  1. I've discovered the issue. As it turns out, I managed to replicate the crash on my desktop. I replaced the Skyrim.ini with a new one (fortunately, I backed up the stable one). Verifying integrity won't help. Therefore, I took the good one from my desktop and put it in my laptop. Now, I can load my saves.
  2. Are you wearing head gear? Take it off.
  3. I have a similar issue, as posted in another thread Here, and this is one of the options I've thought of trying. However, while checking for previous versions there are none listed. Where would I be able to find them? I've had skyrim since 1.5 I believe, maybe sooner. Just as sintesse stated, I'm at my wits end as well. I feel google rolling it's eyes at me when I start typing "C++ Error Skyrim". LOL I'm assuming that after you installed, it updated directly to 1.7, not incrementally. If that's the case, give me your email and I'll send you a copy of mine. I can't post it here because it violates the terms of service.
  4. Right click on your TESV.exe, go to previous versions then extract the 1.6 TESV.exe. I did that and it allowed me to play without issues. It also works fine with Dawnguard.
  5. I have two computers with the same exact mods installed. On my desktop, I can play on the 1.6 TESV.exe without any issues. The 1.7 TESV.exe crashes in certain indoor cells, caves in particular. However, my issues is that I can't load any save whatsoever on my laptop with the exception of starting an new game or loading my earliest save (right after character creation). Other saves, such as the most recent ones that work fine on my desktop keep crashing on my laptop. I've updated my video card drivers and have tried to load without any mods, but no luck. Can anyone give me a hand?
  6. Everytime you start a session, reload any save. You should be good until you start another session.
  7. Whenever you first start a session, load a save, and reload. That should solve the issue until you start a new session.
  8. I was considering reloading an older save, however, the next most recent stable save was 20 hours past. I've tried eliminating as many mods as possible and I know all my drivers are updated (I'm an obsessive stiff about updated drivers). I've tried disabling MSE, but so far, the only solution I've discovered is rolling back my TESV.exe. So far, I've been able to run Dawnguard and everything without issues, but this is still most likely a temporary solution.
  9. Thus far, the only way I managed to fix the issue is to rollback Skyrim. Right click TESV.exe, go to Properties, then select the Previous Versions tab. You should make a back up of the original 1.7 .exe first. I also happen to notice that this crashing only occurred in cave cells.
  10. I had another solution. Everytime you start your game, reload a save, any save and that should solve the issue for that session. It's always worked for me in other Bethesda games.
  11. I already deleted and replaced all .ini files. Same effect. I have to use the 1.6 TESV.exe to avoid crashing in caves.
