  1. How do I install BOSS? I can't find any directions on it. If I just put it in the NMM folder would it install through that? NVM: I seen that it had to be downloaded through google downloads and when I went to the page I seen the installer  Still wondering about SKSE install and load order
  2. Hey guys, so does anyone have any idea if I will be able to run that whole list of mods that I want with my 7950 GPU and 3570k CPU? Is anyone else here using a 7950!
  3. Thank you! Good luck on your mod I will definely check it out when you release it
  4. Another question. What the heck is SKSE and how do I get it?? lol
  5. Oh nevermind I found it with some more investigation. I'm still getting used to the layout of this website. So I'm going to go with the True Vision ENB ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15983#content ) that runs on the ENB version 0.119 One question, can I download all these texture packs on a flash drive now and then install them through NMM when I get my computer or can I only install using NMM by clicking the "Download with NMM" on the mod page?
  6. Wow cool pics man!! Would I be able to buy Skyrim on Steam through my GF's laptop and download it and play it when I get my PC put together?? I just bought the GPU and some other components today (jumping out of my skin with excitement), but I still have to go to micro center and buy the CPU, MOBO, SSD, and HDD. One more question. I have been checking out some ENB's on nexus and I can't seem to find something on the page that tells me where to download the...umm... root ENB?? I don't know what its called but you said the ENB's on nexus are just presets and it will tell me where to find the correct ENB to download. Idk maybe I'm just stupid, but if you could give me an example of where I could find it, it would be really helpful. I just want to say that you have been absolutely awesome with helping me out and I really appreciate that more than words can describe!
  7. So excited guys!! Just purchased the first half of my gaming rig!! MSI Twin Frozr III 7950, Seasonic M12II 620 Watt Power Supply, Cooler Master HAF 912 Case, ASUS DVD burner. Pumped!!! Too bad for my $500 credit limit, I couldn't buy everything. Its fine though, it will give me more time to research modding. Now just waiting to pay off my bill and buy the rest! Going to sell my ps3 games right now and buy Skyrim for the PC!
  8. Good morning everyone! I'm ready for another day of learning!
  9. Ok so I just spent hours researching and compiling this list of mods that I would love to have. Am I dreaming or is this realistic with my system specs (MSI Twin Frozr III 7950 OC'd, Intel Core i5 3570k OC'd, Kingston SSD)? 10. I have a million other questions, but I can't think of them all at once so I will just post as they come to me. Here is #1: Can I combine Lush Trees with Skyrim Bigger Trees? I see in bigger trees there is a lot of detail to them. Is that from a texture pack or from the Bigger Trees mod itself? Also, would I be able to use Pure Waters with WATER? Should I just install Pure Waters after I install WATER so it will overwrite the right files?
  11. Holy crap! and you run all of those mods? What graphics settings are you playing on? I am about to buy myself a i5 3570k with an MSI Twin Frozr III 7950 (along with every other component for a fresh build) and I have been really scared wondering if I would be able to play Skyrim on ultra with everything retextured to 2k since Skyrim is going to be the only game I am going to play for months and months (and months). It's a little scary blindly (well not blindly since I have done HOURS of research on components every day) spending over $1000 on a custom computer build and not knowing if I will be able to play my favorite game with all these mods. I currently own a ps3 and I ruined it for myself by watching some video's of Skyrim with mods on pc. Don't get my wrong, it's an amazing game, but I feel like now when I play I am walking around without my glasses on haha. I really look forward to this journey as I love learning new things and seeing the true beauty in games. and I would love to see some pics!!! Looking forward to that. -Josh
  12. Definelty the most helpful reply yet! Thank you! So I don't think I'm gonna use an ENB. I just want skyrim to look the same, but a thousand times more detailed. I might do some slight lighting mod, but that is it. So can I install the bethesda texture pack through NMM? Also, would I be able to ask you what your system specs are? Thanks agin!
  13. Ok completely disregard my last post. I have changed all those mods after doing some research. THIS is why I am waiting before I start modding. Ok, so should I install an ENB before or after a series of texture mods. Anyways, here is my list. This in order of installation from first to last. The ENB is the only thing I am going to manually install so should that be first or last? I figured I would put it first on the list for the sake of argument. Thanks guys, I hope I am not being too annoying. 14. Sorry about that, I apologize I was on my extremely crappy cell phone and it was running the mobile version because my service is so crappy it would never load the full version so I couldn't search. I was just trying to start a little discussion on the IMAGINATOR ENB. Not trying to come off as lazy or anything like that. Anyways I'm thinking of starting my modding career off with this: ENB by Boris Vorontsos (Will I be able to run this ENB through NMM???) http://enbdev.com/ Skyrim Visual Immersion by Matso http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5587 Skyrim HD - 2K Textures by NebuLa http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=607 Skyrim Flora Overhaul by vurt http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=141 Lush Grass by OpticShooter http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3288 Lush Trees by OpticShooter http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3385 Field of view set to 80 I got this list from this video: I don't want anything to change too much, I just want everything to look extremely beautiful without making it feel like a different game. Does anyone have any opinions on these? Anyone here about this ENB? All opinions and discussion are welcome.
  15. What is IMAGINATOR?? Is that a nexus mod? Could u provide a link to which one u use?
  16. So as a first time modder would you guys just reccommend me to start off installing mods with the NMM for now? So I should just stick to installing them from largest first to smallest last? And just make sure I read the complete description of the mod first? anything else I should do? So should I install, from first to last, 2k textures, lush trees, lush grass, enb, and then small gameplay mods like having satchels next to every alchemy area in all the houses. Would that be the correct way to install those?
  17. and thorough you were! You have made my first steps onto an alien planet a lot less confusing. I want to learn as much as possible before I do this. Thanks!!!
  18. Thank you so much guys! Things are starting to get a little less foggy for me  So is ENB one of those wierd mods that messes with the focus and lighting and stuff like that? Also, how do I back-up a game? Does that process consist of just copying the save files themselves onto a flash drive?
  19. Hey guys. Let me start off by saying that I've been looking these forums for about a week now and have come to the conclusion that this a great community filled with great people. I am going to be starting my first gaming computer build soon almost exclusively to play Skyrim w/ mods. I will be using a Intel core i5 3570k OC'd along with a MSI Twin Frozr III Radeon HD 7950 OC'd. I want to mod the correct way right off the bat and I really have no idea how to start. I want to mod with software that will run smoothly and be able to place them in the correct order. I have already decided that I am going to strictly use nexus and not steam for my mods. I really can't find a detailed walkthrough on how to mod from start to finish. I want to install some texture packs, lush grass, etc. Just make the game more beautiful than it already is and also install some gameplay enhancement mods (not too many of those though). Also I have no idea what an ENB is, but is there a version that runs smoother than another? As you can tell I'm totally lost and overwhelmed with all of this so if someone can take a little time to walk me through what to do and how to manage my mods I really would appreciate that so much. Thanks guys! -Josh
