  1. Figured it out. It's the Axepriests Face Aches mod. However I don't know which part of the mod is making the "shhh" gesture. Even thou it lists them all, can't figure out which one it is. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43386
  2. When I started Honest hearts, none of them did that. It's only on Dead Money and the main game end with Oliver. My games a legit copy, sometimes these mods can mess things up, developers sometimes program in "troll code" for cheaters & stealer's . Wonder if modding messed things up an this is the case, game thinks it's a stolen copy? Still it's bizarre an annoying. Hev ever notice the doors in FNV have the "free mason" symbol on them (eg, Gomorrah Casino). Also noticed this "shhh" thing was some weird gesture thing some of these "secret society" weirdos do. Google Image Search "Illuminati Shh" or "Free Mason Shh"
  3. This could be a simple fix. What game file controls NPC behavior, particularly the General Oliver & Dead Money Holograms. Since they look like they share the same "body". If I just delete that file an then Steam will automatically reinstall that particular file from their server. Should fix it
  4. DO NOT USE: This mod corrupts the vanilla game files even after uninstalling it. It makes NPC's in the game like General Oliver & the Holograms & Dean Domino when you meet him in the theater in Dead Money DLC make that annoying SHHHH sound & hand gesture. Seems they all use the same body an the game gets confused. Might as well add my review of it here as well. PROS: 1. Awesome quest to unlock home, great puzzles. 2. Can move entrance anywhere you want. 3. Voiced computer system. 4. Junk Incinerator 5. Option to turn on or off the quest to get the home or the need to refuel the place. 6. Big display for meds & water. 7. Ammo & Chem boxes are nicely labelled an easily accessible. 8. The Magazine rack also holds books. CONS: 1. Not all ammo is automatically sorted. This really bugs me. 2. Not all food & drink is automatically sorted. same stuff the Hidden Bunker doesn't see. 3. Drained energy cells/flamer fuel are not sorted into "shells" container 4. The Weapon wall sometimes only will display the "unique" version of a gun. Eg. "This Machine" but not a standard "Battle Rifle" or "That Gun" instead of a regular "5.56 pistol". 5. No "repair" feature on the crafting bench. 6. Mannequins in display room make annoying "shhhh" sound an even make the shhh gesture however it's rather annoying to hear "shhh" all the time when I enter the room. Some may think it's cute thou. I think they only do it when they aren't displaying anything. 7. No "Power Armor" locker, it's sorted in "Heavy" locker. 8. Not all junk items are sorted, most are left in your inventory. I assume the home intends you to use the "incinerator" at the entrance for such items. The incinerator feature turns junk into scrap metal an other stuff. 9. BUGS: 1. Texture glitch on mod's unique weapons. No biggie thou, don't plan on using them.
  5. So far 29 are found. However the quest is still open as of 2016. So are there more? In Alphabetical order. Billy the Boomer - At the top of the tower at Nellis. Must go through the new building in nellis from the interiors mod to reach it. more info once I get the buildings name. Bozo the Clown - in the South Vegas Ruins, in the Neon Sign yard, next to the B&K Cleaners Sign. Colonel Klink- on a cliff to the left of the remnant bunker. Follow the cliff edge to the left as you face the bunker entrance. Go to the top of the hill and look in the first depression by the cliff top. Corporal Punishment - in the lower half of the Graveyard at Camp Forlorn Hope. He is next to the cliff against the edge of the hill. Easiest to find in the daylight Festus - In the back of one of the sunset sarsaparilla trucks out by the sunset sarsaparilla factory. Fire Marshall Bill - Searchlight, at the rear of the Fire Station, behind the small broken walls. Floyd - NCR Sharcropper Farm, in greenhouse under planting box near Camp McCarren fence Genghis - Red Rock Drug Lab, in 2nd small trailer on right as you enter the camp Gomer - On the right side of the El Dorado Gas station, between the building and the large gas tank. Happy Hour - Behind the Gas station on the hill in goodsprings. Festus - In the back of one of the sunset sarsaparilla trucks out by the sunset sarsaparilla factory. Officer frendly - out front of the Nevada highway potrol station, in a bush Otis- in Gypsum Train Yard behind a dumpster beside the main building. Beware the Deathclaws. Party Time- in the repconn test site in the rubble on right far side of the building, rubble pile is past the rocket and though the arch. P.B.R - In freeside, by