  1. If you have the Hearthfire DLC you can grow ingredients in fertile soil after building a homestead, which respawn every few days after harvesting. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Ingredients
  2. Thanks for the reply. I've not edited any of my ini files and have reinstalled the latest patch on several occasions with the same outcome. I'm loathe to clean the mod as it is suggested that it is preferable for mod authors to clean their mods; although I may try it at some point. I've started another playthrough without Bert's Breezehome Remodel but with all the updated unofficial patches to see if I encounter any other problems.
  3. Whilst in Nexus Mod Manager to check for updates I noticed that there was an Unofficial Skyrim Patch upgrade available (1.3.3c); which I downloaded and installed. Each time I try to enter the cellar in Bert’s Remodelled Breezehome I get a CTD. Luckily I uninstall but do not delete old mods/patches so reverting back to 1.3.2c stopped the crashes. Load order: Papyrus log (file too large, first and last lines given): Given the large number of changes shown in the 1.3.3 changelogs I would like to be able to reinstall the latest patch; but not at the expense of the remodelled Breezehome. I'm not sure how to determine from the papyrus log what I need to do next; so all help would be gratefully welcomed.
  4. Sorry I seemed to have jumped the gun with this solution as it only provides a temporary fix for me. I switch off my PC when I am at work and overnight and each time that I attempt to load Skyrim from the SKSE launcher I get the Application Load Error; as Steam runs updates at each initial login. I cannot find a way of preventing Steam from applying these updates, I can only prevent automatic updates in the Properties of each game that I have on Steam. The only way around this, that I have found, is to put Steam in Offline Mode which lets me fire up Skyrim from the SKSE launcher even after getting the error whilst in Online Mode. I have yet to investigate what limitations this places on me but as Skyrim is single player I doubt that there is too much that is detrimental. Google searches seem to suggest that Valve are slow (or fail) to respond to support requests, so I am not confident in raising one despite the error seeming to originate from Steam.
  5. Hi, thanks for the feedback and I'm glad that it helped. Sorry for not mentioned the Steam logout but I had tried so many things, stopped recording each step of every method tried and mostly, just glad to be playing the game again!
  6. A few days ago my game stopped loading from the SKSE launcher, despite making no changes in the days prior. I searched for similar problems and followed various advice to verify game cache, run as admin etc but still received the Steam Application Load Error P:0000065432 when attempting to load from the SKSE launcher. Skyrim would still load from the TESV launcher but as I use Sky UI this was not acceptable. Using Nexus Mod Manager (which I used to install it) I uninstalled SKSE and searched for any residual SKSE files before installing again following Gopher's video guide. My game is now running as it should so it would appear that some form of conflict arose; possibly from a Steam update which I have set to automatic? Load order
  7. Thanks for determining the likely cause of my problems. I have deactivated the Unofficial Skyrim Patch as I cannot roll back to a previous version and don't seem able to find the download. Apart from the usual warning popup I have experienced little difficulty, with a couple of exceptions: Having "replaced" Belathor with Ysolda in the general store, she no longer appears there.Enthir's gold has reduced from 4000 to 500 septims. If these are the type of problems that I am likely to face, I am happy to proceed.
  8. Having never had to revert to a previous version of a game with mods installed (have never employed mods before Skyrim), would I be right in thinking that I need to: disable all modsrestore previous version of TESV.exelet Steam apply patch 1.9download previous versions of mods (deleted originals when updated)activate previous versions of modsinstall latest SKSE versionload game from date of original patchdon't bother with mod updates if game runs OK or activate new versions of mods one at a timeSorry for being a noob, but I'd like to get this right so that I can continue with my saved games (2 profiles).
  9. My game was automatically patched by Steam which caused the installed version of SKSE to fail; I launch from SKSE due to running Sky UI. Using NMM (updated to version 0.44.4 - now 5) to install SKSE Scripts (1.06.13) I noticed that some other mods needed updating, which are now: Sky UI 3.4Unofficial Skyrim Patch 1.3.1aUnofficial Dawnguard Patch 1.2.1Unofficial Dragonborn Patch 1.0.2Unofficial Hearthfire Patch 1.1.0The first problem was that I was unable to absorb dragon souls, rectified by changing the load order. However there have been other difficulties including: Bounty at Uttering HIlls Camp - unable to locate bandit leader and therefore clear from journal (not resolving by console command)Restoration loop glitch not workingHaving 4 pieces of apparel with 29% Fortify Alchemy equipped I produced Fortify Enchanting potions at 32%. On the next occasion with the same items equipped and using the same ingredients yields 19%Coffin not opening in Laid to Rest quest (corrected with console command)Giant marking time (walking on the spot) when killed - able to loot thoughMammoth falling out of the sky at Steamcrag CampI have a nasty feeling that all I can do is to find a save point prior to the patching/updating and test each patch or update; unless someone has a better idea?
  10. Having patched and updated various files, I didn't pay any attention to the load order until I was no longer absorbing dragon souls. Thanks Mieux
  11. Thanks for the reply. I have tried windowed mode, low and medium graphics options but the same problem exists. Also raised with DxDiag at the Bethesda forums. Until I find some form of resolution have reverted back to the Dark Brotherhood storyline. After completing the quests of the Dark Brotherhood storyline I revisited Blindsighted. On this occasion I didn't save the game prior to the entrance to the Irkngthand Arcanex and gained access. Happy to report that the Thieves Guild storyline is also completed.

  13. Hi, I am new to these forums but have been playing Skyrim on PC for the last couple of weeks (always a late starter). Having started the Blindsighted quest, I have defeated the bandits but every time I attempt to enter Irkngthand; the game crashes to desktop without warning. I have no mods installed and have used the command console once when running out of lockpicks! My system meets the recommended spec. There seems to be many instances of the game crashing to desktop but nothing matching this particular point of the game. John
