  1. I'd congratulate them by just saying "Well played" and walking away. All trolls in the future would be berated for not standing up to the epic trolls at Bethesda.
  2. I still do not get how making Skyrim multiplayer is as you say turning an apple into an orange. To me what makes a TES game is not how many players are running around. Its the ability to get immersed in this large vibrant world that you are apart of rather then your standard RPG where you are just running through a story. What makes the game appealing is the ability to do what you want when you want. You can explore X area, you can fight some city gaurds. You can become a thief, a warrior, a powerful spell caster. None of this is removed just by adding another player to the mix. Infact all it can do is increas your options as you can now for example raid a dungeon with 2 completely diffrent characters and it can provide a new level of strategy. You could even come up with some strange games to play with your friends. You could say your going to assasinated X NPC and it would be your friends job to stop you. The possibilites are vast. The game is a single player game because thats what it is. Making it multiplayer would have little effect on what the game is. The only real issue which I am willing to except is the development issue of time. The game couldn't be worked on forever and I could definatly see that adding multiplayer would have increased the development to a time frame that was not accetable and so it was dismissed. It is just a shame that it had to be that way.
  3. I never get this line of thinking. What is wrong for people to have an options to play the game with other people. No one is suggesting that this be turned into an MMO or that there should be no single player. Not only that but the idea of a co-op multiplayer would mostly be used by people that want to play with thier friends. If you are worried you friend is going to screw over your game why would you want this kind of friend to begin with? Are TES players the biggest shut-ins in the gaming world that they can't get the concept of wanting to play with your friends? At least the developers reasoning made sense in that they didn't want to take away from the rest of the games development to work on it.
