we play. Right now, we both use the following mods: Smaller Sun; Sun Shadows in Real Time; Better Graphics and Weather. Honestly, I'm not sure what that last one does, 'cause I've never played the game without it, so I wonder if it's even worthwhile. Also downloaded are: True Storms; Seasons: Winter (Snow) and Darker Nights; Calamity Weathers; and Reverb and Ambience Overhaul. I'm not sure how to get the best effect out of those weather mods; I mainly want varied weather and dark-dark nights. Reverb and Ambience is one my son likes, but I think it sounds... off. Any better suggestions? And as an aside, what's a good skin-texture mod so that people don't look so glisteny during dialogue. It's not constant, really, but man, when it happens, it looks like my followers and I are oiled up for some naked wrestling or something. Phew! Lotta text, so thanks for reading it, and double-thanks for any suggestions!
