  1. Hello, I've created a few new followers for a house mod, they move about the interior cells as they should. Now, 2 of these follower actors should be restrained before they become followers. In other words I'd like one of them to be restrained to wall shackles until I ask them to follow me and the other to stay put in a dungeon cell I pieced together with statics and a door. What would the easiest way of going about this be? Does any one have a rabbit hole I can follow to get started at least? Thank you for your time, Knappy
  2. Also maybe this is bold of me to assume, I imagine you like to understand completely how something works before working on it? I have a similar approach to things in life if so. Wing it my friend. See what happens and create MANY back-ups and keep your saves clean. Good luck! Oh, also take notes of the steps/changes you make. Assuming the little ditty at the end of your posts is a legit diagnosis, perhaps our minds are not so different. :)
  3. Yes to both actually, though there could be issues if quests in the game utilize the original static barrels in any way. To quickly do it you could pretty simply use the replace function in CK. I wouldn't change all of them though, I just wouldn't. If there are certain ones you need changed, probably wouldn't hurt. Though ask another question if you're thinking of some specifically.
  4. If I've added lets say multiple slaughterfish do I need to build my own form list to reflect that? They do spawn using the standard list but they don't swim anywhere despite having a fully navmeshed area. They just kinda sit in one spot and squirm. Tutorial in which I followed to get as far as I have was the one DarkFox posted up a few years ago. Thank you for your time,
  5. I created a new container with a custom mesh/texture, it acts as it should with the exception that it moves as if it were a movable static? Vanilla chests, containers etc. do not do this in game, why are my custom containers doing this? Am I missing a ticked flag or something silly? Thank you for your time, Knappy

  7. Thank you for your time you 2,my graphics card won't do it. Even the upgrade for the unit wouldn't do it. Someday maybe I'll be able to afford another rig
  8. Hello all, I just reinstalled Skyrim on my system for the first time on a different rig. For whatever reason I cannot get the my framerate above 8-10.... there are no mods activated :sad: I don't know what else to do, I've tinkered with both .ini files but maybe im missing something.... Thanks for any suggestions :smile:
  9. My best suggestion for the harmful water is to use the .nif from your choice of water and reimport it as a trap effect? As for jumping and the navmesh I don't think it would matter if it were touch or not (beth) has navmesh islands. However I have no idea how you would get an NPC across such a jump. Keep in mind creatures/nps only need the navmesh. Pcs do not.
  10. yes, it is on for all of the frame work, it has to line up for the roof and wall pieces to fit correctly
  11. Ok I am trying my damnest to use the shack frame pieces to build a custom shack. For whatever reason (maybe I'm challenged) I am not having any luck getting the pieces to fit together correctly without a whole bunch of clipping. I have even gone so far as to duplicate the originals and then turn them 180 degrees and set is side by side hoping that would help. I have been trying for 2 days to get these pieces to fit correctly. What is wrong with me? Any advice for using these pieces? Anyone, and before you ask yes it is a mildly complex frame structure I'm trying to build. This is making me feel completely inferior! Thanks in advance, Knappy

  13. I am a bit lost with what I am working on now. I am looking for way to make 2 or more certain NPCs spar in my mod. Very Much similar to the sparring Companions in the grand feast hall. Honestly I am not sure where to start. I looked through some old help files on TES and found some info from Oblivion that helped a bit but only took me so far. Any input appreciated.
