  1. Hi everyone, I've been wanting to create mods (armour) for Skyrim Special edition and found this one: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_1 But it simply says SKYRIM. Is it the same tutorial for all Skyrim editions? Does anybody know of a more accessible tutorial or guide?. Thanks!

  5. Hi everyone, Quick question, im having some issues trying to figure out how to flatten my uv maps. It doesnt matter how i mark the seams, the result is always like this: https://imgur.com/a/UNdEVqH Ive found some videos on youtube but some terminologies are unknown to me and some steps are taken for granted during the explanation so i cant keep up. BTW im using Blender 2.49b Thanx!
  6. Hi everyone. So I have a new rig and wanted to continue my modding adventure but something seemed off when importing textures to nifscope. Basically i did the usual. https://imgur.com/a/IVHnb8F -.tga from blender -open in gimp -put some colour -and exporting (see images). But when choosing the texture in nifscope and incidentally appearing on screen they appear grey. I tried exporting a simple pattern (without the uvmaps) and it happenned to work, with colour. XD Maybe i'm forgetting something but i don't know what, any help would be great. THANKSNote:Already tried with dtx5, dtx3 and dtx1 when exporting from gimp but the same happens.
  7. Hi Guys, I'm having a bit of an issue when putting on the clothes created. Everytime I equip the clothing indoors the textures show perfectly fine but when i go outside during day time the textures disappear to the point where I can only see the character as if it wasn't wearing any clothing. As i said above i'ts clear that textures disappear when touched by light but show perfectly fine when there's obscurity. Here are the settings i use when I'm on nifskope and my choices when creating the _n.dds in gimp. https://imgur.com/a/xxLE3Ks If it helps, the only exporting settings i use when saving the dds and _n.dds files are just "createmipmaps". Thanks for your time.
  8. Hi everybody i'm stuck with a certain issue in geck when creating armor for New Vegas, let me go through my process so far so we can avoid misunderstandings. BTW is my process correct? XD Modeling process: The usual process, select clothing shape from base body, duplicate, add materials (New - Add new - map input - uv - textures button - image). Mark seams, save uv map image. Finally double "A", CTRL + A - scale rotation to obdata. Done Import and Export settings: https://imgur.com/ebXKWMS https://imgur.com/dmBsIkv After that I go to nifscope. Shader Type: Skin for skin and default for clothing And shader Flags just copy the same as an ingame clothing. Finally attach the dds and _n.dds files from gimp. The Issue comes here when i get to geck and this exclamation mark appears when trying to add the armor. https://imgur.com/eBiqCKT Thanks for your time.
  9. Start by importing a human body mesh from the game, either male or female depending on what gender of outfit you are making. This will get you the armature (aka skeleton) as well as the body mesh that you want to mold your clothing around. Create your outfit. You can use the option to create bone weights automatically. This kinda works, but it tends to have a few issues. I usually end up needing to go through the bone weights manually afterwards to fix the things that it doesn't do right. Thanks for your reply sir it's detail was what i was looking for, i just want to make sure of a couple of things so far: 1.My import options (female in my case) are as follows: https://imgur.com/a/7lH1c3o 2.Should i erase the bones imported with the body at the start and re-import them with the clothing and body selected to relate them as a whole before exporting? 3.I tend to copy the bone weights from the body i imported selecting both the clothing and the body at the same time and selecting "Bone weight copy" is that ok? Thanks again sir.
  10. Hi everyone, well, as the title states i can't get to make one single successful mod. I've been reading this guide http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Fallout._Part_1 over and over, I've gone through the same steps for a month and i can't seem to make one single pair of pants appear in the game, at this point i'm kind of giving up but i like the game so much and as a member i feel the need to upload some ideas to the nexus mod page. The problem seems to appear after the model has been made and start setting everything up in nifscope, i swear i'm not lazy i've tried and tried but i can't seem to get it right. From export to import settings going through textures and geck placement...i don't know, i'm doing something wrong but i don't know what exactly. I don't know if there's an updated version of apparel making somewhere or if there's some charitable soul willing to explain it to this noob step by step, it would be very apreciated. Jeez people are making panties and i can't make a single pair of pants work!!!!!...ok i'll let it there sorry.
  11. I'm sorry but where should i download the masterlist to?