the north gate. The is a building in behind Genaro, the meat salesmen. The gnome is behind the building in a open dumpster. There should be meat or a body in front of it, if you have NVB I installed. Acroding to cucklesteel, He was moved. Private Ryan - this is in bolder city. it is outside on the right hand side of the bakery where you meet the the great khans who shot you. Ranger Rick - In ranger station charlie, over near novac. This gnome is behind one of mobile homes, between it and the wall, I think on the left side. Ralph - inside Railcar on broken bridge at the edge of Crescent Canyon Sgt Schlitz - Samson Rock Crushing Plant, 2nd Floor outside on roof balcony Tanto - On the second story of the burnt and gutted out farm over top of the ant mound. The Lone Ranger - is In Bonny Springs, in the corner of a destroyed house on the left side as you enter the main street. Should be the one next to the intact building about mid block. Uncle Fester - Black Mountain, Left side at edge in the Radar Dish Shelter Whisky Dick - In Primm, on the highest point on the roller coaster. I used TCL to get to it. Willy the Wino - at the Crashed Airliner Site, in front of the large bolder just behind the honey mesquite tree
  6. Nasty bug with these player homes, they never get companions right. Currently using the Hidden Bunker home http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55548/? Where the weapon rack is, companions sometimes get stuck in that wall an this time since I just got the light machinegun, noticed she knocked the gun off the wall, well s***. I picked it up, put it back in the stocking system, then used the "stock weapons" function an it just respawns on the floor, or anywhere it last was. This home is the worst for companions, they are constantly "respawning" at the entrance because they fall through the thing. As you are moving around they fall through an keep showing up at the entrance, so it's really bad mesh work. Other Bugs: Bad lighting in entrance but that could be my ENB Some of the ammo boxes (eg. 9mm) near the back wall and to the side can't be highlighted with your cursor so you can't pick them up, it's only a few but it's annoying Other Things I noticed: No .357 magnum on ammo rack? Flamer fuel won't stock, how much is required to meet one showing up on the rack, currently have over 1000 flamer fuel. CONFIRMED - I used the cheat menu to stock the ammo rack, the fuel only needs 12 an if you take any off the rack an select stock ammo, it's the only one that doesn't go back on the rack. Nails? Only Mods I use that may conflict with anything is "Precision Collision for Clutter". But that author states "Weapons Have Been Removed from the mod temporarily do to messed up Iron sights" so I doubt that's the cause http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54455/?
  7. Actually it's the "Lutana plugin" which is necessary for the JSawyer Ultimate Edition, because I found this written on it's Mod Page. Controller DirectInput Emulation: DirectInput emulation modes enable controller input with mods that normally require the keyboard, such as Project Nevada. Open the Sleep/Wait Menu (default: BACK button) and press the X button for KEYPRESS mode or the Y button for CONTROL mode. To disable emulation, press the LS button (press the left stick into the controller). A notification will appear upon closing the Sleep/Wait Menu when the emulation mode changes. KEYPRESS MODE: In this mode, all controller buttons also register as keyboard or mouse input as mapped below. If a mod has configurable key inputs (e.g. GetKeyPressed in MCM menus), you can configure them using the controller buttons. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55399/? So when I use the sleep menu, something registers wrong an that bug appears. An it also happens if I use the wait menu (same menu really) but instead of pressing "escape" to get out of it OR wait by selecting wait (W), if I exit by using "Press E" the bug happens. So there is a mix-up with my controller/xpadder setup conflicting with Lutana. I tried using the instructions to "cancel" this mode but it crashes the game.
  8. When I sleep, after I wake up an leave the menu "Dinput started" or something shows up on the upper left corner of the screen. So it's definitely a gamepad issue. My Nyko Airflow controller doesn't do this but it's a clunky controller with rigid analog sticks, can't snipe with it.
  9. I de-activated PC control an switch to Gamepad control but still happens. So it must be the RB button (Vats) and the LB button (crouch)
  10. Both the Left Control & V key on the keyboard don't do anything to activate when it does start to happen, assume it's the Gamepad somehow.
