  1. I had a topic like this a little while back about windows 8 and NMM and I had problems but I think it was more of the version of NMM OR if i used SKSE. I havent tried to do it anymore until I build my desktop, my laptop isnt worth the fight anymore. After I got it to finally play it crashes ten minutes in and I think its either my computer can't handle the game or something to do with windows 8 cause I have heard of skyrim not playing nicely with the operating system as it was not designed to play on ti.
  2. I wouldn't think I'd be the only one to get this bug but I haven't seen any other cases of it. Basically I bought skyrim legendary edition and installed mods (a lot but not many that could affect this, I'm trying different ones to see what could be the culprit now) but when I start a new game right away I can tell some mods are in affect by the graphics and heart rate monitor message. But I slide off the carriage like butter and as the action sequence carries on I'm stuck at the beginning floating in mid air with a text saying you can't go that way over and over. I've tried many different things like alternate start but it was REALLY weird for me and tried getting a saved file but as soon as I loaded it, I was in a tavern and I could never leave, every time I left it just brought me back to the tavern. So I want to stick to basic, I actually want to go thru the tut again. for fun.
  3. I have windows 8.1 and although I just installed skyrim legendary edition and am modding it currently. I have Nexus mod manager, Fallout 3, Vanilla Oblivion, and Morrowind + some other games. And they work fine. I have some issues here and there but nothing that wasn't easily fixed. I had more trouble when it was just Win 8. But that may have had to do with the mods I had. Theres a skyrim mod that I cant remember the name of but it supposedly fixes x64 and windows problems with skyrim also increasing the memory able to use so maybe search on nexus for it.
  4. Hi a user here named Ejvo25 made a shortcut to the skyrim nexus and I really like using it for quick access to the site. Saying this I wanted another one for nexusmods.com, while tinkering with properties I was able to make one. And knowing how to do this (which its pretty simple nonetheless) I was wondering though if people would want me to post shortcuts to different nexus sites.
  5. I seriously think you should team up with skywind http://morroblivion.com/forums/skyrim between your mod and their mod I'm sure theres areas that both of you have made but the other hasn't so It would be logical to mesh the two together
  6. Kahjiit http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26445 and Argonian http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26671 Those are the only two made so far.
  7. Heres some mods Mossy Floor http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/30120/ Better Landscape Textures http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/679/ Better Landscape http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4863/ And theres some snow textures on the nexus that improves snow too. Next time just peek through the nexus cause they're kinda easy to find but I hoped I helped at least!
  8. Hey I thought I might share an Idea here, I think it would be great if there was a site or just a page for utilities from all the nexus sites on one page. Cause I know many contribute to many different games such as BOSS for example but like I wouldn't ever look on the witcher or dark souls site cause I don't have them but maybe there would be a program that would make my games run better.
  9. I couldn't try. The launcher won't start so I can't change the settings. THOUGH at the very moment I am using a texture Optimizer program called Ordenador. Hopefully the textures will still look good cause its changing their size dramatically but if it works then its worth it right? I'm kind of considering repurchasing it though cause I bought a used version off of amazon maybe the last user screwed something up idk but the legendary edition is around the corner and I may just buy that new so I won't have any more problems. I just wondered why the game is giving me a hard time even without mods. I know its a legal disk and I registered with steam so idk. Edit: Dug a little deeper into windows 8 and found my specs at least some: AMD A6-4400M APU with Radeon HD 7520 Graphics 2.70 GHz Installed memory RAM: 4.00 GB (3.47 usable) 64bit OS, x64 based processor HP Truevision HD
  10. Sigh I'll try on low graphics but will that hinder or blur my mod textures?
  11. The game recommended on playing on high settings.
  12. I find this a very great idea and I actually downloaded this before I got on this forum. But the program crashes as soon as it tries to load skyrim.esm.
  13. I found a site that I think is closely to my pc http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c03528151 though I have a 500gb hard drive not 320 so Idk how close it is maybe I just have a newer version but I thought it would give some perspective to help.
  14. Ok first off I want to say sorry for taking so long to reply, I am grateful your your guy's help. I have a Pavilion g6 duo core, 4gb ram, and HD graphics card. Thats all I know, since its windows 8 its hard to find all specs and there are multiple g6 laptops out there so its hard to find the right one. Now I have a lot of mods and including HD graphics, Skyblivion, Skywind, SKSE, and I reached the max plugins though I keep it at 254 instead of 255 just so Nexus mod manager doesn't glitch up (which it does at 255). Thanks!
  15. First of all once i click on the icon the game doesnt start for another 10-15 min and I'll be doing something else when all of the sudden the game will start. Then I also have a problem starting the actual menu. (i.e. the play, options, etc)
