  1. You mentioned the DLL Plugin loader. You are referring to the replacement of binkw64.dll, correct? When you say you "tried to fix it" did you delete the new one and rename the old file back to its' original name? I couldn't load the game when I downloaded the bink file. I only did so because LOOT was giving advice and said I should get it, which turned out to be incorrect. I don't know how that will work if you downpatched (sounds like you did, can you confirm?) - I am not using that, so perhaps what I did will not work for you. I basically deleted both bink files, revalidated my game files, and then reinstalled it that way. And this was like a week before the AE version came out. And at first I did downpatch it with no success, then deleted the downpatched exe file and revalidated again to try using the Skyrim Lite Loader, also with no success... Ah ok. Wish I could help you more. I would at least go check and see if the validation replaced the file. Other than that, hopefully someone else here can give some tips because I'd probably be completely uninstalling, running ccleaner, making sure there were zero mods and reinstalling the game cleanly but I also have no issues wiping save files out or starting over usually since it just means more playtime. Sorry I wasn't of assistance, best of luck!

  3. Oof, that's probably a lot of my mods haha. Thank you, I know where to start looking and tracking now. I installed skyrim again when there was an update and I was like "I'm going to do a playthrough with no mods" and I ended up with 90 mods before I even started, idk what happened >.> Should have just kept with that idea. smh I appreciate your help, have a great weekend!
  4. I am using the AE version and I have NOT had any issues until today. I did not update any mods at ALL since last play (and didn't see the game updated in steam downloads either) and then suddenly, Vortex is giving me an error saying this version of SKSE is not compatible with AE - despite it was compatible a few days ago when I last played. So I updated SKSE and now the game loads, but when I try to load a save file or start a new game, it crashes to desktop. I am not very far into the game. I've only just made it out of Helgen and told the Jarl about the dragon, so I don't think it's related to quests. Is this just a thing where I have to wait for SKSE to fix their issues? I had no idea so many people were having issues until I started searching to find solutions to this. My game with 90 mods has worked perfectly until today. Edit: I found out how to check in steam when Skyrim was last updated and it apparently updated on the 22nd after I last played. So I guess whatever update they did broke the game or SKSE's version is broken?
  5. Hello again, I've read it all and so my understanding of where I went wrong was to use the existing bgsm files when instead, I should be finding the dds files, using photoshop to edit the file and saving the variants for Diffuse, Specular, Lightning and Normal. I'm making an assumption here, since the files I want to use are not fallout 4 items, and not all armor/outfits, that I don't need to use bodyslide, as it will already fit onto the 76 models. Is that correct? I'm going to play with this a bit, I think you've given me enough info that I can do some further testing and possibly get some tiny little mods working. Thank you kindly!
  6. Hi, I've never made a fallout 76 mod before. I've tried to find resources but I'm not having any luck finding one that isn't just trying to teach me how to install a mod I've downloaded. I fully admit to not having a clue what I am doing. I'm basically trying to reverse engineer other peoples mods to get an understanding. I may not even have the right tools. The tools I downloaded are: Fallout 4 creation kit (My understanding is this is for Archive2)BAE (Bethesda Archive Extractor?)Material Editor by OusniusBakaFileTool This is what I've done so far: Extracted .bgsm files from Seventy Six - Materials.ba2 using BAE. Opened the .bgsm files using the Material Editor and made sure FO76 was selected in the dropdown. Changed the "emittance" and the "specular color" on 3 different files for comparison (2 using emittance, 1 using specular), to see which one I should be using to make it glow a bit. Saved the files, separately in 2 packages. Package 1: Outfit + Hat, Package 2: MiniNukes.Used BakaFileTool to repackage them into a .ba2 file. I've tried doing this both with and without "use Archive2" checked. Settings has the Archive2 location linked.Added them into Fallout76Custom.ini under [Archive]. Is there anyone who can either give me a bit of direction or point me to a walkthrough that's geared towards creating this type of mod instead of something teaching me how to install existing mods? Thank you kindly
  7. This worked, thank you. Maybe the new version of skse64 isn't detected by NMM yet. Thanks :)
  8. Any idea why? Others have done it, I've seen it. Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 also show it in the menu. Example: This is taken from a video showing that someone else was able to get theirs working right away with no tricks:
  9. SKSE64 files are all properly installed via instructions provided by the developers. I can run the exe fine and my game works, however, I can't get it to show up in the menu through NMM. Does anyone know how to fix this?
  10. We would have to collect each and every bed and vegetable etc into one spot and then go back and put them where they belong again, it would be too difficult. Thank you tho.
  11. Came to post something like this as well and found a few of you already requesting it. I hope someone picks this up and also allows us to rename them and assign beds etc. Currently, every settler is dressed identical when I find the items so there's just no way I'll know who's assigned to what bed. Please someone make this!
  12. I didnt know I had to activate them other than how the readme said, sorry for that. I just finished watching both videos, thank you so much! Incredibly helpful, there is no way I'd have figured that out on my own >.> Going to try out a bunch of mods if I can just to get the hang of things, hopefully I can come up with something that looks good, thanks again all
  13. Edit: Okay when I view active mode files in wrye bash, it says: Active Mod Files: [spoiler][xml] 00 Oblivion.esm 01 DLCShiveringIsles.esp 02 Knights.esp 03 DLCBattlehornCastle.esp 04 DLCHorseArmor.esp 05 DLCMehrunesRazor.esp 06 DLCThievesDen.esp 07 DLCFrostcrag.esp 08 DLCOrrery.esp 09 DLCSpellTomes.esp 0A DLCVileLair.esp [/xml] The mods that I just intstalled were the ones listed by a user above which are: Tamriel NPCs Revamped Improved Facial Textures Improved Argonian Facial Textures Facial Textures by Enayla HGEC Body They were installed in that order because the guy who posted it, specified it to be done that way. I manually installed each one by copying the data files over so I suppose that would cancel out wrye bash from showing what I'm running. I am wondering if I should post pictures of how my characters faces look so people know what I mean but I assume you all remember the default appearance, how it was blotchy and the shading wasn't good etc.
