  1. Tried copying the vortex directory from roaming into the NMM directory as well. No dice there. Wasted an hour copying 45 gigs for no reason. Basically, use Vortex at your own risk. There is no going back. At least with NMM, you can upgrade to vortex. You can not downgrade from vortex.
  2. Nop, doesn't work either. The folders created by vortex aren't able to be dropped into NMM via file transfer. Whatever. Back to square one I guess. Another 3 days of sorting through 15k mods and downloading them via NMM I suppose. So happy I used vortex.
  3. Got it. So I can simply dump the vortex mods into NMM that way. Thanks. That's all I needed to know.
  4. Lets start again. Vortex broke my game. I'd like to go back to NMM, since it is the MM I'm most comfortable with, and has the accessibility I am most familiar with regarding troubleshooting mod conflicts. The only more accessible means of troubleshooting mod conflicts, to my knowledge, is directly dumping the mods into the DATA folder, which is a time consuming process, requiring multiple back-ups for when s#*! breaks. I gave Vortex a shot, and downloaded some 400ish mods to it. Realizing my mistake, I don't want anything to do with vortex, however, due to the quatntity of mods downloaded, I'd like to just be able to move them over to NMM instead of having to find each one individually, and download them to NMM instead of Vortex. In other words. They are already downloaded to vortex, I dont want to redownload them to NMM. There MUST be a way to redirect the path so that NMM can access the mods downloaded to vortex, allowing me the opportunity to use NMM instead. Is what I am saying still unclear?
  5. Yes. I understand how to add a mod from file to NMM. That is not, nor has been, what I am asking. Again, allow me to reiterate. The mods I have installed to the Vortex directory, are not accessible by NMM. How do I access the vortex mods via NMM. You literally just told me how to add a mod to NMM as a file, rather than via the NMM downloader. That is not the issue at hand.
  6. Great response. I understand vortex may be easier to use for you, and if it takes less effort, and does the work for you, good. Again, I will say, I want to go back to NMM, however, the mods I've installed to vortex are lost to NMM. You wrote a lot, several paragraphs worth, but did not address my actual issues. Good for you, if vortex makes it easy to mod games. I'm not looking for easy, however. I prefer the interface, and accessibility of NMM. It's a good story, however, your first times with vortex etc. Happy Gaming!
  7. How? NMM 65.2 shows no mods. It shows the plugins, but no mods are listed.
  8. Let me be clear. The mods installed to Vortex, how do I export them to NMM? How do I designate NMM as the primary mod manager? I want nothing to do with vortex. Even when selecting "files" of a mod, and selecting NMM download, it downloads it to Vortex. This is the issue at hand.
  9. Again, allow me to reiterate my question. NMM forces vortex as the mod installation platform, as wells as the mod installation destination. How do I just go back to NMM, which I've used for years now, and mod my game that way? I'm not seeing a way to do so, which is why I'm astoundingly disappointed.
  10. So you ignored Nexus saying "If you have a working mod setup, STAY WITH YOUR OLD MOD MANAGER" and went ahead and ruined your install. ok, enjoy yourself. lol i dint have a working mod setup. This was a fresh install of SSE, rather than oldrim. Fresh install, fresh mods, fresh manager. Enjoy yourself.
  11. Essentially, where I'm at right now, is reinstall the entire game, redo SKSE, then manually install 457 mods. After 3 days worth of wasting time utilizing Vortex. How dare I be frustrated, amirite?
  12. You joined 3 days ago and your first post was to complain about Vortex without giving any reason why. lol no. I've used NMM since fo3. Get real. I had to make a new account, since apparently 6 mos inactivity no longer allows you to utilize your account. Yes, it ruined my game install. Due to issues pertaining to SKSE64. I could care less about vortex, however, I've installed every mod I intend to use with skyrim se to it. Is there a way to export these mods to NMM, and just use that? I don't need Vortex, as long as I have LOOT and NMM. Additionally, its ironic that you mention me joining 3 days ago. As that is how long I have been dealing with the Vortex issues whilst trying to mod my game. At this rate, I'm more inclined to just dump the mods into my data folder, rather than utilize the mod manager as is. At least that way, I can ensure the files are appropriately placed, and exist where they should.
  13. Yet, it overrides the already functional NMM. Why? What? How? Serious? And these plucks want me to pay for premium?