  11. It doesn't appear right away but after awhile any time you press the Crouch Button (Left Shift) this appears Brightness Contrast Saturation An when you press the Vats button (V) this appears Green Yellow Blue etc...... So now every time I crouch or press vats these two displays come up, it's annoying, but nothing in the Imaginator menu on how to turn it off. Currently using a Xbox 360 PC controller with Xpadder They look to be part of the same program/mod. I tried searching the MCM menu but no mod installed has a hotkey listed that would do this. Thought it was part of Dynavision since it would be the only mod that would have this menu showing up. I believe it's the "Imaginator' mod, since it's the mod that controls these attributes. Can't find the menu for it thou in Dynavision.
  12. Bug traps your follower, an no way to get them back. console command "Moveto player" does not work but "player.moveto" does. You can transport to the follower, but once you fast travel away from that spot that follower stays. Asking them to follow does nothing. Niner & Willow follow but not Veronica WTF!? Looks hopelessly broken, will have to reload save an start again staying away from that area. Somehow while following me, character got sucked into the void. This happened a lot in the vanilla game, the environment is so badly designed that traveling over the hills will result in vanilla NPC's randomly dying or getting lost forever. Image attached.
  13. Confirmed on XRE cars. Installed it an WOILA, there it is again. Just started my new game an after I knew it was gone, installed XRE cars an it came back. Thought it was the new Nexus Mod Manager, it had to uninstall then reinstall all my mods but I remembered doing a test character an seeing that area un-jagged. How I fixed it. Uninstalled XRE cars, reset the FalloutNV.ini file to default (I always keep a backup copy), uninstalled then reinstalled NVinteriors to reset any LOD stuff. Then played a save file before the bug an everything is fixed. Stay away from XRE until they fix this, who knows what other terrain bugs are present. Someone notify the modder or whomever is authorized to work on XRE, this bug has been around for quite awhile.
  14. Had exact same issue, fixed it. Could not be a Archive Invalidated issue because I had Succubus race an it rendered fine as well all the other mods that use AI. Turns out it was a bad install of Lings Coiffre which affects the type 3 body (did not overwrite Fallout Character Overhaul/Redesigned3) properly. I mucked around until I uninstalled it completely a few times, then reinstalled it an told it to "overwrite, yes to all". Then that bug disappeared an rendered normally. One of your other body altering mods is conflicting. So since there are so many out there (I got over 7), the only thing to do is uninstall everything that affects body meshes & what not an then reinstall them one by one checking each one as you go for issues. Should be no issues with FCO for me, as long as it does not affect the faces/head in any way, hate to see a NPC with a messed up glitchy head down the road. That's the trouble with these body replacers, nothing to do with load order, it's install order an you have to figure out which mod to install first, an which one can overwrite files of another safely, so pinpointing a problem is a gamble. For Example I had a nasty "jagged mountains" bug, turned out it was a glitchy AWOP install. I uninstalled it because I could not get it to work properly with my other mods. So when it came to pinpointing the problem with the mods I had, it was a long haul because even when I uninstalled all mods that affected LOD, it was still there. Had to uninstall everything an in vanilla there was no bug, an when I reinstalled everything still no bug, was confused. Doubled checked NVInteriors to make sure the file downloaded 100% (that's a common problem, always make sure to check your file downloads) but they were the right file size. Figured AWOP corrupted my LOD an only a complete uninstall of all everything fixed it. Conflicts, conflicts conflicts, you can't have it all.
  15. Had exact same problem, Fixed it. It's definitely a LOD issue. No LOD patches nor any of the un-official patch mods worked to fix it so don't use them. I uninstalled everything via Nexus Mod Manager with "uninstall all mods" option (kept track of my load order), the glitch disappeared in vanilla. So I then started to reinstall everything an did a test character an double checked between every series of mod installs (character alterations, sfx, textures, etc). Glitch was still gone an I just had NVInteriors left, I re-downloaded everything even thou the file sizes were the same (that's a common problem, a file download that does not finish an is 1mb short yet still installs). Installed NVInteriors an no glitch, so either it was a file corruption on NVInteriors OR more likely A world of Pain (AWOP), because it was a buggy install, so bad I gave up on it because it crashed on startup an I could not deal with all the conflicts. AWOP must have permanently altered my LOD because even when I uninstalled NVInteriors during my first bug check the glitch remained.
