I'm having the same problem. I install it and do the ini tweaks like instructed. And it's still vanilla. Don't even get the icon at the start screen saying it's active. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. I get it to run no problem on NV. Had it runnning fine before on FO3. Since doing a fresh install it's been nothing but problems

I just got New Vegas for my Dell Inspiron 660. i5 3300 quad core 3.0ghz, 8 gbs ram, Nvidia gt620 graphics card, Windows 8 64bit. When I try to load a game from the main menu, it'll stay on the loading screen. I been searching forums trying to figure it out. Nothing's been working so far. When I first installed the game it would crash to Windows at the copyright screen. I uninstalled the game and started from scratch. It was working fine for a day, then this problem started. I'm getting frustrated. I've got Fallout 3 heavily modded running perfect. As well as Skyrim running perfect. I would think New Vegas shouldn't have a problem if Skyrim runs.
