    Simple answer is, don't use the patches, they cause nothing but trouble. I deleted mine, went to a save that wasn't corrupted by them, soul absorbtion worked fine.

    For the first few days, it worked, then it didn't. Did bethesda do a bothced patch a day or two ago?
