  1. It's not a "Hack". It's right there in App settings as an option .... modify, uninstall. Looks like a "Feature" to me. I mentioned it as a simple option, but also said to make sure Vortex and extension were fully updated, which a lot of users fail to check.
  2. I didn't say it should be. The Vortex updates work for me and the uninstall of OneDrive works for all my other games it causes issues for.
  3. Microsoft shouldn't be forcing it's OneDrive down its users throats who don't want to use it or choose to disable it. I had no issue with OneDrive on Windows 10, but something changed with Windows 11 and its very difficult to manage or disable OneDrive and it comes on at the worst time. It's not just Vortex and Starfield that OneDrive messes with. It's all my other games that place game files in Documents. Sims3, Sims4 EveOnline, and countless other games all which have nothing to do with Vortex. As a Gamer, I have no use for OneDrive on my Gaming PC, especially when it tries to back up all my GBs of gamefiles when I don't want to, so I chose to just uninstall a feature I have no use for and which creates so many issues. Problem solved for all my games.
  4. Simple solution. Just go into your Windows 11 App settings and uninstall OneDrive. I did that and problems solved. Also updated Vortex and extensions.
  5. Did you somehow set your Skyrim ini's to "Read Only"? That might prevent Vortex from switching out or editing the inis with the proper save location when you switch profiles. I know if your using Bethini that it does have a check box for making inis Read Only. Make sure to uncheck and disable that setting.
  6. I've been using the Explore and More : Interceptor 4.22 Collection https://next.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/collections/gtu5yw/revisions/29?tab=About. Been using it for the past couple days now and it works great. Just realize that every 3 months or so NMS has a big update that breaks most mods, so you need to wait until mod authors get caught up on updating or just don't use the ones that haven't been updated.
  7. But Vortex can install SKSE64 or SKSE. I've installed SKSE with Vortex in my game and its been working fine for months now. Follow the tutorial in Tools Setup: Script Extenders in the Vortex knowledge base.... https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Tool_Setup:_Script_Extenders Yes, it can install both, however, SKSE doesn't work for Skyrim Special Edition, and SKSE64 doesn't work with Skyrim LE They're not interchangeable I didn't say they were interchangeable. :) I was just pointing out that Vortex could install both versions of the script extender, since rmm200 had stated that it wasn't possible for Vortex to install SKSE64.

  9. Yeah, but I don't think any of the managers out there right now, including NMM, MO and MO2 can give you a complete mod list. They all just give you a list of plug-ins, even LOOT.
  10. Vortex actually does make two txt files for each profile you have. Loadorder.txt and plugins.txt Depending on your setup look under Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrim\profiles\ I have a shortcut to this Vortex folder on my desktop so its easy to find
  11. Well I'm not asking about MO2. This is the Vortex support forum and I'm asking about how Wrye Bash works in Vortex. Not interested in using MO2 thank you.
  12. Wrye Bash still deactivates mods, but that what I'm asking about. Will it mess with Vortex if I let it deactivate the mods. Will it affect switching to another profile if it deactivates the mods.
  13. Good to know to make the bashed patch After all my merges. I do have the standalone exe and the Mopy folder is in my Data folder, and I'm running Wrye Bash through the tools in Vortex. So when I make the patch, do I let Wrye Bash go ahead and disable the mods it merges in the patch? Vortex will be ok with that? Thanks for your reply.
  14. Can someone here tell me the best way to make a wrye bashed patch with Vortex and how it works across multiple profiles on Vortex? I've searched for documentation or tutorials on how to use Wrye Bash with Vortex but there really isn't much out there. I've asked on the Discord and got some good advice, but I still confused about the best method to proceed. This is what I was told on Discord so far: *** zip your bashed patch and install it in Vortex as a mod, reinstall it (making variants, not replacing) for each profile. Then let wrye bash overwrite it whenever you rebuild the patch. It'll do this automatically, you just have to keep the new one when prompted during the next vortex deployment Then I asked if it is it best to have auto ghosting on or off? *** Off If you let it ghost files it will break the association that Vortex maintains between the installed and deployed versions; Vortex will think the original file was deleted, and prompt you to delete it from the installed mod or restore it to the data folder next to the ghosted one. If you let it ghost files it will break the association that Vortex maintains between the installed and deployed versions; Vortex will think the original file was deleted, and prompt you to delete it from the installed mod or restore it to the data folder next to the ghosted one. So this all sounds great, but I'm still a bit confused about the best way to proceed. I've turned off "auto-ghosting" and "disallowed ghosting" , but what I'm not sure about is when your just about to run the patch, Wrye Bash shows a list of mods that it can merge, but says you need to disable them. If you leave them checked, Wrye Bash will run the patch then automatically disable the mods. So is it good to leave those mods disabled like that and will that confuse Vortex? Or do I need to uncheck the list of mods that Wrye Bash shows me that need to be disabled. In other words, am I supposed to make the bash patch without merging and disabling mods? After I make the patch, can I then use Merge Plug-ins to merge the patches that Wrye Bash wanted to merge? One last thing, I already made a bashed patch but I left auto-ghosting on, and it looks like the association that Vortex maintains between the installed and deployed versions were broken. When I purge, all the mods are removed from the Data folder like they are supposed to be, except for the ones that I had ghosted. Hope I haven't messed it up already, but how do I clean this up? Do I need to manually delete them from the Data folder and re-install the mods? I know I got a lot of questions here but there's really not much documentation or tutorials on how to use many of the 3rd party modding tools we have available to us. Any help or advice is much appreciated. Also any links to good tutorials or even a good Vortex modding group I could join. Thanks
